rendering various legislative permissions. Government of Qatar prepares Tour Promotion Brand
Act for the promotion of tourism in country and attract foreign tourist. It helps to heavy revenue
from tourism industry which is further spent on development for betterment of people.
Local Community- Tourism of Qatar has availed benefits to local community by creating
employment opportunities to workers and local residents. This provides monetary advantage to
local people and helps to improve standard of life with advancement of technologies.
Tourist- They are considered as major stakeholders in tourism industry. Tourist visits for
academic purposes, for enjoyment with their family and friends. These customers get benefited
from good policies services of tourism industry such as easy visa processing system, which leads
to revenue generation in Qatar. This leads to overall development of country.

technologies to complete task within set time. On the other side public sector helps in providing

Effective use of resources- It is essential merit of PPP by developing sustainability in its tourism it
helps in development nation by creating employment opportunities of people in Qatar. They also
protect natural and cultural heritage which helps in development of Qatar. project with high and
value added quality for the same money amount.
Cost reduction- As private companies help in providing funds to tourism industry and helps to
allocate them efficiently and optimally. There are various activities which requires assistance of
government and activities needed to be undertaken at low cost.
Risk sharing- Risk is shared among the public and private sectors to reduce loss to one sector. It
helps to provide better services to tourist as risk of providing enhanced and new services is shared
between the two and reduces the burden of loss to one sector and helps in development of tourism
industry in Qatar.
Demerits of public private partnership
Political exposure- New regulations of the government can impose certain rules and regulations
which affect the partnership of PPP. Government perceives that industry is paying for infrastructure
more compared to other activities.
Low competition- Large level of competition among market can be done in Qatar tourism industry.
But in regards of management decisions of evolving rivals it is necessary to provide immediate
solutions for the tourism industry to develop and perform in adequate manner. Otherwise, it reduces
the spirit of competition.
