CONTEXT LEVEL DIAGRAM
Context level diagram is referred to the diagram that is used for
establishing the relationship between the entities and system. This is
developed mainly with the aim of clarifying the boundaries that is
associated with a software system. Before developing a context level
diagram it is important to identify the external entities and data flows
within the system. In order to develop a context diagram it is important to
identify the data flows within the system by listing the essential

documents and information associated with the system. Secondly it
becomes important to identify the external entities related to the system
of the organization. After this there is a need to draw and label all the
process box associated with the system.
The context diagram is developed for the ICF system. With the help
of this diagram it becomes easy to determine the flow of data from the
system. The major external entities that are associated with the system of
ICF are customers, OAGDS, branch and management. The activities that
are performed by the customer’s entities are as follows:
Customers are allowed to donate money towards the ICF system.
Customer needs to enrol themselves within the ICF system for
gaining details regarding the organization and programs.
The ICF in response towards the data and donation made by the
customer generates a tax deduction receipts.
The ICF system further focuses on allocating the funds towards the
customers.
The activities that are performed between the ICF system and the
external entity branch is listed below:
Branch is focused on allocating funds towards the system
Branch entity is also responsible for sharing the income and
expense statement towards the ICF system.
In response towards the activities the system calculates the
compensation and shares it with the branch.
