INTRODUCTION
Talent Management is an important process in an organisation that helps to manage the talent of the workforce
in the organisation. The better the human resource of the organisation is managed better is the productivity in the
organisation. For an organization to be successful it is vital to manage the talent of the employs working in the
company (Latukha, 2016). There is direct relationship between the motivation of employees and the success of
the organization. So the employees are given proper training and development so that they can walk accordingly
and in hands their talent. It is equally important to understand the skills of employees and allot them work
accordingly. The report is based on research that is done upon Sainsbury which is one of the largest supermarket
chains in United Kingdom. The company is operating since 1869 and had global present with around 1400 stores
that a present throughout the world. Sainsbury has more than 116000 employees that are managed and lead to
success of the company. There are many approaches that are used for managing the talent and organization to
achieve the goals and targets effectively in future. Data from both primary and secondary research is used. Also
there is Gantt chart and questionnaire that will elaborate the research further.

relation to Sainsbury.

To understand the meaning of talent management.
To determine different strategies that can be used by organisation to retain talented workforce.
To evaluate various challenges that comes in path of organisation while retaining talent in the organisation.

What are various strategies used in an organisation to retain talent?
What are the different challenges that an organisation face while retaining the talent?
Literature review
According to Latukha and Selivanovskikh, 2016 Talent management is a systematic process that is used by the
organization to retain more customers and also to recruit skilled employs that fill the vacancy. It is also necessary

for an organization to engage its employees so that they work in favour for the organization. The more the
employees will be engaged in the organization's the better will be the position of organizations in the market.
Organization's make different strategies and implement them to retain their talented employees for long period of
time. It is important to understand the needs and wants of the employs and in satisfying those help and the
company to retain the employees organization. To make the employs feel valued functional talent management
strategy is yse that increases the respect of employees and they feel personal touch while working. Group
recruiting strategies are used to fill the vacancies with right personnel as it helps the organization to be successful
and have talented and skilled workforce that are able to manage the organization successfully. Following these
strategies help the organisation to retain the talent in the organization.
According to Chen, Lee and Ahlstrom (2019) talent management is a significant process in an organisation that
can efficiently help a company lower its employee turnover rate and also increase the level of employee
satisfaction. It will ultimately help to improve the organization's productivity along with its profitability. There are a
variety of techniques that can be implemented by an organization's human resource management to ensure that the
talent is efficiently managed. In order to maintain them for a longer period of time, it is important that the workers
in the company are continually motivated. There are various methods along with motivation, such as delegating the
supervisors job to the subordinates. It will help to generate good relations between the employer and the employees,
which can also create an organizational success in the workplace. It is a a good way to ensure that talented
employee can be kept in a company for a long period of time. By Providing the employees with training and
development programmes it would also help them in personal growth that will contribute to organisational growth.
In an organization that they can stay with the organization for a longer period of time, when an individual finds
personal growth as well as professional growth. Giving the companys workers with decision-making authority will
make them feel respected in the organization and give them personal touch, which would also improve their social
life along with professional life balance. All these are various techniques that can be used by organization to retain
the customers and become successful in their operations as well.
Any company that operates globally needs to ensure that they maintain talent in the organization for a longer period
of time, as per Neri and Wilkins (2019). It is also seen that the introduction of various talent management
strategies in a company tends to improve the organisation's standard according to which they work. However when
these practices are followed, there are a numerous of challenges that are faced by leaders and managers of the
organization need to work on them. It is also seen that these activities can include different management costs,
efforts and time in an organization. The company recruits a large number of employees in the organisation
worldwide and in this report Sainsbury is taken into consideration. It can also be seen how the employees belong to
different cultures and work in the company. It is also shown that employees belong to different cultures and values
in the company, which makes it more difficult for the organization to understand the different needs of all the
employees. It is a difficult task for management to know the perception level of all the employees that will help the
organization take certain decisions and make strategies to retain them for a longer period of time. The use of
different training and development programs within an organization generally needs expert advice, and is normally
