The statistics indicate that the global printing industry will exceed $980 billion this year. Sri Lankan printing primarily serves export markets such as Singapore, India, UAE, UK, Germany, Venezuela and the Maldives, it presents the industry with tremendous growth prospects in Sri Lanka. Corrugated box manufacturing industry playing a main role in Sri Lankan economy by producing almost 180,000 Mts of corrugated boxes per annum with total market size over Rs 25 billion per annum. This report, conduct a feasibility study to introduce the new corrugated packaging solution in 2020 for PrintLife (Pvt) Ltd. which has 15 years’ experience in paper board and paper- based packaging industry. In this report first analyze the micro environment to evaluate available business customers for corrugated packaging in Sri Lanka. Further describe channel intermediaries, market competition in corrugated packaging, technological and environment impact in the industry. Then mentioned current economic condition and influence of the political environment to the industry including new rules and regulations. Furthermore, conduct business market segmentation and implement differentiated strategy as targeting strategy for PrintLife. Clearly mentioned the reason behind the selection of target customers to serve product range. Finally explain the business buying process and evaluate major factors that influence the business buying decision of corrugated packaging.

6 INTRODUCTIONPrinting remains one of the key sectors in the world economy with an ever-increasing annual market share gain. The global paper packaging market is valued at $265.34 billion in 2018. By 2020 it is estimated to reach $383.94 billion. Growing consumer awareness for sustainable packaging environmental concerns are some of the factors favoring the market growth. Many countries are pushing for paper packaging products over plastic packaging which make huge threat to the environment. Industry offers wide range of packaging services such as universal type cartons, die cut cartons, laminated cartons, hanger pack cartons etc. Digitalization has provided many opportunities for the printing and corrugated manufacturing industry and offer more cost-effective solutions, fastest growing print process in digital arena and technologies such as 3D printing are also slowly yet steadily appearing in the open markets and will grow in the coming years. Corrugated box manufacturing industry playing a pivotal role in Sri Lankan economy by producing almost 180,000 Mts of corrugated boxes per annum with total market size over Rs 25 billion per annum. There are around 30 corrugated box manufactures in Sri Lanka. PrintLife (Pvt) Ltd. is printing and packaging industry which has 15 years’ experience in paper board and paper-based packaging. PrintLife (Pvt) Ltd. is going to introduce new corrugated packaging solution in 2020
