INTRODUCTION
Sustainability is a major concern in the 21st century due to different major environment
based concerns like global warming (Brey, Carazo and Brey, 2018). It is essential for the
organisations and citizens to focus on developing sustainability in order to develop a welfare
based nation. In the recent times major organisations are focusing on developing various policies
and plans which are appropriate in bringing development in sustainability. In this report example
of electric vehicles and cars is taken into consideration for better understanding dimensions of
sustainability and user-friendliness. This project also covers a brief research of the EV industry
and evaluation that they are truly sustainable. The report also covers a discussion on reducing
carbon emissions and slowing down climate change. This project also covers a reflection on
current lifestyle and a reflective document on how I could comply with sustainability ideals.

PART A
MAIN BODY
Conduct a detailed research of the EV industry and critically evaluate whether they are truly
sustainable
The EV market is rising at a rapid pace in United Kingdom which is a major sign of
increasing sustainability. If the latest vehicle stats are taken into consideration then electronic car
market is booming. In the year 2021, EV car sales increased by 76.3% which is major indicator of
green economy. In the year 2022, there are estimated 400000 electric cars on the road in UK and
around 75000 plug in hybrids. According to electric car market statistics, the car market is growing
in a quick manner with over 395000 pure electric cars which will on the roads of UK by the last of
December 2021. The electric cars in industry of UK are also silent which creates less noise
pollution in the country. Silent operations of the electric cars is beneficial for whole economy in a
precise and systematic manner (de Rubens, 2019). It is also a fact that United Kingdom is having
more electric cars charging points than petrol stations. If the data is taken into consideration, As of
May 2020, the public charging points are more than the number of petrol pumps in whole
economy. The government of UK is also planning to introduce green licence plates for electronic
vehicles. Also the Prince Charles has recently bought electric Jaguar SUV and also installed fast
electric car charger. It is also a major fact that new electric car is registered in UK every nine
minutes which is a great figure. The government of UK is also providing subsidies and support to
electric car manufacturing companies in order to achieve best results. The support of government is
increasing and developing major enthusiasm in different companies and is also enhancing
sustainable practices.
The electric vehicles are rapidly growing in the market of UK and demand for E-vehicles is
also doubling in last years. In the year 2019, the Electrical vehicles industry investment was around
54 Billion GBP. Now the figures are increased at a rapid pace and in the January 2022 this
investment has increased to 80 Billion GBP. The government is also developing major strategies
for overcoming various issues and challenges faced by the e-vehicle industry. It is also one of the
major role and responsibility of government to also charge less tax on manufacturing of different e
vehicles (Delmonte, Kinnear, and Skippon, 2020). The EV market of UK is also facing various
hurdles and obstacles which are doing major impact on its cost. It is also one of the major role of

government of United Kingdom to focus on development of different schemes and plans which are
important for systematic development of EV industry. The electronic cars market is performing its
level best in the UK and also faced various difficulties related to manufacturing due to COVID-19
pandemic. It is one of the major role of an electric car manufacturing company to develop more
efficient vehicles in order to compete with conventional vehicles. Most of the EV car
manufacturing companies in the international and national marketplace focus on development of
electronic vehicles in order to promote environment based practices. It is the ethical responsibility
of an EV manufacturing company to focus on analysing key development based goals and
objectives for sustainability (Eftekhari, 2019). The marketplace of UK related to EV, will receive a
major change in the coming 5 years due to the effectiveness of them. Electric vehicles usage in UK
is also increasing due to the price hike in petrol based vehicles. All major companies of UK which
are manufacturing EV vehicles are demanding for government support for the long term
development of an organisation. The government of UK is also coming up sustainable
development based goals and objectives which are to be achieved in a set period of time. It is also
one of the major role of citizens of United Kingdom to follow norms and regulations developed by
government for long term development of the economy. In the recent times, it is major role and
responsibility of a company to analyse key policies related to EV issued by government in order to
achieve best and optimum results. This is also major role of government of UK to enhance
infrastructure of the country by developing more charging stations. The guidelines issued by
government of a country should be followed by major companies of EV manufacturing to provide
sustainable vehicles to general public (Küfeoğlu, and Hong, 2020). The electronic vehicles are
truly sustainable because they generate very less pollution which is beneficial for whole country.
Are EVs the answer to reducing carbon emissions and slowing down climate change
Yes, the Electronic Vehicle is making a good change in the society, which help to reduce
the environment climate change and reducing the carbon emission as compare to conventional
vehicle because conventional vehicle impact the environment climate very badly and increased the
carbon emission day to day. If the Electronic vehicle manufacture then it consume very less
resources which will impact the environment climate in a very effective way and help to reduce the
carbon emissions (Küfeoğlu, and Melchiorre, 2020). In the today scenario due to the conventional
vehicle the environment is impact very badly and and carbon is also increasing, people not feel
safe to take breathe in the open area because people have to face many health issue from the bad

