INTRODUCTION
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is termed as a self – regulating managerial model
that aid the business of management to be socially responsible to maintain their stakeholders and
as well as public. It support management in various manners that support management to
influence and retain their workers to enhance the image and as well as goodwill of the business
by maximising awarenesses of goods and facilities (Basile, Capobianco, and Vona, 2021). The
management consider in this report is Amazon. It is an international technology brand that
concentrates on e – commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming and as well as artificial
intelligence. The following report covers the waste hierarchy in delivering sustainability by using
waste hierarchy framework and furthermore areas of threats and opportunities. At last it follows
key sustainable challenges in terms of social, environmental and economical issues that are faced
by the Amazon by using triple bottom line theory with practical issues and solutions.

threats and opportunities
Waste hierarchy framework is a tool that are utilised in the procedure that secure the
environmental resources and energy consumption from suitable section to least favourable
activities. The hierarchy refers to the program that are based on sustainability. By managing
sustainability, waste management will be resolve the issues and effectively try to make solutions
with an incorporated approaches that are effective. In relation to the Amazon, waste management
hierarchy framework represents an order of preference for activities to decrease and maintain
waste that are basically given graphically in the structure of pyramid (Bawono, and Rahmana,
2021). The waste hierarchical framework covers 5 sections that are as follows - Prevention – By preventing and decreasing the waste production of the goods in the
management. Reuse and preparation for reuse – By offering the goods another second opportunities
before it become waste. Recycle – It covers recovery functions in that waste materials are refined into goods,
substantial and components for an unique or another purposes. It involves compositions
that will not covers incineration.

Recovery – It involves waste products for that management and make them upgrades
with the less ineffective furnace.
Disposal It covers the procedure to discard of waste with land – filling, combustion,
transformation, gasification and another effective solutions.
Areas of opportunities
Management is functioning with the aim of serving to their consumers and satisfying
their requirements and desires. For it, they require to know requirements and wants of
individuals that enable them to create goods as according to desires of users. In relation to
the Amazon, for create goods and facilities of consumers, managers of business need help
from diverse stakeholders of a business that involves consumers, suppliers, shareholders
and society (Ferreira, and et.al., 2021). Users offers supports to management in various
manner that supports them to manage their functions without issues. On the other hand,
such users is not offering help to management that develop issues for management.
Users offers several advantages to management as they maximise the awareness. They
develop culture positivity for individuals and also create trust between individuals that
will enables them to maximise popularity of their brand between local community.
Areas of threats
Deficiency of support from users is not effective situation for management as it develop
restrictions for management and individuals is against their management. It will develop
negative goodwill in mindset of their customer and it will also have an impact on
sustainability of management.
By maximising negative goodwill of business in marketplace it also maximise inference
of government in managerial functions and it will have outcome in management failure.

company (Triple Bottom line theory) and practical issues and solutions
Environment faces various sort of the issues and many of these sections can be declining
with period of time (Geldres-Weiss, and et.al., 2021). It plays significant role in raising
awarenesses of such key issues that can be done to decrease their negative effects. As some of
the key issues are as follows - Pollution – Pollution of air, water and soil are the reason that created by toxins like
plastics, heavy metals and nitrates. It is caused by factor like toxins and gases that are

released by management. To overcome it, government should ban to impose managerial
waste to public areas. Global warming – The discharge of greenhouse gases by human activities will causes
with global warming that will cause an increment in temperature that will lead to rise in
disaster. Overpopulation – Management of Amazon are facing shortage of resources like food,
water and fuel to survive the rising global population (Goni, and et.al., 2021). Modifier
agricultural will lower the issues to damage by the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides
and insecticides. In respect to overcome such issue, managers of Amazon adapt corporate
social responsibility that will enable them to efficiently solve this issues.
Waste disposal – Higher number of waste is created and dumped in the water in which
nuclear waste and as well as plastic and electronic waste are also not safe for the
environment.
Potential solution of problems:
Government initiatives - Government is taking several course of the initiatives in
respect to control pollutions in their nation that develop issues for business. Production
procedure of some management are releasing harmful gases and chemical by this
government have created several laws and rules to overcome it.
Increasing awareness – There is higher maximisation awareness between individuals of
UK who are related to environmental terms that is beneficial for government and as well
as the management in decreasing the pollution level in that nation.
Pollution - Pollution is termed as a fundamental issues that local community is not
stimulating (He, and Ortiz, 2021). By making sure that the management use trash bags
that will recycle or biodegradable and always cut up the plastic rings from packages of
alcoholic sections to prevent wildlife from getting caught.
Mismanagement of local authorities - Mismanagement is localised term that will lead
to issues between users with the deficiency of support from community to management.
As by educating and providing knowledge about what can or cannot be recycled as not
formative and packing material is acceptable.

Strength and weakness of solution:
CSR is offering solutions to issues that are faced by management that are linked to
deficiency of community engagement in management. Such solutions enable management to
resolve issues in efficient way and decrease negative effects of such factors (Mattera, and et.al.,
2021). As there are several strength and weaknesses of such solutions for Amazon's manager.
Strength Profitability and Value - CSR support to enhance profitability and standards of
business. By using diverse techniques in a business it will support organisation to cut
down functional value and advantages of environment.
Weakness
CSR cost money - CSR is one of the solution that support management to overcome the
issues in terms of Social, Environmental and Economic issues.
Triple bottom line
The triple bottom line is a managerial framework in which management evaluate their
social and environmental effects in terms of their financial performance and concentrates on
producing profit (Norris, Hagenbeck, and Schaltegger, 2021). Profit- In Amazon, the management effectively rely on their financial performance and
profit that produces for shareholders. People- Management are maximising sustainability and shifted their concentration
towards consumers, workers,
Planet- Every management have opportunity to make variations that decrease their
carbon footprint.
