INTRODUCTION
Management and operations plays an important role to perform various types of
operations of organization in effective way (Voß and et.al., 2012). There are different types of
functions which are control and monitor by administrator and leaders of organization. There
are different types of operations which are performed by company. This leads to accomplish
goals and objectives of organization in effective manner. Manager and leaders are backbone of
company which plays a significant role in order to guide various employee working in the
organization. Aldi is company which deals with the chain of super market which provide
different types of retail goods and products to various customer present in marketplace. This
company has more then 2500 stores which provide various retail products which helps the
customer to avail facilities of retail products. It has long supermarket chain which aids to
implement different types of products. In this report it is explains about the comparison between
role of manager and leaders, different leadership approaches and theories like behavioral
theories, system leadership style and it is also discussed about the contiguous theories and
leadership theories which aid to perform different functions of organization ( Prevot and et.al.,
2016).
TASK 1
P1 Comparison of different role and characteristics of a leaders and manager
Manager and leaders plays an important role to perform various types of operations of
organization in proper style. In order to perform various function manager and leaders control
and escort their employee in order to perform different types of activities of organization in
effective way. This leads to maintain effective coordination within company. The manager
deliver different types of information from the upper level of management and leaders plays a
significant role to incite various employee in order to perform different types of organization in
impelling manner. The definition of leaders and manager are define below:
Manager: In order to manage various kinds of operations of the company manager
plays a important role to perform contrary types of operations of enterprises in effectual way.
(Kato and et.al, 2012). Manager of Aldi execute various activities such as regulating various
employee working in organization as per their efficiency. Manager also focus on to control

different types of unwanted activities which reduce the performance of company. Manager also
put their effort to motivate their employee to execute different types of action of company.
Manager of Aldi display the performance of different employee working in the organization and
it implement effective reward system in order to boost moral of employee. This helps to
maximize the level of profit of company (Myers, 2013).
Leaders: The major role of leaders is to give proper guidance to the different employee working
in the company. They guide their employee in order to execute assorted types of work in proper
way. This aids to maintain potency in performing various functions of company. Leader
implement different approaches which helps to guide their worker as per the vision and mission
of organization. They deliver various messages which is deliver from manager of Aldi. This
helps to make proper coordination to employee to carry through contrary types of functions of
organization. This helps to attain effective result in effective manner. The comparison of various
roles and characteristics which are concerned with the manager and leaders which are mentioned
below:
Managers Leaders
This is the individual who are play a
significant role to set aims and objectives of
Aldi. This aids to maximise the level of profit
of company.
These are the person who are responsible to
guide their worker as per instruction given by
the manager of Aldi. This aid to keep effectual
in acting contrasting types of activities of
organisation in proper manner.
Manager of Aldi implement different types of
plan and policies which aid to perform
different types of functions of company in
effective manner. This aids to accomplish
diverse activities of organization in effective
manner.
There are assorted types of issues and
problems arises during performing different
types of activities. Leaders plays a significant
role to consider those issues and problem
implement effective strategies in order to

to solve the problems.

Planning: The most essential purpose of manager of Adli is to formulate various idea
and policies which aids to perform different types of operations of organization in effective
manner. This helps to increase the productivity of company. Implementing different types of
strategies aids to maintain effectiveness in acting various type of activities of company (Zhou
and Yu, 2011).
Directing: The manager of Aldi needs to give decent direction to employee in order to
accomplish different types of task in stipulated time period. They also monitor the performance
of various employee working in the organization.
Staffing: Manager of Aldi hire experienced applicant to execute various types of
functions of organization. It also fill the vacant post of organization in a systematic manner. The
leader escort their worker while conducting various types of functions of system in decorous
manner.
Coordinating: In order to perform contrary types of action of Aldi manager make proper
coordination with various department of organization. Whereas leaders guide employee working
in different department of organization (Cass and Mukherjee, 2011).
Controlling: Managers and leaders plays a significant role in order to control unwanted
activities of organization which aids to reduce the operational cost of production of cost. The role
of leaders plays an essential role in order to monitor result in decorous way.
There are three leadership role which helps to control the and manager various functions of
organization in effective manner.
