INTRODUCTION
Tourism is the most developing industry nowadays in United Kingdom. There are many
innovations are done in the tourism industries. The sustainable tourism is defined as making the
optimum utilisation of environmental resources for tourism development. This includes the
maintenance of necessary ecological procedures and conservation of natural heritage and
biodiversity. In this report we discuss the planning in the Philippines tourism industry and how
the stakeholders benefited with these planning. The report also includes the planning at different
levels of Philippines and evaluation of that planning systems. Different methods of planning used
in Philippines is also discussed. The needs of planning in Philippines and current issues related to
tourism development planning is explained in the report. This report consist of impact of socio
cultural, environmental and economical impacts on developing countries and other destinations.
TASK 1
P1.1 Benefits of stakeholder from tourism development planning in Philippines
The travel and tourism is the industry in which different stake holders are interested with
their different motives. The Philippines tourism planning involved the all these stakeholders and
make coordination in the planning. Stakeholders involved in tourism business are government,
local communities, tourism industry, tourists, international agencies and educational institutions.
The stakeholders benefited a lot from these planning in Philippines tourism industry. The
benefits are received by the host countries. Tourism is one of the rapidly growing sector so host
country is more interested in the development of the Philippines tourism industries for the
growth of country as well. The government of Philippines is now very much aware about the
sustainable tourism. The meaning of sustainable tourism is that someone who visited Philippines
as a tourists and show positive attitude towards environment, on the peoples of Philippines and
the economy (Becker, 2016). Philippines organises many events nationally or internationally to
promote the sustainable tourism for example Philippines organises sports events which can
attract large number of tourists. And the Philippines can also organise the rock or singing shows
which can also attract the tourists who are interested in music.
This type of activities takes place in Philippines can benefits the stakeholders like
government of Philippines, when more tourists are attracted to Philippines increases the revenues

of tourism agencies and industries. The rate of tourists visit in Philippines also increases which
make it favourite destination of tourists.
P1.2 Advantages and disadvantages of public and private sector planning partnerships tourism
planning in Philippines
The public and private partnerships are the develops by the government of Philippines
who is the part of stakeholders. The government involved in the partnership is the public sector
and the tourism industries, local communities and tourists are the private sector. This partnership
is done so that the destinations in Philippines can gain the competitive advantages due to the
skills and knowledge from various stakeholders.
The advantages of public and private partnership are included the delegation of powers
which means that there is no centralisation of powers in all the members of partnership are equal.
It involved all the stakeholder weather private or public who solves the problems together. This
increase the team spirit among the members of partnership (Navickas, 2015). The coordination
among them also increases because of this cooperation. The efficiency in work of all the
members increases as because more members involved in the partnership brings more skills and
knowledge in the workings. This partnership of public and private sectors help in increasing the
number of tourists and help in the development and improvement of the nation. For example the
spots events organised by Philippines government with their private players. It is make sure that
the Philippines destinations change in the time period. The roads and bridges of Philippines must
be improved or renovated. New tracks of railway is also formed for the convenience of tourists.
By making these developments and renovation the place Philippines is become the international
destination for tourists. This increase in the number of tourists will benefit the public and private
partnerships. The planning is for this partnership is very beneficial for the stakeholders. The
partnership planning can reduce the cost because it is shared by many partners (Pappas, 2016).
The risk of business is also reduces because it is also shared by many partners weather public or
private. The improvement in the sector also increases the because the plans are made with lots of
skills and knowledge.
The disadvantages of the partnership of public and private sectors is that they already has
such assumptions about each other which affect their relations (Prebežac, 2016). The all the
members have different goals and interests which can creates the conflicts. In some situations

when the policies and roles are not clear it confusions in the partnership. For example if the
Philippines government lost control on their holding when the amount invested by private sectors
are more. Then the private sectors take all the decisions without taking consent of government.
This also creates the clashes in responsibilities. All the private and public are collaborating then
there is no competitive spirit in the economy reduces the efficiencies.
TASK 2
P2.1 Features of tourism development planning at different levels
Tourism development planning is very helpful in bringing together all the stakeholders
and generate the team spirit. The planning of tourism development can be done on different level
so it helps in the development of their sectors at different levels.
Economic level : It has the direct and indirect impact on economic planning of
Philippines. The direct impact in opening the hotels and the restaurants in Philippines for
the stay of the tourists and the indirect impact is the payment is made to the employees of
that hotels or the employees of tourism industry of Philippines. The planning is to be
done for these factors so the can provides the best stay to tourists as per their budgets.
They should provide the salaries to their employees on the basis of their work.
Environmental level : this feature of planning involved the impact of tourism on the
environment of Philippines. It has both negative and positive impact on the environment
of Philippines (Scott, 2016). The positive impact of tourism on the environment of
Philippines is that the industries will take care of the parks, roads, building and the
monuments of Philippines. The negative impacts on the environment of Philippines is
that the tourists do camp fire in the forests can affect their forests, the water sports and
divings can damage the corals. The Philippines tourism industries have to make plans and
policies for the safety of their countries monuments. They can make laws against those
tourists who destroy the environment of Philippines.
Social level : The tourism will affect the culture, lifestyle, dress etc. of the people of
Philippines. The social impacts also to be planned so the measures can be taken for these
changes.