environment and it decrease the life-long of the human lives. If the Electronic vehicle
manufactured only then it help to reduce the carbon an help to clean the environment and this will
increased the life-long of human lives. The government have to take an initial steps towards the
conventional vehicle to reduce the manufacturing and increased the manufacturing of Electronic
vehicles and provide service related to electronic vehicle so people used easily and feel
comfortable and adopt this change easily in the life. The people have only choice to buy the
Electronic Vehicle only, so that the use of conventional vehicle reduce automatically in the market
and this will impact the environment clean and reduce the carbon.
Generally the people prefer to travel in the public transport for the daily basis work,
because it cheap as according to other transport services. If the government start electronic public
transport services for the people then it will make a huge positive impact in the environment
climate (Küfeoğlu, Melchiorre, and Kotilainen, 2019). As the technology is upgrading it will help
to reduce the carbon emission and help to increase the environment by using updated resources to
manufacture the Electronic Vehicle in the market. In the UK, the condition of environment is
improving as the citizen of UK prefer the electronic vehicle only, they use very less equipments
which will impact the environment in a negative impact. That's why the environment condition of
UK is good according to the other country environment condition. They fastly adopt the changes
which help and make a positive impact on the environment climate. They use very less of carbon
emission due to the advancement of technology they used to manufactured and use the resources
an effective way to built the Electronic Vehicle.
PART B
Examine your current lifestyle and write a reflective document on how you could comply with
the sustainability ideals
I am very passionate about sustainability and its application in my personal life in order
to develop effectiveness. I usually prefer various sustainable practices which are important for
me to take care of the environment. I generally use electric motor vehicles in order to create less
pollution in the city. I also advice to my colleagues about using the electric vehicles including
cars and motor bikes to communicate between places. In my opinion sustainability is the greatest
idea developed by government for maintaining and minimising level of pollution (Muneer,
Kolhe, and Doyle, 2017). All major companies which are related to motor vehicle manufacturing

in UK are now focusing on developing e-vehicles for long term growth of economy. I consider
that low or less pollution is the key for keeping safe environment of the country. In my lifestyle I
also focus on doing less paper work for minimising the impact on environment. I also advise to
my family members about using Eco friendly techniques to keep the surroundings safe and
secure. I am also following three major principles of environment friendliness which are reduce,
reuse and recycle.
I am developing a strategic planning framework in order to comply with major
sustainability ideals. This will help me in increasing my approach towards sustainability in this
competitive scenario. I am also planning to buy an electric car which produces less emissions to
prevent focus on climate change (Onat, Kucukvar, and Afshar, 2019). I am observing that air
pollution is rising in a major sense in different countries and creating problems for the youth. It is
also one of the major role of citizens to follow norms and regulations issued by government in
order to develop best sustainable practices. I will also comply with sustainability based ideas
with the help and support of ethical and sustainable practices taught by my professors and
teachers. I am also planning to create mass awareness related to use of electronic vehicles which
will be helpful in promoting sustainable practices. I will also analyse different factors which are
responsible for increasing the core competitive value related to use of Electric vehicles. In order
to increase the gross green index of the UK, it is also necessary for the government to bring
systematic planning based on different goals and objectives (Strielkowski, Štreimikienė, and
Bilan, 2017). I will also focus on following e-principle and techniques which are developed by
government of the country to comply with sustainability ideals. In order to comply more
accurately with sustainability ideals, it is essential for an individual to focus on key principles of
sustainability.
