Introduction
Background of research
Talent management is a process of managing different type of HR processes such as
recruiting the right candidate, onboarding them and conducting succession planning. Talent
management practices helps in organisations increase efficiency to conduct roles and
responsibilities and satisfy consumers (Shet, 2020). With the help of having an efficient talent
management system organization can have a strategic hiring process that further helps in
improving onboarding experience and retaining top talent. The present research emphasise on
talent management as an effective strategic priority as it helps organization to recruit really
talented candidates through which integration of task can be done in efficient manner. Present
search will emphasise on ALDI which is operating its roles and responsibilities in retail industry
offers wide range of products via supermarket, convenience store, hypermarket, superstore etc.

Rationale
The present research topic is rational as it is conducted on talent management which is
essential for any organization irrespective of its size scope and industry. Talent management is
function which helps organization to higher measure performance, develop reward and establish
succession planning for their workforce (Tamunomiebi and Worgu, 2020). A strong talent
management system help organisations to conduct effective recruiting in talent acquisition which
helps them to serve consumers effectively. With the help of present research organizations in
retail sector can implement strategies through which they cannot only retain talent employees for
longer period of time but can also serve consumers needs and demands effectively. Present
research is also rational as it will help in developing the current level of understanding and
knowledge of researcher on talent management concept and will help in enhancing research
conducting ability.
Literature Review
Literature review is defined as an overview of previously published work on a specific topic.
In simple term literature review is basically in form of academic writing which demonstrate
knowledge and understanding of the academic literature on a particular topic (Leggat and
Howard, 2020). In context with present research literature review on talent management as a
strategic priority on ALDI company is being conducted.

According to the viewpoint of Swailes, 2020 talent management is defined as a concept
in which human resource managers engage in the process of recruiting, onboarding, succession,
planning, rewards and compensation, training and boarding another practices to retain talented
and skilled employees for longer period of time and attract potential employees for different job
