1. Problem
The warehouse business owned by Jack Greig and Daniel Cox have been in their
operations for several years. They have also been in operations in one of the major city of
Australia. The warehouse system owned, performs major business operations such as procuring
auto parts, handling dynamic requests from customers and supplying them with their appropriate
quantities. However, in the recent times, it has been seen that current warehouse management
system is not be able to handle the excessive amount of requests that are faced by them.
The certain problems that are faced by the auto-parts business is that with the growing
form of business and their reach to the global market, they are facing severe problems in relation
with the different kind of dynamic procedures (Accorsi, Manzini & Maranesi, 2014). The current
warehouse management system that is used by the business is incapable of handling the dynamic
loads that are faced by the business. Each of the systems and processes that are performed within
the warehouse require a high amount of processing power and capabilities in order to bring in
efficiency within the business systems.
In order to mitigate such form of business problems, the business owners need to
implement a proper form of warehouse management system that would help them in processing
the requests received from customers (Richards, 2017). During peak times, the system is not able
to store the excess loads. Hence, this discussion would be mainly focused towards proposing an
approach that would be adopted and implemented towards the core processes in the warehouse
management system.
