INTRODUCTION
In toady's context energy is termed as physical based worked with the standard unit of
energy is joule. There are basically nine major areas of resources of energy (Akhtar, and
Rehmani, 2015). The both renewable and non renewable sources of energy as consist of nuclear,
coal, natural gas have limited supply. This is because they take a very long time to regenerate in
nature for longer duration of time. The renewable energy resources are replenished naturally and
it takes a short period of time. The main five resources of renewable energy are wind, solar,
water, geothermal and biomass. Sustainable energy is defined as the form of energy that meet the
demand of today without putting them in danger of extinction and these can be used again and
again. The energy demand is increasing faster as the population is growing. People around the
world require energy for doing daily activities of the day. So, it is important to conserve energy
for using it for a long period of time. The demand of energy of countries are increasing every
day. This depends on the developing economy and the change in sociological economic
structure This causes energy deficit i.e. failure of increase energy generation. If a country's
economy will experiences lack of energy resources, then it will lead to decrease in low economic
growth along with the manufacturing with the help of exiting production. The direct as well as
indirect procurement of energy affects the production structure of any country and budget
balance in the international and national markets. These reflects various economic problems such
as current account deficit. Due to this, energy has become an important issue of world. The
energy resources are under control of selected countries. These countries face a potential
problem of losing the security of energy procurement. This give rise to another problem
including the cost of consumption incurred by the energy resources needed for meeting the
increasing demands. These ambiguities in the procurement of of energy leads to failure of
achieving sustainable growth and welfare loss. Therefore, there is a need of timely procurement
of high quality energy at an affordable price. Herein, it promote to have effective operation with
in economy and sustainable growth. According to Fenton, 2015, energy is claimed as one of the
key indicators of economic growth. The production of a country depends on the amount of it's
energy consumption. The development of country id based on ability of creating greater
economic value with less energy. This means delivery of same amount of production with less
energy. The development level of those countries in which production structure depends upon
the energy imports makes economy vulnerable. This is because the increase in energy

consumption disrupts the macroeconomic equilibrium. On the other hand, in developing
countries, there is high current account deficit because there is inefficient use of energy in both
production as well as consumption. This makes such economies more vulnerable related to price
volatility and procurement. Thus, it is concluded that energy consumption is important for the
growth of economy.
Type of energy used
Sustainable energy is a part of both regenerate or renewable energy sources that are
acquire by many sources of energy in order to have power in homes and industries (Frederiks,
Stenner and Hobman, 2015). The effect to environment are beneficial by these energy sources
that is why people use these forms of energy. Here are different kinds of effective or sustainable
energy which are described below-
Solar energy- It is referred as one of the best and effective form of sustainable energy. It is the
best form of sustainable energy. This light consists of ray and warmth as bothy are necessary for
the effective purpose in evaluating the day to day life actives. For such purpose they have
different organisation who are taking measure in developing solar panel so that it can be used for
the purpose of heat and energy
Wind energy- Wind is sustainable energy source. This is tapped for producing great amount of
power that can be used in various places. It is being commercialised as different organisation
who have invested on the power aids along with windmills to have energy sources. Wind energy
is the future of power consumption of people.
Geothermal energy- Geothermal energy uses energy available inside the earth. This energy is
obtained be installing geothermal power station which basically coming out heat from the earth.
This energy is harmful in those area which consist of activity which are related to prone of
volcano.
Ocean energy- Water is available in around 70% of the earth. The ocean energy is obtained by
three ways like wave, tidal or ocean thermal energy conversion (Hosseini and Wahid, 2016).
Waves at oceans can be converted to energy waves in creating out mechanical power to tribes
which are evaluated in electric from through generators. Thus, it creates waves in ocean that are
usually imbalance in ecological.

Biomass energy- It is generated by burning of timber or wood particulars or agriculture waste
and municipal waste product. This is renewable energy that does not produce harmful gases that
may be hazardous to human life.
Hydroelectric power- Hydroelectric power is common form of energy and it is the biggest form
of alternative energy. This energy is exported by different countries to those countries which are
unable to harness it by their own as they lack resources or conditions.
Fossil fuels – Fossil fuels provide power to world by using oil and coal. Oil is converted to many
products specially gasoline. Natural gas is becoming more common and it is used by heating
applications. There are heavy destructions and pollution of environment while conversion of
fossil fuel. The reserves of fossil fuel are limited and they will take another 100 years to get
converted into fossil fuels.
Impact on the environment
The sustainable usually empower with different type of business environment that impact
both on positive and negative manner. On the other hand, it can make use of large of land and
infrastructure that are usable within nature. It may disrupting marine life, bird life and flora or
fauna and produce noise and visual pollution (Li and Zheng, 2016). The most important effects
on the environment are visual effects, noise, electromagnetic interference and bird safety. The
wing turbines are exposed in areas and highly visible. These are considered by people and these
have been increased with larger size of new generation turbines. Herein wind turbines usually
consist on noise as air passes over large blades which create mechanical noise from the different
moving parts. For such purpose it has developed with advance design so that it can reduce noise
and can de developed at far that are apart from highly populated areas. Moreover, winds turbine
that scattered with electromagnetic devices which are causes with interferences in
communicating system
The better designs have reduced noise and wind farms are developed far from highly populated
areas. The wind turbines scatter electromagnetic signals which causes interference to
communication systems. Birds get killed when they collide with rotating blades of turbine. This
can be reduced by sitting the turbines away from migratory routes.
Global shift in economic output

