INTRODUCTION TO SYSTEM DESIGN
Introduction
The case study involved in this report is the case of Scene Brokers. The Scene Brokers is
situated is Australia and it is a company that deals with venue selection for organizing events.
This company deals with online reservation of the venues that are the customer wants to
select. The Scene Brokers wants to extend their business by making their business an online so
that the customers make their bookings online. They want an online information system for
their business that can manage all the operations that are involved in the organization. The
organization wants a report of business management which helps to identify system design that
controls all the operations of the company.
This report elaborates a use case for the business operations involved in Scene Brokers.
The use case describes the data that are analyzed in the company and the requirements for
running the business process in the company. There is a brief use case description provided in
the report that defines all the actors involved in the system. The details showing the usage of
mobile applications for a company are described in this report in comparison with website
application. There is also a Work Breakdown Structure related to the system Scene Brokers.

Use Case Name Scene Brokers Information System
Scenario Scene Brokers deals with venue selection for the customers for
organizing events. The company wants to develop a mobile application
and website application for the processes that are carried out in the
company. The customers can sign up with the system and search for
venues they prefers by providing the number of guests attending the
event. The customer needs to pay $100 for sign up. Admin of the system
has the access to change the details of venue and also can manage the
agents involved in the system. The database administrator involved in
system stores the information securely in the system.
Triggering Event Triggering effects involved in the use case stated above is that customers
involved in the system can view different venues for their venue booking
with a maximum accommodation of 500 guests. All the actors needs to
sign up in the system of Scene Brokers to access the data or input data in
the system.
Brief Description Use case that is drawn above has all the details of the processes which
are to be carried out in the information system of Scene Brokers. All the
processes involved in the system are shown in the use case with four
actors involved in the system. Far carrying out the application or the
website app, all actors are to be involved in the system.
Actors Actors involved in the system are the customers, database administrator,
customer, and the system admin. The actors involved in the system have
to sign up in the system after they pay a small amount of money to the
company. All the bookings are controlled by the database administrator
and the admin. The admin login is also administered by the database
administrator. The agents involved in the system manages booking
system and also shows the booking that are left not booked.
Related Use Case The use case shown above is related with other use cases for booking
system. The use case is similar like other booking system which are
available online.
Stakeholders The involved stakeholders with this use case are the customer, the
administrator, the agents and the data base administrator. The admin
manages all the system involved in the business process along with the
customer and the agents involved.
Pre-conditions The user interface and the system interface should be interactive
where all the details of the customer can be stored.