P2.2 The significance of interactive planning systems and processes in tourism development
Tourism planning is very important for the government of Philippines. So they can make
plans and policies for different levels. The government of Philippines needs to care about the
factors like social and environmental (Standing, 2014). The main role is played by the
government in the planning. For example in organising the sports events the government of
Philippines has to plan the activities related to development in such a manner that all the work
can be on time.
This planning is very helpful in development of Philippines a lot. The planning is done to
create the future by making changes in the present. The interactive plans are made by the
Philippines tourism industries for the development of tourism. In above example we discussed
that the sport's event is organised all work to impress the tourists is done properly on time so the
Philippines is become the best tourist's destination (Yoo, 2016). The interactive planning is the
best way to make plans for Philippines tourism industries. The negative impacts of tourism can
be avoided with the help of interactive planning. The negative impact can affect the Philippines
environment and the culture of Philippines which can be removed with the help of interactive
planning.
P2.3 Evaluate different methods available to measure tourist impact
The impact of tourists in the Philippines can be evaluated with help of three methods
which explained as follows :
Environment impact assessment : this method help in estimating the development in the
environment. This method help in evaluating the environmental auditing process, limited
natural resources, problem in environment and the chaos which is arises due to these
problems (Baena, V., 2016). This help the Philippines tourism industries to evaluate all
the environmental problems and also make them prepared to reduce the harmful effects
of these problems.
Cambridge economic impact model : this model helps in identifying the economic effect
of tourism on the Philippines. This method help in measuring the values and number of
tourists in Philippines in the first stage and tin the second stage it helps in measuring the
economic impact of tourists on the local economies of Philippines.
Document Page
Carrying capacity : it is the evaluation of number of persons which have no negative
impact on the environment of Philippines and the who provides the quality services.
There are some important points which are had to be considered while estimating the
carrying capacity. The points which are to considered while calculating the carrying
capacities are the average of the time of stay, features of the tourists and the Philippines,
types of tourism activities etc.
These are the methods that calculate the impact of tourists on the Philippines.
TASK 3
P3.1 sustainability in tourism development
Shown in posters
P3.2 Analyse factors that may prevent/hinder sustainable tourism development
Shown in posters
P3.3 Analyse different stages in planning for sustainability
For the efficient tourism plan for sustainability the following steps must be followed:
We have to make a list of people who are to be included in planning and also the time
period is included (Qin, 2017). The stakeholder has to be selected for the efficient
planning which include the local communities, tourism industries and agencies etc.
The planning includes the decision of objectives and goals. The goals and objectives
includes the to decide the features for the attraction of the Philippines destination. The
objectives can be included the followings:
Good quality tourism at lower packages.
The benefits are distributed without any partiality.
Preservation of natural resources and conservation of historical monuments of
Philippines.
Maximisation of foreign exchanges of Philippines.
Provide the employment opportunities to Philippines.
This stage includes the survey of the existing data by collecting informations from the
Philippines industries. The details related to culture, heritage etc. has been collected.
Then also identify the speciality of Philippines and advertisement plans can be develop to

promote Philippines. The can use these details to make plans and the policies to attract
the tourists. The new data is also collected for making an effective plan for tourism.
Resources are to be managed properly to make an effective plan and these resources are
includes the assets like roads, airports etc., analysis of market, planning and the impact
analysis.
Plans and policies for Philippines tourism is maintained with help of above information.
Take feedbacks from the managers and the team of development of the Philippines
tourism.
Continuous evaluation of methods in Philippines tourism.
TASK 4
P4.1 Evaluate methods of resolving a conflict of interests to ensure the future well-being of a
developing tourism destination
The conflicts of interests can be arises in between the local resident of Philippines and the
hotel companies that is established in the Philippines for providing the tourism services to
tourists. The local people lives can be affected by the because of the tourists and also because of
their behaviour which is not liked by them. The hotels are very much grow because of the
tourists (Roult, 2016). The clashes can be arises because betterment of local people. Tourism
policy is the method that can solve theses problem. The plans are made that to use the local
things the tourists have to pay. This method is very popular to solve many problems and
conflicts. Interpersonal relations among stakeholder- Stakeholder may be have issues related to
condition like tourism profit, objective and decisions making. In other term of conflict
may be related to allocation of resource , politics, decision making, planning of
stakeholder. So it can reduce through interpersonal communication and transparency and
dive direction related to costumer accommodation at destinations. Tourism enclave- proper implementation of legation and police then they can use of
enclave process on tourism. The stakeholders can use this approach to introduce the
politics and make the development at centric to dependency on their services.

