INTRODUCTION
The purpose of doing this project is to understand the challenges and obstacles faced by
manufacturing sector within talent management. Employees within organisation are essential
asset of company that contributes in the success of organisation and helps in goals
accomplishment(Anlesinya and Amponsah-Tawiah, 2020). This whole project is segmented into
two task where first task demonstrate the aims and objectives of conducting this project along
with project management plan and research methodology. To complete this project Aston martin
is to be undertaken that is a British independent luxury car company that offer sports car and
grand tourers since 1913.
TASK 1
Introduction of Aston martin
Aston Martin is a leading British independent manufacture luxury car manufacturing
company since 1913. The company offers Luxury sports and grand tourers on global platform.
This organisation have 3000 employees in all over the world where firm have their existence.
Therefore, manufacturing sector issues in managing talent within organisation and to understand
the issues and overcome it researcher prepare the project by taking Aston Martin (Harsch and
Festing, 2020). Thus this is developed on talent management and fulfil objectives in prominent
manner. Talent management is very effective in business world because it helps in developing
employee performance due to which company productivity is enhanced. This project is based on
conducting research on key challenges faced by manufacturing sector in talent management. On
this whole researched is done using effective methods, types and techniques so that authentic
information is collected on talent management and challenges are resolved effectively in terms of
retaining and recruiting staff.

Research methodology
Research methodology is a type of systematic activity that includes analysis, data
collection, interpretation, documentation etc. to gather or collect data so that valid conclusion is
drawn. By conducting research methodology objectives are attained appropriately. There are
various method of doing research, in which researcher chose best alternative for conducting the
particular research. For this several aspects of research methodology are presented below:
Qualitative research- In this data are collected in non-numeric manner as it is based on
data collection using ideas, thoughts of individual in terms of theory (Hongal and
Kinange, 2020). In this open ended questions are used to collect the data.
Quantitative research- This method of research present the data in numerical manner.
Therefore it express the information in numerical manner using statistical techniques.
Quantitative research adopts the use of close ended questions.
To conduct this particular research, researcher use quantitative method because it present
data in numerical manner where respondent give reliable information on talent management. To
conduct this questionnaire technique is adopted where researcher connect directly to respondents
and generate useful information.
Data collection defined to a process of collecting useful information on specific topic. It mainly
involves two types i.e. primary and secondary data collection method.

Primary data collection refers to that method of data collection in which information is
collected directly from the respondent that means first hand information. This
information is reliable and relevant because it is collected first time by researcher itself.
Secondary data collection refers to that where researcher collect information from
already present sources such as books, articles, journals etc. that helps to clear the
specific concept.
To conduct this particular research researcher use both data collection method i.e.
primary and secondary method so that information on talent management related to challenges
faced under retaining and attracting workforce in Aston Martin is collected in successful manner.
Sampling is defined as a process of select number of participants from the large audience
so that particular research is to be conducted in effective manner (Tlaiss, 2020). to collect
samples generally two methods are used i.e. probability sampling and non-probability sampling.
Within this research, investigator choose probability method of sampling where they select 30
respondents who filled questionnaire form so that proper information would be collected.
Ethical considerations is a type of procedure where researcher emphasis on carry out
research in ethical manner. In this researcher take consent form from Aston Martin before gather
data about related topic. It is done because conduct research in ethical manner does not harm the
respondents physically and mentally.
Research limitation- There are various limitation face by researcher while conducting the
project that negatively impact on action of researcher and their completion. These limitations
within research are lack of resources, limited time etc. due to which particular project is not
completed on systematic manner.
Hence, the above expressed dimensions are very effective because these help in
accomplishing the research in proper manner. It is crucial to fulfil the requirements of aim and
objectives so that valid conclusion is to be drawn.

Project management plan defines as a plan that represent the planning so that particular
project is completed in systematic and proper manner. The project management plan identifying
assist in examine the required resources and tasks so that overall objectives are to be attained
easily. Several aspects within project management plan is presented below:

Time is useful to attain the aim and objectives in systematic manner. Therefore time is
needed to completed the activities in proper manner so that proficient outcome would be
enjoy. Thus to complete this project researcher need 15 weeks so that all the activities are
performed effectively and overall objectives are to be attained effectively.
Cost defines as the amount that is needed to carry out task and activities in an effective
manner. The total cost for completing this project is £100. hence, it would involve the
analysis of business organisation with the execution of project plan so that project overall
aim and objectives are to be attained successfully (Son and et. al., 2020). The decided
amount for completing the project are presented below:

Whereas secondary sources facilitates the collection of data using journals, newspaper,
books, articles, publications etc. these help in collect data in appropriate manner so that
particular research objectives are to be attained effectively.
Communication- It is very essential aspect in project management plan because without
communication no activities would be performed effectively. Communication is
important to collect and gather the information on specific topic so that particular
research is to be done properly (Tarique, 2021). To communicate the task various

medium are used by investigator so that proper data is delivered to correct people in right
time. To communicate the activities e-mails is to be used by researcher so that member
involved within research easily understand the task and perform it in proficient manner.
Risk- While conducting the research, researcher face several types of risk in gather the
information from participants (Gardas and et. al., 2019). In this the major risk is face
threat of copy the data due to which ineffectiveness would be faced. Hence, to eliminate
this issue researcher mainly focus on frame strategy related to using technical security so
that effectiveness in research would be maintained.
Scope- It is another crucial determinant within research methodology that present the
scope of particular research. Therefore, to conduct this project the scope is based on
understand the challenges and obstacles face by manufacturing sector in talent
management to attract or retain talent. This project reflects variety of strategies to
overcome the challenges in talent management so that manufacturing department
effectively implement talent management for attain high profitable results. To generate
and develop reliable information this report use proper methods so that overall aims and
objectives are attained.
Resources- It defined to the important aspect in research methodology. This term depict
the resources which are needed to attain aims and objectives in appropriate manner so
that it reach to the closing step (Kwon and Jang, 2021). Therefore, major resources are
manpower, machines etc. that are needed to complete the research in set time frame.
Gantt chart
It is described as an understanding of the project planning in effective manner so aims
and objectives of particular research project is attained. It is a type of project planner where
activities are performed as per the set time period which was done using Gantt chart. Thus this
chart is segmented into two parts where first part represent activities and second part represent
time of completing it. This chart track activities time so that overall research objectives is

create challenge in attract or retain talented workforce in manufacturing sector. To remove this
challenge Aston Martin emphasis on offering attracting pay to employees so that employees are
satisfied with their working. Organisation also emphasis on find right talent by using campus
recruitments to strengthen the talent pipeline. Clearly express the job role, culture so that talent
are retain within company ensures to eliminate the small and big health & life related risk using
technology such as virtual reality, AI etc.

From preceding study it is concluded that talent management is important concept within
each and every sector of business organisation. Therefore it support in retain and attract talent
within organisation but also contains some challenges while handling employees within
manufacturing sector. To effectively understand the talent management this report is prepared
where researcher use the Gantt chart, WBS, research methodology, findings so that reliable and
relevant information to attain objectives based on talent management is fulfilled. In this
secondary (literature review) and primary method (questionnaire) were used to collect
information properly and attain the particular research aims and objectives.
