TOPIC “To identify the impact of talent management on business performance of anorganisation”. A study on Hilton Hotels & Resorts. INTRODUCTION Talent management introduces as an effective and systematic process of analysing thevacant position, recruiting the right person, creating the expertise and skills of individual tomatch the position and retaining them to accomplish long term business objectives. Therefore, itis an useful process of planning, attracting, selecting, developing, retaining and transitioning ofemployees to attain organisational vision. For this research project Hilton Hotels & Resorts ischosen hospitality industry. It is an international brand of full-service hotel and resorts. It wasfounded in 1919 by Conrad Hilton and headquartered in McLean, Virginia, United State. Hiltonhotel is targeted at both leisure and business travellers with locations in major city centers, nearairports and popular vacation destinations in all over the world. Main purpose of conducting thisresearch project is to identify the positive and negative impact of talent management on bothorganisational as well as employees performance (Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart and Wright, 2017). This report based on different tasks which includes, research aim and objectives,literature review, research methodology, data analysis and interpretation, recommendation and soon. These are important activities which will be beneficial for researcher while completion ofresearch in systematic manner. Background of the research: This research is based on the talent management. It is the effective process of finding,creating, training and keeping workers whose skills and knowledge best align with the objectivesand vision of an organisation. Main goal of talent management is to recruit the right workers theorganisation can afford so that an enterprise reaches its more potential for success and growth.Talent management played a positive role in improving business performance of Hilton Hotels &Resorts. development are main initiatives of talent management in context of Hilton Hotels & Resorts.Apart from this, talent management also have different drawbacks that will negatively influenceon business performance. Along with this talent management will be a greatest challenge forhuman resource within hospitality industry (Collings, Scullion and Vaiman, 2015). It includes:unappealing company culture, increased employee turnover, tightening talent market, highertotal compensation demands, lack of leadership etc. These are biggest challenges faced byhuman resource management within Hilton Hotel. As it will negatively effects on businessgrowth and success of an enterprise. In order to overcome these challenges, adoption of flatcommunication, proper selection and recruitment of right person, proper implementation oftraining and development program, development of effective leadership style. These are usefuland effective ways which will support an organisation in improvement of its business successand growth.
