INTRODUCTIONManagers within healthcare home possess certain legal and moral obligation to ensure ahigh quality of patient care and support. Thus, health care managers possess a crucial role indelivering quality of care and patient safety so that their priorities could be attained (Parry and et.al., 2016). Present report is about Small Steps Centre that is focusing upon young adults withlearning disabilities and focus upon helping service users develop their social skills. RecentlySam a new care manager has been appointed and thus he is focused towards implementing somechanges so that quality of care home could be enhanced. 1. Roles and responsibilities of new health care manager in maintaining qualityPrimary responsibility of health care managers is to foster care and support to serviceusers through providing them quality care. It is essential for managers to determine budget, orderand receive supplies that administer payroll and benefits so that success could be attained.Managers are also required to identify the needs and wants of patients in regard to provide themappropriate facilities regarding maintaining quality in Small Steps Centre which would result indeveloping social skills of service users (Kral and et. al., 2014). Following are the different rolesand responsibilities of health care manager in maintaining quality in Small Steps Centre arediscussed underneath-Health care managers are required to understand the health care laws, technology andstandards that helps in representing care home at external meetings and set qualitystandards (David and et. al., 2014).Managers also possess the responsibility in relation to improve the efficiency and qualityin regard to improve delivery of direct healthcare services.Also, it is significant for managers to comply to rules and regulations in regard tohealthcare facilities so that appropriate quality care could be delivered within Small StepsCentre (Neumann and et. al., 2016).Managers are also responsible towards providing quality services to care users and thussatisfy their needs in regard to attain desired results. Further, developing communicationwith members helps in identifying the needs of medical staff and department heads sothat quality care could be delivered to young adults with learning disabilities (Mellentinand Heasman, 2014). 1
