Hospital Background / Situation __
The King Abdullah Medical City based at Makkah is a premiere healthcare organization with a
bed capacity of 1550 (Esmo.org 2019). The specialized hospital is located at Makkah in Saudi
Arabia. The medical city constitutes of three campuses. The specialized hospital campus hosts
a bed strength of 550 beds and contains multiple special units such as Cardiovascular unit,
Neurosciences, Oncology and Specialized surgery centers. The other center is the oncology
center located at Jeddah and the third campus would be established between Jeddah and
Makkah with a hospital bed capacity of 1000 beds. The third center would an educational as
well research center as well (Esmo.org 2019).
