The plastic collection is a major initiative carried out not only in Australia but also in other parts of the world. This case study will analyze Eco Barge Clean Seas Inc which focuses on the protection aquatic environment in Whitsunday. Eco Barge Clean Seas Inc is small organization that engages the community to protect marine life(Van Dam & Apeldoorn, 2016). It organizes various activities and programs aimed at cleaning the marine environment for a better survival of marine animals. Some of the activities carried out by the organization include the removal of the marine debris and cleaning streets along with the marine environment. The organization has involved school children who help to clean the marine environment. It has been estimated that the organization has about 5000 members registered. These members help in removal of more than 177 tones of the marine debris within the Whitsunday region over the last 9 years(Elphinstone & Gibson, 2010). Eco Barge Clean Seas Inc is not a profit organization but a volunteer firm that needs a lot of financial support. Eco Barge Clean Seas Inc sustainability strategies Plastic pollution is one of the major threats in the marine environment; Eco Barge Clean SeasIncwaslaunchedin theyear2013 topreventplasticpollutionwithinthemarine environment. The sustainability plan of the organization is to make sure that any injured or sick marine turtle or any other animal is provided with immediate treatment(Hamann, 2019). Some of the activities require heavy machines which are expensive and therefore lack of financial support has been a major challenge of the program(Vorhies & Morgan, 2015). Some activities are carried out well due to the lack of proper equipment. In addition, monitoring and controlling the public from polluting the coastline and island has been another challenge. Some people do not understand the importance of the program and therefore they do not cooperate. The organization has incurred a lot of costs to make sure that their mission is accomplished daily. Analysis of the situation In situation analysis, the discussion will focus on collection practices used to analyze Eco Barge Clean Seas Inc activities(Wheeller, 2016). There various sustainability practices that will be analyzed for a successful plastic collection program by Eco Barge Clean Seas Inc. Some of the practices will be analyzed below: Monitoring sustainability practice This practice involves constant evaluation of the activities going on within the coastal regions. Eco Barge Clean Seas Inc has come with monitoring teams that go around the Whitsunday coastal region and islands monitoring the activities of the tourists and residents (Levine, 2017). This is one of the major practices used by the organization to collect and control the spread of the plastic pollutants. The recycling program has been so helpful in various ways. First, it has been economical and boosted the economy of the region as people collect plastic along the seacoast for sell(Arthur, 2016). Generally, instead of dropping plastics and other litter within the cost region, people have been taking them for recycling. People are paid for bringing the recycling products and therefore this is a better strategy to make sure much of the litter is brought for recycling instead of polluting the marine environment. In addition, this has been another source of money for Eco Barge Clean Seas Inc simply because they are paid by the cycling company. Other aspects included are; I.Role of planning Eco Barge Clean Seas Inc has come up with debris collection planning theory to make the program effective. Having so many members, the management team has allocated various people with different tasks(Critchell, 2015). They have come up with the collection program making sure that every day, plastic litter and any other debris is collected from the island and coastline. The planning theory maintains a constant collection of marine debris to prevent accumulation. Through the program, the organization has gotten help from the community and schools(Fleming, 2011). They take this opportunity to educate communities and schools about the importance of keeping the marine environment free from plastic pollution. In addition, the organization has social media education program about the effects of plastic pollutants in marine and island regions(Zeppel, 2011). The organization has well-trained experts who are well trained and specialized to deal with any issue arising. III.Role of leading The management team organizes for the marine cleaning event and make sure that they provide adequate tools and equipment to be used(MacDonald, 2014). The organization is teaming up with other local businesses in the process of expanding its volunteer network. It also increases more participation in the program. In addition, the program led by management to partner with other organization increase awareness about the purpose of the organization. Eco Barge Clean Seas Inc is working with different other organizations that aim to transform the state of the marine environment(Yender & Mearns, 2013). In addition, it is working with the artists who use the plastic disposed along the sea line and islands to make artistic ornaments. IV.Role of control

In cooperation with the government policies on environmental policies, the organization has warned the community against pollution of the marine environment(Martin & Schaffelke, 2014). There are penalties imposed for anyone caught polluting the marine environment. The purpose of coming up with these control and regulation policies to make sure that the people are responsible and keep the marine environment unpolluted(Critchell & Lambrechts, 2016). In addition, some pollutant products are prohibited within the marine area. People are not allowed to carry the plastic bottles or any other plastic materials which may pollute the environment. In addition, tourists are warned against polluting the marine areas they visit. Recommendations There are various areas that Eco Barge Clean Seas Inc should improve and establish to make sure that their strategies are well achieved. It should create awareness about its programs and advertisement on social media. They should make the organization a global thing where anyone can join to save the lives of marine animals. In addition, they should make use of the local schools nearby to help in the collection of the program. Actually, they should agree with the head of the schools around to allocate every school a special day for cleaning of the marine environment. I think by so doing, there will be increased manpower and a lot of plastic pollutants will be collected in the process. They should as well arrange for community education about the effects of marine pollution and what they should do to avoid it. By doing so, many people will understand the important associated with controlling plastic pollution in the Whitsunday marine region.
