INTRODUCTION
In the recent times due to increase in pollution, importance of sustainability has increased
in an effective manner (Carmichael, and Green, 2021). Major concerns like climate change and
global warming has created an urgent need of developing a major sustainable approach in the
country. It is major role and responsibility of government of United Kingdom to focus on
development of sustainable practices. Government of United Kingdom is involved in
development of effective plans and strategic frameworks which are essential for long term
development of a business. There is an urgent need of giving boost to manufacturing Electric
vehicles in order to control pollution. In this report there is a brief explanation of Electric cars
and their application for conserving environment. This project includes the evaluation on
Electric vehicle industry of UK and its sustainability. This report majorly covers a reflection on
my personal lifestyle and a major overview of myself in order to comply with various
sustainability ideals.

PART A
MAIN BODY
Conduct a detailed research of the EV industry and critically evaluate whether they are truly
sustainable
In the current scenario, growth of EV industry is termed as a major concern for the
government of UK. If the data related to Electric vehicle market is taken into consideration then it
is rising at a maximum speed due to promotion of sustainability. The sales of electric vehicles has
increased by 73.7% which clearly states that sales of EV is rising at a fast pace. According to the
statistics, 400000 electric cars are currently on the roads of UK which is a major figure (Electric
vehicles in United Kingdom, 2022). The electric vehicles are environment friendly as they create
less or minimal pollution. If the example of Prince Charles is taken into consideration, he has also
bought electric car and installed its charger at home. In the year 2022, there is an estimate that over
50000 electric cars will be rolled out along with their manufacturing. The trend of electric vehicles
came into existence in the year 2018 with the introduction of government's plan related to
sustainability. If the number of charging points are considered, they are more than number of petrol
pumps (Ehrler, Schöder, And Seidel, 2021). It is clear sign of developing sustainability in the
environment which is majorly important for all people of country. According to a survey 72% of
people of London prefer to choose electric vehicles over conventional vehicles. This is one of the
major role of EV industry to develop electric cars with advanced tools and techniques in order to
make them more competitive. All major e-vehicles which are manufactured by different companies
should be also speed friendly in order to make transportation fast. There are different companies
which are functioning in international marketplace related to e vehicles manufacturing. The
government of UK is also providing support to major companies which manufactures e vehicles by
the development of corporate laws. Rules and regulations are also formulated and developed by
government of UK for the maintenance of clean and healthy environment.
The policies which are formulated by government of UK related to welfare of environment
should be followed by companies and citizens in an ethical manner. This will create a welfare and
well managed economy as transportation services are rising at a rapid pace. It will be also one of
the major role of a company to implement policy of government with effective supervision and
control for the achievement of desired results. All major companies in the international and

national marketplace should manufacture electric vehicles with latest technology for focused
approach. Also it is major role and responsibility of government to focus on providing financial
support in the form of subsidies. The electric vehicles are truly sustainable because they emit less
carbons as compared to conventional vehicles (Küfeoğlu, and Hong, 2020). Electric vehicle are
also environment friendly and cause less air pollution which is beneficial for whole public.
According to a major research, a typical passenger vehicle emits about 4.6 tons of carbon dioxide
per year (In depth information of e-cars and their emissions, 2022). The electric vehicles are also
more energy efficient which defines the level of their sustainability. TESLA company has also
arrived in UK which is a major example of self efficient electric vehicle. In the recent times, it is
major role and responsibility of citizens to focus on following major e-policy which is developed
by government of UK. All major companies which are involved in development of e-vehicles
should focus on developing environment friendly batteries. Research and development department
of government of UK also suggests that, general public should use e vehicles for better
development of the environment. Sustainability of electric vehicles manufacturing should be
developed by the help of following key goals and policies. It is one of the major role of electric
manufacturing company to hire professional engineers in the manufacturing process for
development of latest technology based e-vehicles. E vehicles are also truly sustainable because of
their strengths like fuel efficiency, less pollution and latest features.
Are EVs the answer to reducing carbon emissions and slowing down climate change
The electric vehicles trends is rising in a major sense in the economy of UK as all of the
citizens want green economy. Climate change and global warming are creating a major issue for
the government as well as for the citizens. It should be the topmost priority of government to focus
on development of Electric vehicles in order to stop the carbon emissions or to conserve the
environment (Kumar, and Chakrabarty, 2020). Electric vehicles cause less emissions as compared
to the conventional vehicles which results in development of clean and healthy environment. All
major companies in the international and national marketplace which are related to manufacturing
of auto-mobiles should shift to manufacture EV for country welfare. Carbon emissions cause more
pollution to the environment causing breath related diseases which are harmful for citizens. In the
recent times, climate change is also a major concern for government which involves development
of unstable weather conditions. The government of UK is also taking the climate change as a major

