INTRODUCTION
In order to manage a business organisation, it is significant that different strategies as
well as policies are initiated so that productive amount of variations is engaged through which
long term development are evoked with full perfection. It is essential for a business organisation
to fulfil both long as well as short term goals in a successful manner. The concept of talent
management is described as a procedure of managing and maintaining human resource of a
company in order to achieve all targets and enhancement in the overall performance of an
organisation (Farndale and et.al, 2021). It is indulged with evaluating the basic need for human
resource and in accordance with that hiring right individual at right period of time and for the
correct position. The below report is based on Pall-ex group Ltd. It is a small-scale business
organisation which was founded in the year 1996. The company is involved in international
freight transportation by road as well as handling cargo for all land transport activities. The
report involves aims and objectives, small-scale research, findings and reflection.

Research Aim: -
“To examine different talent management strategies used by a business in order to
enhance satisfaction and retain more employees”. A case study on Pall-ex group Ltd.
Research objectives: -
 To understand the concept of talent-management.
 To analyse several challenges faced by a company in implementing efficient practices of
talent management.
 To develop appropriate strategies to deal with challenges that are taking place in talent
management for both retention and employee satisfaction.
The main reason behind initiating this study is to examine numerous talent-management
strategies which are implemented by the company in order to build up the level of satisfaction
and retention. Besides this, it also deal with different challenges that are linked with this concept.

It helps a research worker in both professional as well as personal relation. While assessing
professional relation, it helps in retaining at workplace in which researcher will perform their
job.
 Time: - It refers to the total time which is taken by the researcher to accomplish the
project objectives. It is important to attain accurate time so that there is no delay in
conducting the research.
 Risk: - In every project, there is some sort of risks that might occur while carrying out the
project to affect the quality that leads to barrier. There are many risks associated with this
project like wrong cost estimation and so on.
 Quality: - It is connected with results that are attained during the completion of project. It
is essential to gather authentic data in context with high level quality.
 Communication factor: - It is one of the most important elements that derive to help in
implementing effective communication so that proper coordination can be done and all
outcomes can be achieved in an efficient way.
 Scope: - The scope of the project is to determine all goals and objectives that need to be
accomplished, cost, deadline and so on.
Literature review
It is defined as an analysis of overall data on specific topic and is also engaged with
evaluation of current information in order to determine several theories and methods. It involves
comprehensive research in terms of earlier one.
Concept of talent-management
As per the view point of Prarthana Ghosh, 2021, talent-management is mainly a
procedure of attaining right talented people and helping them to grow as per their capabilities. It
is involved with different talent gaps and on-boarding essential candidates. They are grown with
respect to development of their skills and at the same point of time effective level of motivation
is provided. The process of talent-management is acquired six elements and these are planning,
attracting, selecting, enhancing, retaining and transitioning (Situmorang, Thamrin and Nadjib,
2021). In context with the model of talent management, the four elements which are engaged
with this are assess, acquire, deploy and develop. All employees who are talented enough helps a
business organisation in attaining effective competitive advantage by accomplishing all tasks. It

is being examined that talent-management helps in acquiring high level of growth in such a
competitive marketplace.
Several challenges faced by company in establishing efficient practices of talent management
As per the view point of Navdeep Kaur, 2019, talent-management is facing numerous
challenges constantly. One of the main challenges that are being faced is poor strategies of
hiring. It is very much necessary for an organisation to have strong and efficient staffing
management plan. If they lack in such plan, several difficulties can be faced by them in future.
Besides this, it also leads to difficulty in sourcing up top talent and attracting them to join their
company (Choi and Huynh, 2021). Another challenge associated with this is the inexperience in
technology. It becomes essential for a company to make the usage of advanced level of
technologies. Due to less knowledge about effective technologies, the process of talent
management ends up and create an impact on their business procedure.
Strategies to deal with all challenges that are taking place in talent-management for employee
retention and satisfaction
According to the view point of Elizabeth Quirk, 2019, to deal with different challenges, it
is important that companies are providing efficient chances to workers in order to learn new
things and achieve growth. This would help in retaining top talented candidates. There are
several strategies which a business can apply in order to face such challenges. The first most
important thing is to identify objectives and which specific talent is required. Besides this, all
short as well as long term goals should be identified. Another strategy which should be applied is
to create healthy work environment (Easterby-Smith and et.al, 2021). Companies must ensure
that all employees are working in a safe and positive work environment. Through this, if any
challenges occur in the business, then it can be solved by working together. By providing
monetary as well as non-monetary advantages help in keeping all the workers satisfied.
Gantt chart and work breakdown structure
Gantt chart:
It is defined as a chart which describes about several times that could be assigned to
every task which is being carried out to achieve objectives. It could be initiated by the researcher
to understand about effectiveness of the project.

