E – Portfolio: Talent strategies to attract and retain people? 1 – Project planning Scope: This project is related to training and development and in order to get success for this project, a person needs to consider different activities and tasks(Calimag, 2021). These activities and task to be consider by managers of company in Unilever Plc is mentioned below: Planning is one of important activities which is to be consider by managers of company in order to initiate a project. Organising that whole project is important which allow them to complete things in effective manner. Supervision is also required to complete a project as in this, a person needs to supervise other people in order to identify mistakes and their ways of doing things. Monitoring is also an activity which allow a person to monitoring and analyse their mistakes(Cantrell, 2021). Control is also an important activity that helps to managers of company to correct them in order to complete work in effective manner. Milestones: A project require mainly 5 phases for completing and managing a project in effective manner. These phases in context of Unilever Plc is mentioned below: Project initiation:It is a phase in which managers of Unilever plc is making decision for training and development event for employees(Di Silvestro and Nadir, 2021). For this, they are developing goals and defining it to members of team. Project planning:In this step, managers are preparing road map in which they decide different types of things for this project. They are identifying requirement, schedule of project, communication plan and delivering of goals. Project execution:it is another stage in which actual work is executed In this experts are providing training to employees by analysing and monitoring their work. 3
Monitoring and Control:In this stage, managers of Unilever Plc are monitoring project and controlling if there is different in goals and actual performance by identifying causes of differences(Dobiasch and Oppl, 2021). Completion:It is the last stage of project completion in which project is fully delivered and feedback is taken from employees for their training in order to take corrective action for future. Initiation, planning and execution: Details of activities to be carried in the project In this, managers of Unilever Plc will communicate with employees which helps them to understand where problems are faced by employees for completion of work in effective manner. In order to overcome of these problems, managers of company needs to provide them training and development(Robbrecht, Embo and Van Winckel, 2021). For this, managers of companyneeds to provide them new ways of doing things effectively that improve their efficiency of doing work. It allow managers of company to be prepare for employees to use new technology introduced in their organisation for purpose of improvement of their production capability. But this project is completed as it is planned as employees are ready to learn new things. This project is planned for 10 days which is completed on deadline of project. There is no requirement for making changes in project. Risks and/or issues identified There are various risk associated with this project as if managers are unable to communicate with employees in right manner, it can create problems for them as employees can go against them and can go for strike. It can create negative impact over productivity of company. It require proper communication and team working skills of completion of this project. Problems encountered There are various challenges occur in path of completion of this project. These challenges are related to coordination among team members, their ways of reacting towards this project, communication and many more. In order to overcome of these challenges, managers of project needs to adopt effective leadership which allow them to influence behaviour of other people. They can also adopt motivation which assist them creating willingness among them. New ideas and change of project direction In order to execute these ideas in organisation and implementing this project in company, managers needs to address risk present in that project. There are different types of risk present in a project like technology, cost, scope creep, communicationriskandothers.Directionofmanagerscanchangewaysof working in organisation as it create significant impact of employees and other team members. These changes can be occur in leadership, motivation and other 5
thing of a person. Before this, managers are providing basic training to employees but changes has made in their direction in which they are carefully analysing work of an employees and correcting it in order to improve their efficiency. What have you learned about yourself through your work? In this, I have learned various new things which is important for me in order to develop new skill. In this, I leaned new ways of leadership and motivation which is important for a person. I also learn about how to deal with a team and coordinate with their efforts. These learning will also helps me in future period of time in order to handle a project in more efficient manner. While dealing with these situation, I feel motivated to get success for this project. But while facing challenges, I get demotivated but my seniors provide me support them make me improve my performance and provide me success in this project. Next steps for your work In completion of this work, I prioritise work that are related to success of project instead of my personal work. I also focus on urgent and important work which allow me complete work on time. It allow me to saves time for completion of work on time. Project plan status to date I feel that I was able to complete this work on time which provide me success. Before starting this work, I made a schedule for completion of work. With following all these things, I am able to complete this project on time. Completion of small pre decided activities on time provide me success for this project. 6

Achieving your aims Yes, my work attain success of my aims and I get to know this by viewing performance of employees. In order to assess their performance, we measure time for producing a unit in compare to time after training for producing a unit.