Host gust relationship- This hotel is use such kind of method for resolve conflict issue
as well as this industry take direction in traditionally value of presentation in food
services according to traditional method , culture, art the heritage.
Demonstration conflict- Conflict of interest are developed may be changes in
demonstration and behaviour in the industry. such type of interstate to give direction to
market and it is also mange all difficulty. this is can resolve through collaboration
working, establishment of communication etc.
P4.2 Analyse the implications of balancing supply and demand
In this we defined the difference between the supply and demand in Philippines. The
main attraction of Philippines is the water sports and the diving which attract many tourists. Now
there are fewer formalities to travel the to different places which increase the demand from the
tourists (Balandin, 2013). The local population is not able to supply any foreign exchange to
Philippines. To serve the tourists Philippines hired the highly qualified workers. The local
peoples not able to provide less contribution in their resources and also do not get many benefits
of foreign investment.
Supply and demand is mostly need to maintain balance in tourism sector. according to
law,If demand go down and supply stay in current positioned then price of services decrease so
this sector want to demand stay in own condition and supply may be down and up. In this case
price of services will go down in market. The unchanged supply with the increased demand also
then generated problems in the form of surplus issues in which prices starts to go down.
However, the decreased in supply with constant value of demand then the prices starts to grow
up. Thus, the balance in supply and demand should be implicated appropriately to ensure the
sustainable.
P4.3 Evaluate the moral and ethical issues of enclave tourism in the Philippines
Due to the cutting of trees natural greenery is being destroyed and thus less rainfall is
their in the country and which leads to less growth in the country and in this way it is considered
as a major issue in the country so forest should not be cutted and hence natural beauty should not
be destroyed .
Green issue ethics: any adventure is being constructed in the green field area then it is a
big issue for the country (Surugiu, 2013). Green plants and forests have been cut down. If
Document Page
the trees are cutted then all the forest are destroyed and which leads to low growth in the
country .
False advertisements: some false advertisements are being delivered to the customers so
that public can invest in wrong area it leads to less growth of the company .cutomers who
are well educated should not be a part of the advertisements and thus it leads to less
growth.
Unethical customer behaviour: poor relations are being given given to customers and
fraud things and policies are being explained to the clients and then growth decreases.
Unemployment ethics: employees are not given proper working condition and low
salary so it is a great ethical issue to the company and which leads to less growth in the
country .
Moral issues in enclave tourism It is develop issues for maintain repletion and
understanding between guest and host, develop some challenge conditions like minimize
negative impact for including new services and maximize do positive impact , this company is
taking growth but in limited sectored mean demand in limit, and many more .
Ethical issue in enclave tourism- This type of issues develop different type of behaviour in
individually and group because in ethics create system , rule .
TASK 5
P5.1 Compare current issues associated with tourism development in a developing country and
an emerging destination where the impacts of tourism are different. Your article should be
professionally presented such as using
Thailand is a developing country where the development of tourism is a great deal. The
Thailand tourism is started growing in the year 1987. Now the Thailand has the great
development in tourism sector. This growth is become the most profitable moment for the thai
tourism industries. The tourists are attracted towards the Thailand not only internationally but the
local tourists are also contributed in the growth of tourism (Verhey, 2016). Now the local
peoples are going out of countries to spent their destinations this reduce the revenues of Thai
tourism.

Another emerging destination is Philippines which is a destination with big fun. The
people of Philippines are very supportive their hospitality is famous in the world. The main
attraction of Philippines is their beaches and islands. It attracts the local people as well as the
international people. It has the biggest malls in the world. The flora and fauna and the nature is
also provided peace to people. The peoples of the Philippines are very much helpful and they
speak in English which remove the language barriers. The climate is awesome and the best
destination place. The revenues from foreign exchanges are very large.
P5.2 Evaluate with recommendations, the future development of tourism in these chosen
destinations
Economic growth of Thailand is very good but it affecting it opposite manner. To reduce
the amount going out of countries the government can levy high rate of tax from the tourists
going outside the country (Guide to sustainable development, 2017). In this situation only those
tourists go out of the country who can pay such high rate taxes. In these ways very less amount
of funds will go out of Thailand.
In Philippines the government needs to protect there flora and fauna and their beaches
from the peoples who create dirt around them. The monuments of the Philippines to be protected
for future. The social measures are to be taken for solve the conflicts of local and hotel people.
They should have to make safety measures for tourists.
CONCLUSION
This report is concluded that the planning for the Philippines tourisms development and
the different approaches of tourism planning. The posters and leaflet is used to sustainable
tourism development. The current issues of Philippines and the Thailand tourism is determined
with recommendations for future.
