The usage and thedisposal of plastics is one the main factors that contribute to the environmental pollution. Theharmful procedures of manufacturing of plastics not only affect the workers in the process butalso affect the other occupants of the ecosystem. Plastic not only takes more time to decomposebut the breakdown also lays impact on the environmentThis assignment reflects on the usage of plastics as well as the impact it lays on the environmentas a whole. This report further investigates on the topic with some research questions that havebeen developed to effectively target on the plastic recycling and the sustainable alternatives thatcan be used to nullify the effects of plastics on the environment and the ecosystem. This reportinvolves the research that has been done through secondary methods and the gatheredinformation summarized and analyzed to a descriptive analysis. This report further elaborates onthe relevance of the topic with the Australian Curriculum as well as how this topic is related tothe rationale of sustainability in the Australian Curriculum priorities. The main purpose of this report is to understand the impacts and the effects of plastics in theenvironment along with a clear idea about plastic recycling. The purpose of this report is to help understand the significance of plastic recycling andwhy recycling needs to be done.Problem StatementPlastic recycling is one of the important steps to keep the environment clean and hazardfree. However, the main problem statement is sustainable means to recycle plastics is one of theeffective and efficient ways to recycle the plastics and keep the environment hazard free. Themain area of investigation that has been chosen is based on the initiative that can be taken tosuccessfully use sustainable means to recycle plastics as a part of the recycling program. Plasticsis the main source of non-degradable products, which takes a lot of time to decompose, and thesometimes the recycling proves to be too costly and directly or indirectly these methods also layan impact on the external environment. The main purpose of doing the same is to excavate newerways to degrade and recycle plastics without dispersing any of the harmful effects on theenvironment and its components.
