INTRODUCTION
Racism is the belief where people think that they are better than others on the basic of
status, profession, religion, skin colour and many others and due to which they treat bad with
others (Kleinberg and et. al., 2018). Hence, it is a illegal practice of country where people get
punished if they caught to perform such activities. On the other hand, hate crimes are those
incidents which is done to refuse racism activities. People do not accept any inequality type of
behaviour with them by their society and due to which they get demotivated. The following
report covers essay on hate crime, racism and inequalities in society and how to tackle such
issues. It also covers the right place where a individual should go and complain if they feel any
discrimination with themselves.
Aim and objective
This report aims to identify the ways of tackling racism, hostility and discrimination in UK.
Objectives of the report-
To identify rights to be safe from hate crimes in UK.
To identify the meaning and impact of racism, discrimination and other kind of hate
crimes faced by UK population.
To aware people about the treatment against the protection of hate crimes in UK.
To aware people about the place where they get justice for hate crimes.
Literature review
Your right to be safe from hate crime in the UK
From the perspective of Michelle Rogerson, 2019, Hate crime is also known as bias crime
or bias motivated crime which consist of performing all those illegal and unacceptable activities
within the society which can create bad impacts others. In other words, hate crimes are those acts
which is created by biasses against social groups. Examples of hate crimes are damage to
property, physical assault, bullying and many others. In context of UK, they recorded 105,090
hate crimes in the year 2020 which further interpretative that hate crimes have been increased by

8% as compared to 2019. most of the hate crimes are seen in race inequalities where it covers
72% of total hate crime in UK. On the other hand, records says that religious crimes reduced by
5% from last year. Most of the hate crimes related to religion is victim by Muslims. From last
few years this hate crime against Muslim religion is declines which will provide positive impact
on UK's Muslims.
In UK, according to their law of Public Order Act 1986, Racial and Religious Hatred Act, 2006
and Criminal Justice and immigration ACT, 2008, it is mentioned that any hate speech by any
individual which spread hatred within the society in context of different religion, colour, gender
and m,any others will forbidden. The individual have to pay fines or sent to jail for their
unlawful activities to spread hatred in UK (Devakumar, and et. al., 2020).
In against of any hate speech or hatred activities, people in UK can file a case against it in police
station so that legal authority will take action against it. A individual is free to speak against
these activities but not allowed to take physical actions against it. They are simply allow to file a
case against such activities.
Racism is unacceptable , but so are other types of discrimination and hate crime
According to Rifat Kamasak, 2019, Racism is unacceptable within the UK societies and
other countries. Racism are those unlawful activities like discriminating people against their skin
colour, religion and many other factors. People get demotivated when they get discriminated by
their society. People get mentally and physically weak by facing such issues because they get
pocked everywhere wherever they go like their offices, parts and others places (Calmon and et.
al., 2017). This will make them feel that they are good for nothing and some people with weak
mentality even think of finishing their lives. Hence, it is unacceptable by the people. In context
of UK, where there is diversity among their culture, religion, skin colour and many others. The
people of UK are well educated and trying to reduce their discriminated activities by various
kind of ways. UK schools taught their students about disadvantage of discrimination. In context
of UK, they get strikes and other ways to refuse for racism within the society. There are various
kind of discrimination which are explained below-
Age discrimination- here people get discriminated due to their older age which cause
many crimes within the UK like criminal deaths of senior citizen within the society, refuse to
provide benefits to older age employees within the workplace, forcing them to leave their jobs
and many others. According to Age Discrimination in Employment Act, 1967, any individual
