This article discusses the merits and demerits of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in the context of sustainable tourism development. It explores how stakeholders such as the government, local community, and tourists contribute to the growth of the industry. The article highlights the value for money, cost reduction, and risk-sharing as the merits of PPP, while low competition and risk-sharing are identified as the demerits. The case of Qatar's tourism industry is used as an example throughout the article.
