Executive Summary
HASELL and NSW the duo have planned to implement light rail architecture to simplify the
transport facility of Sydney. The architecture for the light rail has been configured to
incorporate Central Business District (CBD) as well as South East Rail Project (CSELR). The
surrounding landscape has also been planned to furnish along with that as well. The light rail
project and associated facilities have been well defined in the report. The conceptual designs
of Randwick Route, Anzac Parade, UNSW Kensington Campus, Strachan Street Stop have
been showcased in the report. Sydney is getting beautiful every day and it is hoped that it will

3SYDNEY LIGHT RAIL PROJECT
1. Introduction
The Sydney citizens are likely to get a new light rail experience provided by HASELL
and NSW for Transport. The organisations are likely to arrange the light rail transport that is
going to facilitate the Sydney local dwellers [1]. The architecture for the light rail has been
configured to incorporate Central Business District (CBD) as well as South East Rail Project
(CSELR). The proposed light rail is going to extend about 12 kilometres ranging from
Circular Quay to Central and it is going to connect Kingsford as well as Randwick. The
approach from the organisation will be fruitful and will likely to change the future of light rail
in coming future.
The report will focus on the strategies that light rail has taken to reduce the traffic.
The report will also showcase how the surrounding landscape of the light rail is going to
furnish along with the light rail with the aid of HASSELL’s initiative.
2. Analysis of CSELR and CBD on basis of definition and conceptual
design
2.1. Definition of CSELR and CBD
HASSELL along with NSW have proposed a plan to regain the lost glory of the light
rail of Sydney. The public domain design is going to rejuvenate by the HASSELL's approach.
The organisation has proposed to construct the light rail track that will range from
Kingsford, Randwick and will extend up to 12 kilometres from Circular Quay and Central
Station. The South East Rail Project has been proposed to detect any traffic jam on the way
and this light rail is going to enhance Sydney's transport facility [2]. The new light rail
arrangement is going to convert the George Street into magnificent pedestrian surroundings
and along with that wireless connectivity is available in this region. The organisation has