concern which is impacting on whole country. It is also one of the major role of citizens to promote
usage of electric vehicles for reducing carbon emissions.
The carbon emissions are also rising at a rapid phase which is creating a major loophole in
the economy. Pollution levels are rising at a rapid phase in the economy due to industrial, vehicle
and factories based pollution. In the current scenario, electric vehicles are considered as major
answer for creating less pollution. This is also one of the major role of government agencies to
provide effective solutions for promoting usage of electric vehicles. Electric vehicles also have
charging facilities unlike petrol stations, which creates a formal and ethical environment. In order
to increase efficiency and effectiveness of E-vehicles, government can take assistance of
information and technology (Last, Agbro, and Asthana, 2021). E-vehicles are also effective in
making sustainability based development in the economy, which is a major requirement. Pollution
level of electric vehicles is very less as compared to conventional vehicles. Climate change is a
major concern for government of different countries which is causing degradation of environment.
The wildlife is also majorly impacted by usage of conventional vehicles which is also impacting on
whole ecology. Climate change is related to the global warming in which the temperature is rising.
This will cause instability in the environment making the earth unsafe for general public. It is also
one of the major role of government to promote sustainability with the help and support of ministry
of environment.

Examine your current lifestyle and write a reflective document on how you could comply with
the sustainability ideals
I prefer to choose various sustainability based tools in my personal life for maintaining
the environment. In my personal and social life, I will focus on adopting various sustainability
based measures in order to develop myself as a responsible citizen. I also advice to my family
members and colleagues to prefer electric vehicles over conventional vehicles in order to create
less pollution. I want to eliminate pollution in UK as soon as possible because it is creating a life
harm to many citizens. The pollution is also creating a major harm on environment as well,
which is leading to cause destruction in the ecology. I want to implement major practices related
to information and technology as IT is a major tool which can be helpful in promoting
sustainability (Meisel, and Merfeld, 2020). The IT based approaches will include usage of social

media and internet in order to create mass awareness related to sustainability. I will also use
major social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to circulate crucial
information related to usage of electric vehicles. It is necessary for me to make people aware
about electric cars in order to develop an effective and major approach. It is major responsibility
of me to develop crucial information including major facts of UK electric car industry. In my
opinion, government of UK should change lifestyle of all citizens in country by promoting
sustainable practices (Surendar, and Pradeepa, 2021). I will also recommend government to
promote sustainability through media advertisement and various measures.
In order to develop effectiveness in my e-approach, I will take assistance of my
professors and teachers. I am also suggesting to my colleagues that they should use electric
vehicles for the welfare of whole environment. The development of gross green index of whole
economy of United Kingdom, is major target of current government. The development and
follow up of major roles and responsibilities of government related to environment is key goal of
different companies (Safari, 2018). In my lifestyle also follow three major principles of
sustainability which are reuse, reduce and recycle. I am also ready to promote e-vehicles and
their usage through the help of social media and internet. I am also suggesting my family
members to buy an e car which will create no or less pollution (Tete, Gupta, and Joshi, 2021). I
will also focus on development of sustainable practices in my institution for facing different
challenges and issues. I will focus on doing less paper work as it will help me in saving millions
of trees. In the era of information and technology, I will prefer to use less paper work for the
welfare of whole environment and will also suggest the same to my colleagues and seniors. It is
one of my major role and responsibility to promote sustainability in my institution for creating a
focused approach at the marketplace (Wassan, Furneaux, and Salhi, 2019). Sustainability is the
future of United Kingdom as increasing level of pollution is harmful for ecology as well as for
the citizens. The old age people of UK are also suffering a lot due to rising air pollution which is
causing major diseases leading to lungs malfunctioning.

CONCLUSION
The above discussion concludes the importance of Electric vehicles in the conservation of
environment. It is major responsibility of government of United Kingdom to focus on key areas
of sustainability and provide citizens a clean and healthy environment. This project concludes
role played by strategies and planning frameworks developed by government in order to save
environment. This report concludes effectiveness of electric vehicles in reducing carbon
emissions and facilitating climate change. The project concludes that government is bringing up
various tools and techniques to solve and support various E-vehicle manufacturing companies.
This report also concludes that it is major role of government of a country to develop major
policies and plans which are effective in increasing green economy concept. This report also
concludes development of various external and internal factors in the economy which are useful
in increasing environment friendliness.
