INTRODUCTIONSustainable tourism helps local communities and natural environment to reducetheir costs and maximise benefits effectively. Tourism development departmentmaintains the sustainable tourism without harming natural beauty of Singapore. Thingsto do in Singapore include park with trails and a running track, fishing, crocodile andgarden in waterfront park and Singapore town garden. Itisobserved that the presidentof Singapore, Halimah Yacobis promoting the industry of tourism. Moreover, Singaporegovernment is planning to improve the tourism business by increasing income andchancesfor employees. International tourism consultant examines the impacts oftourism development and consider the concept of sustainability in tourism planning.TASK 11.1Stakeholders are considered as those individuals who are directly connected withthe firm. Todefend chromatic field ofSingapore, the governmentisplanningto improveand develop new management system effectively. The travel and tourism industry arebased upon cultural environment of the respective country and the government isfocusing upon people who are living in rural and coastal areas of the country. Apart fromthis, there are other tourism stakeholders from accommodation sector such asSingapore airlines, Singapore association of exhibition and conventional suppliers andorganizers, Singapore travel agencies, marketing association and hotel sales andmanagement association of Singapore.Tourism industry holds 7.05% of market share towards country GDP. Thetourism and travel planning will help people of the country to find more opportunities.Private organisations will also have opportunity to increase their market share with theincreasing market share of tourism industry. Tourism can deliver long and short termenvironmental, economic and social effects on Singapore destination effectively.Planning process needs careful considerations as there are many advantages ofinvolving stakeholders during decision making. The marketing strategy of governmentwill also help to attract the tourists so that the stakeholders get benefits fromdevelopment of tourism planningeffectively.1