impact of sustainable energy deployment on welfare is estimated to be four to five times larger
than the impact on GDP. This increases the global welfare by 3.7 percent. The employment in
sustainable energy sector will increase from 9.2 million global jobs to more than 24 million jobs.
The transition in greater shares of sustainable sources will cause shift in trade patterns. The
growth in sustainable energy has reduced mitigation of climate change by deployment of
renewable energy and achieving socio economic targets.
Energy shortages in developing countries can have major impacts
The developing countries are most affected by the extinction of sustainable energy. There
are around 1.1 billion people who are still waiting for electricity and around 2.9 billion people
who rely on traditional way of cooking. It is important for the country The operating electricity
grids in remote areas is not economically feasible for electricity suppliers In the developing and
emerging countries. The technology of sustainable energy is affordable by only developed
countries. The developing countries have abundant renewable energy resources such as wind
energy, solar energy, geothermal energy and biomass energy (Luthra, Garg, and Haleem, 2015).
Countries can develop and reduce the dependence on natural and oil gas. This creates energy
portfolios which are less vulnerable to rise price. The investments in renewable energy is less
expensive than fossil fuel energy systems. On the other hand, the electricity grid extensions are
not economical in isolated rural areas. The off grid renewable technologies gives a cost effective
and sustainable alternative to the diesel generators. The sustainable energy technology helps in
displacing other unsustainable energy sources like traditional biomass and kerosene lamps.
Lack of access to energy services of adequate quality and quantity
The sustainable resources are not accessible by every country equally. There are
different factors which affects the use of sustainable energy in a country. These are described
below-

Political and regulatory barriers – The lack of regulations and policies which favours the
development of sustainable energy technologies can stop adoption of the technologies in some
countries. There must be regulatory measures like standards and codes which enhances the
adoption of renewable energy technologies by reducing technological and regulatory risk in
investment of projects.
Technical barriers- These involves inadequate technology and lack of infrastructure which is
required for supporting the technologies. Several countries are importing technologies as they
have lack of trained people who can demonstrate, train, operate and maintain renewable energy
structures. There are some countries in which renewable energy technologies are cost
disadvantaged when compared to non renewable technologies like coal fired production (Pérez-
Collazo, Greaves and Iglesias, 2015). The technologies cost high therefore, people use coal
generated energy.
Socio cultural barriers- There are some socio cultural barriers which hinders in adopting
renewable energy. This is because of the fear of unreliability.
Financial and economic barriers- The rate of renewable energy depends on initial capital,
economic status, transaction cost, availability of incentives and subsidies. There are many
producers which keep initial investment and it costs low while maximising profits. There is high
cost of investment which have a significant barrier to the operation of sustainable energy
solutions (Romero-Rubio and de Andrés Díaz, 2015). There are several developing countries that
lack adequate renewable energy technologies.
Look for alternative energy sources- renewable
There must be alternatives for sustainable energy as people cannot rely on only some of
the resources for performing daily activities. Fossil fuels affects the climatic change in
environment. There are advantages of using other renewable sources. It benefits by lower
emissions, lower fuel prices and reduction of pollution. The various alternatives used at place of
fuel are tidal energy, hydrogen energy, biomass energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, wave
energy, bio gas, hydroelectric energy, nuclear energy and solar energy.
Pros and cons
The different advantages and disadvantages of renewable energy sources are explained in
this paragraph. The wind turbines used for producing electricity creates no pollution and it
requires limited maintenance (Steg, Perlaviciute and van der Werff, 2015). The disadvantage of

using this is that it cannot work when wind is not blowing. The biomass power are obtained from
trees , plants and organic materials. The benefits of this is it is abundant and cleaner than fossil
fuel. On the other hand, disadvantage of this is that it causes air pollution and takes a lot of
energy in producing energy.
CONCLUSION
From the above assignment it is concluded that sustainable energy is the energy that
meets needs of present generation and it does not worry about future generations. Sustainable
energy includes finding a clean , renewable source of energy that gets renewed by itself rather
than depleting the source.
