INTRODUCTION
Sustainability is most important for the organization because it needs to develop the
capacity and improves the function of the business. Sustainable organization helps in identifying
the factors which affect the potential growth of the business organization. It is a business
approach for generating the long term value by adopting different business strategies and
activities. This can helps in promoting the organization at grand value. Organisation
sustainability is most important because it can reduce the business cost, improved reputation and
increases more new customers. Organisation adopted various different strategies to bring
changes and enhancing the productivity of the business environment (Cheng and et. al., 2018).
The main objective of suitability is to become self dependent and work on their own demands to
full fill without depending on future generation. This report includes the evaluation of the roles
and responsibilities of Christoph Gebald and Jan Wurzbacher, includes the tools of management
in strategic business. Lastly it also includes the economic challenges faced by the strategic leader
either in short and long term goals.

Assessment of the responsibilities and roles of Christoph Gebald and Jan Wurzbacher existence
strategic managers of sustainability. Demonstration of the tools and concepts of strategic
business management which are applied to the issues of sustainability
The main role and responsibilities of the strategic manager is to analyse the present and future
needs of the organisation. Christoph Gebald and Jan Wurzbacher established a business which
named “Climeworks” which is world's biggest first company that can developed the effective
plan which can help in identifying carbon dioxide from the air which is harmful for the
customers and decrease the growth of the organisation. It is necessary to developed and set the
main objective and goals of the company so that organization work according to the customers
needs and can full fill their needs and requirements by the satisfaction (Khan and et. al., 2020).
The main role and responsibility of manager is to maintain the performance and activities of the
business firm and run their organization according to the policies and rules. It is the main factor
to set the objective, mission and vision of the company which can helps in achieving the targeted
goals of the organisation. Analysing the market trend and customer need is all the main factor of

enhancing and promoting the market value of the business firm. Christoph Gebald and Jan
Wurzbacher have their roles and responsibilities to run their organisation at high level. They both
have some role and responsibilities to make the sustainable organisation which includes:-
Roles:-
 The main role of sustainable manager is to set the objectives and directions to move their
organisation at right directions which can helps employee to follow the policies of the
company and achieve more success. The main concern of the manager is to maintain the
health and safety of the employee to protect environment and people. All employee focus
on achieving the goals which can make the success and satisfied the customers by full fill
their needs and requirements. Manager guide every employee to focus on their goals and
increases the productivity (Verhelst, Vanhoof and Van Petegem, 2022). Organisation
manufacture the product which is not harmful for the customers as well as customers,
 Effective communication:- Manager maintain the effective communication between he
leader and employee which is beneficial for the company to run. Effective
communication helps employees to get aware in the decision and more focused on their
targeted goals to achieve more success. Sustainable manager are more focused on the
customers demand of future and present. The main role of the sustainable manager is to
observe the project firm and specific group to analyse the overall performance.
Responsibilities
 Sustainable manger are responsible for the making the right decision which can helps in
promoting the organization at success level and increases the product market value.
Mangers allow employee to participate in the decision making and set goals and objective
which can promote the potential growth of the organisation. The manger is responsible to
imposed policies and regulations which can helps in targeting the goals and objective.
Manger developed the mission and vision of the company that can give clear direction to
the employee to run in right direction. Sustainable manager is responsible to expert their
employee by providing them training which can increases the skills and knowledge of
the employee (Prinos, 2021). Manager focus on manufacturing the product Eco-friendly
and they promoted among the employee. Manager is responsible to make less damaging
product which does not harm the environment.

