Importance of SWOT Analysis and SMART Framework for Personal Development

INTRODUCTION
Reflection learning is one of the most important thing
for a learner, this allow learner to learn from their
experience and use personal reflection to highlight key
skills and ability they have learned. Skills play an
important role in an individual life which can accelerate
the growth of the individual. In this report, we will learn
about the importance and usage of swot analysis and
smart framework which will help a person to grow and
develop themselves.
Academic Performance
STRENGTH
My strength lies in skills which I have and
ability that allow me to manage myself and
my career, I effective conversation skills
which allow me to speak clearly. Apart from
this I have research skills which help me to
perform research effectively and allow me
to complete my assessment with good
research of topic selected.
WEAKNESS
I have certain weakness which impact
my career life, I am weak in presentation
skills as I can not effectively present
myself in front of others. Apart from this,
I am weak in reading skills where I lack
behind in reading English.
OPPPORTUNITY
opportunity is one of the most important thing
for every learner, I have opportunity to explore
career and business area with my skills.
Whereas if I try to improve my weak skills
then I can catch those opportunities that will
boost my learning and ability.
GIBBS Reflection
Collaboration skills: collaboration skills is one of the most
important skills an learner must learn, this simply mean
learner will collaborate with another learner and will
complete task together, this is team building skills which
commonly known as collaboration skills.
Note taking skills: not e taking skills are basic but crucial
skills, this simply means learner should know how to take
notes in presentation or at meeting. Here, active listening
skills of learner play vital role.
Self motivation skills: self motivation skills are rare, this
means learner will self motivate themselves and become
stable in tough situation. Self motivation is very important
as this allows learner to explore different area of
development.

Online study program: online study program is key
resource I need to learn new skills, this will help me to
develop clear understanding about skills which I will be
learning, and they will provide solution to improve my
weak skills. I will be purchasing study material from
online course and will learn new skills.
Laptop and internet access: laptop and internet access is
key resource I will be looking for as this will allow me to
explore online world and to develop other skills as well.
Laptop and internet access is basic resource.
Conclusion
This report has discussed reflection and it importance in
learning. Later this report has provided personal SWOT
analysis. Later this report has discussed personal
development plan. At last this report has discussed resource

THREAT
I am facing and I will be facing the biggest threat
from my classmate who are better than me and
have ability to become more effective, threat lies
in competition I will be facing in career and
professional life.
SMART OBJECTIVES
Specific : Specifically I want to learn Power point and
presentation skills that will allow me to use Power point and be
more effective in my academic session.
Measurable: as I am weak in power point presentation I will
measure my previous presentation and try to measure it with
new skills which I have developed.
Achievable: learning presentation skills and learning how to
craft Power point I can achieve new skills such as ICT and IT
skills.
Relevant: all skills which I have learn is relevant, for example
learning power point skills and presentation skills is relevant to
my academic progress.
Time bound: within 6 months I will achieve this goal because
this will allow me to take time and carefully design new style of
presentation .