Work breakdown structure:
It is defined as a structure which determines a specific time that is assigned in the form of
smaller activities in order to remove complexity from the project.
Research approaches and methods to primary and secondary research

 Sampling: - There are two kinds of sampling and these are probability and non-
probability method. In accordance with the current research study, the way of random
sampling is used. So, in context with these 30 responders who are the workers of Pall-ex
group is chosen. It was done because workers have good knowledge about all the policies
of company and can also offer better information.
 Data analysis: - It is described as a method which is used by a researcher in order to
examine and evaluate complete data which is gathered with the help of both primary and
second methods (Hawkins, 2021). It is engaged with several types like thematic and
frequency distribution analysis. As per the current study, the analysis of frequency
distribution is more appropriate.
Conduct primary and secondary research by using effective methods for a research project that
considers access, ethical issues and costs
 Cost: - It is significant for a researcher to set up the budget so that accurate resources are
being available when activities are initiated. It is evaluated that to conduct the current
study, researcher needs £800 as it helps in initiating all activities within the set time
period.
 Access: - In context with initiating the study, primary data and information is needed
from all workers and it is significant to have access and granted permission from
organisation (Valenta, Glanville and Sederstrom, 2021). Besides this, for secondary
information researcher must have access to all kinds of books and journals. Ethical issues: - It is crucial for a researcher to assure that all kinds of ethical principles
are followed like informed consent and many more. Through this, they are assisted to
decrease their level of ethical issues and initiate activities in an ethical way.

advantages achieved by the company due to the concept of talent-management. The main benefit
associated with this is enhancement in productivity. Out of total 30 respondents, 8 participants
feel that employee retention is one of the benefits while other 7 members think that it has led to
better productivity. Besides this, 8 participants said that competitive advantage is earned and the
remaining 7 people perceive that it leads to low employee turnover.

other hand 4 of them perceives that it is creating negative impact on retention and satisfaction

Concept of talent-management in a company
It is examined that talent-management plays a very important role in choosing right
individual, motivating and retaining them for long time period and selecting talented workers
which help in building up the performance of company. It is also determined that the concept of
talent-management is necessary to achieve success and to gain competitive advantage.

Several challenges faced by company in establishing efficient practices of talent-management
There are numerous challenges that are faced by an organisation while implementing
certain practices. One of the challenges which are faced is ineffective leadership which
ultimately leads to less motivation to all the employees and their performance.
Strategies to deal with those challenges that are arising in talent-management
There are different strategies which are used by a company in order to implement the
concept. One of the strategies which can be used is to provide training and development as well
as to provide both monetary and non-monetary advantages as per their performance. With the
help of these methods, it leads to high level of motivation and retention. By implementing
primary research, it is evaluated that talent-management is crucial for every business in order to
attain employees for maximum period of time (Mohammed, 2021). All companies face different
kinds of challenges when they execute different ways like increment in cost and so on.
Businesses use efficient methods to deal with such challenges that are offering rewards,
performance assessment and many more. By initiating secondary research, it is analysed that
companies use diverse ways to solve all the issues and deal with challenges.
Reflection
 Description: - In context with this research project, it was about the concept of talent
management. I used the way of both primary and secondary research to analyse the project. I
used different resources and the help of work breakdown structure and Gantt chart to
analyse the research.
 Feelings: - I felt very positive while undertaking the research project because I got to know
about the effective concept of talent management and its strategies.
 Evaluation: - The efficient thing which happened during the project was that it increased my
level of satisfaction but at the same point of time, I evaluated that I faced many difficult
situations also which was a major challenge for me.
 Conclusion: - By undertaking this research project, it was a great positive experience for me.
If I would put up in the same situation again, I would use the method of interview as it is
more efficient method of conducting research.
 Action: - In future, I could take an advice from other people also as what kind of method I
should use while conducting the research. As it would help me feel more organised and
could increase my confidence level.

Alternative research methodologies
Interview is the most suitable method to conduct a research. As it is an efficient tool of
measuring the data and attaining accurate facts and figures (Gökalp and et.al, 2021). In order to
gather data, interview provides reliable information and also improves the understanding about
impact of talent-management strategies.
Recommendation
It has been recommended that companies should involve their employees in the process
of decision making as it would lead to more creativity and efficient ideas. It will also lead the
workers to feel more valuable so that they remain satisfied with the company. Some of the
recommendations are as follows: -
 It is recommended that company should use different talent strategies through which
employees could be retained high amounts.
 Higher communication should be created so that all employees could interact effectively
as well as understand knowledge in the right manner to get high results.
 Companies should also provide training and development services to workers so that their
skills can be enhanced.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been analysed that talent-management is one of the best
strategic practice in order to attract and retain talented people. Besides this, it is examined that
business organisations face several challenges while initiating different practices like increment
in employee turnover and many more. With the help of questionnaire being conducted,
researcher is able to attain efficient knowledge about particular topic that leads to development.
