INTRODUCTION
Profession of Nurses is increasing in a country day by day as people are eager to become
a nurse in today time. Ensuring that nurses can practise is according to the philosophical
underpinning of their profession is said to an important factor and that is why it is considered to
be a key element of retention and recruitment of nurse workforce (Badowski, 2017). There are
certain factors which influence student transition to beginning level professional nursing practise.
In this report the factors which is impacting newly registered nurses under NNBA, which is
related to factors of increasing independent workloads. It will affect the workload and manage
the individual workload which affect the patients and administrative work which is related to
effective So this impact there physical and mental health. In this report there is a discussion of
this factor is increasing independent workloads on nursing professional. Then at last there is a
recommendation and conclusion of the factor which should be addressed.

Healthcare services are increasing day by day in this world, the role of healthcare
services is vital in the healthcare sector. Number of nursing graduates is also increasing day by
day. Nursing graduates mainly do a professional course to learn nursing skills, however this
course does not include their registration as professional nurses (Orgambídez‐Ramos, and et.al.,
2017). One of the significant factor which may related to nursing intensity and workload which
are basically related to different as it will make an respect to large functional status, using care
and make severity of symptoms. This can cause disturbance in sleep and also results in many
diseases such as cardiovascular disease and psychological symptoms which includes anxiety and
irritability. The Government health services (GHS) in Australia is under investigation to provide
them safe and secure high quality of care to patients. Now in modern world there are about fifth
of worldwide populations is engaged in shift work. About one and second in health care system
(Workload in Nursing: A Descriptive Study Using Cognitive Work Analysis, 2020).
As while new graduate students, they just get stress in their life and this causes their
mental and physical health. As rotational shifts and nights shifts are the most frequent reasons for
disruption of circadian rhythms and this causes essential alterations of sleep and biological

functions. This will overall results in physical and psychological well being and negative
conditions of work performance on new graduate nurses. This is become important concept for
analysing the situation of nurses who are facing independent workload that increase nurses
functions and make improvement in health care organisation. Many of the researchers identifies
that maladaptation syndrome is related with shift working and characterised by sleeping and
waking, there is a increase in cardiovascular diseases. These are all disorders which are being in
the new graduate nurses when they work in workload pressure and many rotational shifts. These
disorders have been noted from about 24.45 to 44.3% (Veenema, and et.al., 2017). In recent
study it is noticed that new graduates have been given this night pressure which occur due to
independent pressure arises in the absence of doctors team. There is a correlation analysis which
indicates that shift work initially disturbs sleep and other variables of the body. This can also
cause situational differences.
Some of the nurses thinks that while working in workload pressure which will pay higher
as compared to normal time, So this makes them working in night shifts (Zhao, and et. al., 2018).
Also there are another such factors which can impact new graduates nurses these are independent
decision making, horizontal bullying, increasing workloads and psychological burn- out. These
are the some of factors which can impact newly graduate nurses which make them effective and
associated workload. These factors creates a long impact on nurses and they cannot able to
perform their work effectively in the hospital.
The study analyse that adaption of NGN to workload which effect work creates various
level of disease. These may be related to general health, fatigue, job satisfaction, levels of
burnout and coping process of 150 undergraduate students (Patients' functioning as predictor of

study, 2021). As nurses is the largest group of health care, they faces certain risks like health
effects- as in this clearly disrupting of naturals body has adverse consequences on newly nurses

which are owned to the nature of their work as they finds it difficult to spend time with their

families. The various factors affect nurses in Australia and decreases their working skills, which
automatically leads to dissatisfaction of patients. Due to extraordinary stress on nursing staff
chances of human errors are also increased (Badowski, 2017) . Human errors causes high risk in
healthcare sector as it leads to damage the health of a patient which can be a critical issue for the
patient as well as for patient's family. In further, the consequence of many nurses reported to use
smoking and drinking as coping strategy. Many newly nurses finds it difficult to mange with
both job and family at under pressure so this may results on their mental and physical health.
Then another is common coping strategy- this has adopted to diminish the impact of shift work
on nurses. This is mainly achieved by sleep prioritising sleep and obtaining family support to
create a good environment that results in providing better sleep to the nurses (López‐Soto, and
et.al., 2019). This has also reduce sleepiness and work – related errors. While working in nights
and rotational shifts nurses can take care of patients at any time when they feels to be
remembered. Which will create the Modifying external factors like direction of rotation shifts
and work-pressure form and number of sequential night shifts worked, and food intake patterns
can reduce and diminish the negative effects of health on shift work and independent workload.
Newly nurses can adopt certain measures like power napping, eliminating overtime on 12 hrs.
shifts, and completing all tasks before 4 am to reduce patients related errors (Yarger, 2019). All
of these are related to increased work pressure which are effective in use and make sure about
some interesting fact that work as per the high pressure and increased workload (How nurses and

