Introduction
The following report is all about Jack Grieg and Daniel Cox who have come up with a
plan of build a new Auto-parts warehouse management system. The present warehouse
management system of the organization is unable to handle the dynamic procedure for moving
and storing the inventory at efficiency (Rao & Selvamani, 2015). The CEO has come up with the
idea of developing functionality which can be easily applied to the main process in the
warehouse. The mere focus is all about transforming warehouse in competitive advantage. A
warehouse management system can be defined as a software application which is very much
helpful in controlling and managing day-to-day application. The software guides the receiving
inventory, scheduling pick up and shipment of placed orders (Aljawarneh & Yassein, 2016).
Warehouse management system can be either standalone application or even a part of enterprise
resource planning.
In the coming pages of report, an overview has been provided with respect to cloud based
solution by analysing strength and weakness. In the agile methodology section, a proper
comparison and contrast has been done between unified process and scrum.

Cloud Based Solution
Cloud based solution is considered to be developing technology for this auto-parts
manufacturing organization. In the coming years, it is expected that the will continue to develop.
Cloud computing has brought huge number of benefits for many organization (Sajid, Abbas &
Saleem, 2016). Cloud computing comes up with huge number of benefits like
3SYSTEM ANALYSIS AND DESIGN
Cost efficient: Cloud based technology is considered to be most efficient technology
which is needed for using, maintenance and development. Some of the system software cost
much more to firms considering the finance (Zhou et al., 2017). By using a license fee for the
organization for the different user, it can prove to very much expensive in nature. Cloud
computing platform is available at much cheaper rate. So as a result it can easily lower the
overall IT expenses of the organization.
Ultimate Storage: Storage details on cloud platform aims to provide unlimited storage for
most of the firms. This particular organization does not need to think for running out for storage
space or does not even need to enhance the present space availability.
Option of recovery and back up: All the data of the organization will be stored on the
cloud platform so there is need for back up and its restoration. It becomes much easier for storing
the thing on same device (Gaetani et al., 2017). Most of the cloud service providers are very
much efficient for handling the option of information recovery.
Integration of Software: On the cloud platform, software integration can occur on
automatic basis. It merely highlight that the organization does not require extra effort for
customization and integration of application as per the preference. Cloud computing does not
only help in customization of opinions but also help in handpick of the given services.
Faster Deployment: Cloud computing aims to provide the benefit of easy deployment.
As soon as the organization goes for adopting this method, then the whole system can become
functional in minimum time.

Some of the weakness of cloud computing is like
Technical issues: The point can be concluded that both information and data on cloud
platform can be accessed at any time and location. But in many cases, it can be found that the
system can have some serious issues. User need to be completely aware of the technology that
some technical issues (Ali, & Hingst, 2018). Even the cloud service providers can run into the
similar kind of trouble which is achieved by analysing proper standard for maintenance.
Security on cloud platform: One of the biggest challenging issue on cloud platform is the
issues related to overall security. Prior to adaptation of cloud based solution, the organization
need to take into account the sensitive information to most of the third party service providers.
This particular step can bring huge amount of risk to organization (LeCavalier, 2016). This auto-

parts manufacturing organization need to make a choice for most reliable service provider so that
all the stored information is completely secured.
Easily Prone to attacks: When the information of organization is stored on cloud
platform then it make the organization very much vulnerable to different attacks and threats. The
user need to be completely aware of the fact that nothing is secure on the cloud platform (Bloom
& Hinrichs, 2017). There is always chances of stealing some of the sensitive information.
Agile methodologies
Unified Process is defined as an architecture, use case driven and iterative development
process that focus on UML. It can be applied to most of software system that comes up various
level of technical and managerial complexity in most of the domains and culture. Unified process
is defined as overall refinement of unified process. It can be applied for customization of the
different products and products and services (Kniberg, 2015). The development process is
completely divided into four stages that is inception, elaboration, conception and transition.
Scrum is known to be an agile methodology which focus on software development with
the notion of providing new software in the interval of 2 to three weeks. It merely focus on some
core values which is needed for guiding decision and developing high-quality software at much
faster rate. Scrum is being used by most of the software development teams which is found to be
one of the popular methodology (Maximini, Maximini, & Rauscher. 2018). In the last few years,
the scrum has spread to most of the business function in information technology and marketing
where projects will forward with complexity.
Scrum is being used for addressing most of the complexity in work by using transparent
information. It is mainly done so that people can easily adapt to the present condition instead of
predicting the condition. It merely allows the team members to easily address some of the

common issues in waterfall process of development. It merely results in changes in overall
changes in requirement, understanding cost and time (Kuhrmann et al., 2017). There is need for
understanding the quality of software and reporting of overall progress. Transparency is
considered to be as one of common term which is needed for software development for ensuring
the delivery. There is future inspection that progress and detects go as per the adjustment. Some
of the well-known scrum adaptation is sprint planning and scrum review. Scrum is a framework
by which people can address most of the complex and adaptive issues. The mere focus is on
being productive and providing products for highest value. Scrum is a simple framework that is
needed for proper team collaboration for developing some complex products.
Scrum methodology is considered to be a part of agile software development framework
which will help this auto-parts manufacturing organization is implementing warehouse
management system. The methodology aims to provide a proper development strategy for
developing system and its maintenance (Abrahamsson et al., 2017). In this project, scrum
methodology can be used which provides huge number of benefits for organization, product and
their services. This particular software strategy helps in understanding various function like
Enhancing the quality of products: By making use of scrum, there can be proper method
for generating methodology for system development in most convenient way. Software team
aims to receive input in real time and feedback from different customer who are using it(Rao &
Selvamani, 2015). All the required things are being updated on the system as per the
requirement. The following steps help in improving the overall quality of products.
Project delivery at faster rate: In comparison to traditional methodologies, scrum comes
up with the ability to deliver the whole project of software development at faster rate (Sajid,

High return on invested amount: It is found to be continuation of the earlier advantage
scrum methodology that focus on delivering certain projects in minimum time. Some of the
encountered defects are heavy cost that can be remunerated in easy way (Aljawarneh & Yassein,

regarding the choice of particular methodology. The owner of the organization has provided
some basic idea with respect to operation of system. They proposed system will carry out a list of
