Introduction
This report consists of a case study that includes more than 300 stores spread over
Australia and New Zealand. As the cake franchisor is spreading its branches, the present system
of the cake franchisor is not able to handle the dynamic procedures. The company needs to
extend its efficiency so that it can perform well at lower cost. There are many sub-systems in the
new proposed system but the sub-system that is elaborated in this report is Franchise Information
sub-system. This includes information such as recipes of the cake, cooking as well as decorating
procedures, the operations that are carried out, administration and employees, the health and
safety of the food, maintenance and resale and other forms are included in the Franchise
Information sub system.
1. Functional and Non-Functional Requirements
Functional Requirements of Franchise Information:
1. The Franchise Information will be able to take the details of all the branches of the
shops that are spread over Australia and over New Zealand.
2. The system will be able to store the recipes of the cakes and other items that are sold in
all the outlets of the cake franchise.
3. Franchise Information includes the input for decorating process for the decorations of
the cakes.
4. The details of the operations that are carried out in the system are also included in the
system.

The NFR for the Franchise Information includes
1. System usability that sets the level of user expertise that is assumed. The system
includes standards of user interface that are used to build the system. Proper documentation of
the system is also provided for the new system that is carried out.
2. The sub-system proposed for the cake franchise is reliable because of its safety and
security that is included in the system. There is system robustness, availability of the system 24
hours, as well as the system will be reliable for use. The sub-system will can have exception
handling if any error is included in the system. There is error tolerance system and data loss
tolerance system in the new sub-system.
5. The system includes the details of the employees who works in all the outlets of the
cake franchise.
6. The system also includes health and safety that are also included in the system by the
admin who handles the system.