2021). Generally it is related to overly simplified work pressure and misinterpretation within the
hospital and healthcare industry. Some of the major workload pressure are related to different
environmental and work-pressure related to non-patients work such as organisational work,

workload pressure. Nurses of the healthcare industry are able to work and manage the
responsibilities of the hospital in an organised manner which are related to different workload
driver and these would be beneficial for reduction in workload and make different on individual

workload experience are affect the mental and physical care of the nurses. Further it can be said

In order to increase efficiency, it is essential to minimise the stress level of an individual,
different practices introduction is necessary in the nursing education in Australia (Parkinson,
2018). Number of patients are also increasing day by day in Australia which creates a workload
pressure on nurses. In recent studies, around 30 % of nurses are dissatisfied by their jobs which
is a major and critical issues for the health sector. Nurses provide essential services in the
healthcare sector, they need proper response in terms of their welfare from the government. It is
also necessary to develop a healthy working environment at the hospitals in order to achieve
maximum contribution in nursing services (Dhaini, and et. al., 2017) . Development of nurses is
essential in the healthcare services in order to achieve professional healthcare system in the
country. It should be kept in mind while developing professionalism in the nurses that stress
management plays a key role in their life. Satisfaction from the nursing jobs should be achieved
by the nurses in order to achieve a good level in the healthcare services of Australia.
Recommendation
It is recommended that, in order to improve healthcare services in Australia, increasing
workload of nurses should be minimised. Healthcare services in Australia should deploy
professional management, which will help in development of ethical practices in nursing.
Australian healthcare services should also focus on introducing a time management system in the
nursing department. Time and shifts should be reduced in a significant manner in hospitals. The
Australian healthcare services should also hire more nurses in order to fulfil the capacity of
required staff. If more nurses will be hired by the healthcare services in Australia, it will also to
improve efficiency in the services at the hospitals.
It is recommended that Australian government should also use Artificial intelligence in its
functioning. Use of Artificial intelligence will lead to minimise the work-pressure of human
beings in the operations as well as it will also decrease the chances of human errors in the
functioning. It is also recommended that top management in hospitals should not put
extraordinary pressure on nurses. Conflict and grievance handling should be also performed by
hospitals in a professional manner. The main focus of healthcare services in Australia should be
on minimising the independent workload on nurses. It is also recommended that to deal with
current physical and mental stress of the nurses, the Australian healthcare services should

introduce effective methods like exercise, stress management techniques provided by many
famous scholars, stress buster therapies etc. It is highly recommended that the Government of
Australia should introduce a separate course related to stress management for better handling the
stress which comes in the profession of nursing. Introduction of a separate course in the field of
nursing related to stress management will bring a comprehensive approach in the nursing
activities at the hospitals. It is also recommended that healthcare services in Australia should
adopt information and technology in its functioning to achieve excellence. Australian healthcare
services should install big data technology in order to facilitate nurses. Big data technology will
help hospitals to handle outdoor patients and will also help in tracking their current body
statistics like heart rate, pulse rate, glucose level etc. Installing big data technology will also help
hospitals to minimise human errors in the functioning and will also lead to reach global standard
in healthcare services. Information and technology is mainly adopted by major countries and
they have achieved a tremendous success in providing quality healthcare services.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it can be concluded that nurses are most valuable resource for the
healthcare sector, it is essential for the healthcare sector to take care of nurses. The concerned
authorities in healthcare sector should also focus on minimising workload and pressure which is
coming on nurses. This report concludes various reasons which are creating a loophole in
nursing function in Australia. This report concludes current sufferings and conditions of nurses
which they are going through in Australian healthcare services. This report also concludes
recommendations related to enhancement of healthcare services in the country. Along with the
recommendations to improve quality of nursing, this report concludes various new techniques
that should be adopted by Australian healthcare services.
