China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) is a government-owned oil and Gas
Corporation in China. This is situated in Beijing, China and considered one of the largest energy
generation and distribution companies in the world (CNPC, 2019). The SWOT analysis of CNPC
is done in the following lines:
Strength Weakness
 The operations of CNPC are based on
the systametic network of the company.
 The flow of information within CNPC
facilitates smooth operations in the
organization.
 The involvement of government help
company in getting good investments
for conducting their operations in most
effective and efficient manner.
 Drawbacks of operational faults such as
oil spills, gas leakage, etc can lead to
major calamities.
 Issue of operations related regularly
changing licenses like production and
distribution of products by the
company.
 Complex internal organizational
structure leads to chaos in operations
and the workplace. This needs proper
management.