 Sustainable manager are responsible to analyse employee performance and give
appropriate for their positive performance. Manager has responsibility to motivate and
encourages their employee in positive manner so that they keep motivated towards
achieving the goals and objective. Maintaining positive culture and environment is the
most important thing which can affect the business culture. Making an effective
communication interaction with the employee is beneficial because it can easy to analyse
the employee issues and difficulties within the organisation working. Manager should
have to provide relevant solution to the employee which can satisfied customers and
reduce the issues and difficulties with the business organisation (Sim, 2019).
There are various tools and concept which is used by the strategic business manger which
includes:-
Benchmark:
It is the process of continuous analysing and comparing the firm performance and
outcomes with the other organisation. This process can helps in analysing the issues and
difficulties within organisation and provide different way to overcome the issues. Sustainability
benchmarks is the process of identifying the performance of the firm to promote them at success
level. It can generates the positive environment to make sustainable company which does not
harm the organisation. Christoph Gebald and Jan Wurzbacher applied benchmark too in their
sustainable business which can improves the capacity and potential growth of the business
environment. It is most important to keep continuous analysation of organisation and employee
performance which can helps in measuring the outcomes of the organisation. Every organisation
use the benchmark tool for comparing themselves from other company and they can also identify
the internal and external factors of the organisation that can enhance the business performance.
Comparing from the competitors improves the organisation outcomes because it can motivate the

can helps companies to run in right direction and guide companies to give positive outcomes that
is beneficial for the business environment. The managers Christoph Gebald and Jan Wurzbacher
adopted this tool to make their business sustainable. They are more focused on analysing the
performance and progress of the business environment which can make at effective value in the
market. Managers are responsible to implement the policies and rules which is necessary to make
successful and sustainable organisation.
Scenario Planning:
scenario planning is the way to assert control over the uncertainties by identifying the
assumptions for the future planning and analysation of the company performance. It can helps in
analysing the uncertainties occurs within the organisation that may affect the entity of it gives
negative impact. There are various uncertainties which includes economic trends, weather
changes, population and demographic changes (Patel and Desai, 2019). Being sustainable
manager, it is important to analyse the uncertainties and factors which give positive outcomes in
future. Christoph Gebald and Jan Wurzbacher are more focused on scenario planning which can
prepare the organization to reduce the uncertainties and have positive impact on the entity.
Scenario planning is more beneficial for making the sustainable business. Manager is responsible
to take effective decision which can reduce uncertainties and risk factors. For the business, it is
necessary to implement the planning different tools which can helps in enhancing the
productivity and profitability of the business firm and make the sustainable organisation. This

There are various challenges which are faced by the management and leaders while achieving the
goals and objectives. Managers and team leader is more responsible to encourages and motivate
the employee to achieve the targeted goals and objective of the business organisation (Somu, MR
and Ramamritham, 2021). Managers implement the business ethics and respect for every culture

employee which make the positive environment in the business. These factors can enhance the
trust between the employee and they are more focused on achieving the success. Leaders pay
attention on the government policies which can control the business unlimited activities and
reduce the uncertainties and risk from the firm. Maintaining code of ethic in the business
environment is essential factor to run organisation in a right direction and all employee get
attracted by positive atmosphere. Leaders and mangers developed the strategic plan which can
helps in set aim and objectives within the organisation. Employee achieve the short and long
term goals and increases their productivity (Khurana, Haleem and Mannan, 2019). Organisation
faces ethical dilemmas while taking decision among the different factor and prospect on profit
and loss in sustainable practices which can leads to support the diversification in an appropriate
manner.

the brand image among the customers and at market place in an effective manner. Brand image
and bard vale may increases when organisation focus on large scale marketing and manufacture

environment. Sustainable business is established for the long term and encourages employee to
aware towards the ecosystem. Sustainable manager focus on motivating the employee so that
they can focus on achieving the tagged goals and make more success. It is important to make

short and long term goals. The role and responsibilities of the manger is to imposed the code of
ethics, develop strategic decision and tool and concepts. Managers and leaders are more focused
on adopting the benchmark, objectives and scenario plan which make the sustainable
organisation and enhance the productivity of the business entity. There are various issues which
are faced by strategic manager which are economic and ethical dilemma due to the brand image
and changes generated with in the climatic condition.
