INTRODUCTION
Temple bar university is a Dublin based education institution plans to take the change to
enter into online learning market. TBU currently determinant lives of the 15000 students,
university has partnerships or associated in USA, China and mainland Europe. The TBU holds
the record of maintaining only Irish university to be elite research association with the five
Europe universities, three from Canada, two from Australia, three from China and seven from
USA. This report includes the concept of consultancy and training literature. This report includes
a brief about online learning (Orabona., 2019) and some importance.

It is expert advice on the particular subject which a group or individual is paid to offer to
an organization and company. Consultants are recruit to help companies to attain their goals and
also solve their problems. Training is very important for growth and development of a person.
The main values of the consultants contain their expert skills, influence and knowledge. Because
they work with the variety of organizations, they have much deeper and broader knowledge of
new business trends, new processes and technologies and industry challenges (Lawrence., 2019).
Online learning
Temple bar university wants to globalized reputation, so they have to move into online
learning market place with their TBU online initiative. Basically, online learning is simple define
as takes education over the internet. It is also called as e- learning. Internet has become important
part of our lives, that is from online shopping, email and online learning. Training is major
sectors that has gone by revolution due to development of internet. The trends indicate that E-
learning sector have large part of training market and also has potential to grow. This trend is
speed-up due to the pandemic and lock down. Estimate shows that the 96 per cent of high
education institutes have to move online for lectures. So online learning is an alternative way to
study from university and rather going to classrooms a learner can study at home or even they

choose by the internet (Gonzalez, and St. Louis, 2018). Many universities give these options to
students, and they have good number of students. For online degree a student encounter
resources like recorded lectures, discussion forums, E-books, Videos, Journal, Internet etc.
Online learning allows leaders to set their learning pace, and it’s also added flexibilities
to set schedule that is fits on everyone's agenda. When students are pursuing higher education
then there may be chance that they have jobs or internships so online learning allows them to
balance their studies and work. For this student have good time management skills, so they easily
balance their work as well as studies. Even temple bar university can also provide certificate
courses which to make excellent global reputation. If the university provides certificate courses
through E – learning then they get more students because now learners are more focuses on
learning new things and courses. Online learning required few things as compare to the
traditional one. In online learning a student need laptop and good internet connection. It also
allows customized learning experience that is a student set their own study place. It is flexible for
each and every student’s requirement and their level of ability. While online learning is having
some disadvantage as well such as if the student not have self-discipline and motivation then
they fail to learn. It increases screen time and another disadvantage is technical issue (Lemay.,
Bazelais. and Doleck, 2021).
Importance of online learning
Learning environment: online learning allows students to make their own learning
environment. This is not possible in tradition learning but for online learning it is key advantages
(Hoi, Sahoo., Lu, and Zhao., 2021). Here, the students only required a tablet or laptop into their
ideal working environment which helps them in maximize their potential and also gain most
from education. Everyone works differently that is some learners may prefer classroom but
others not so, these facilities give positive impact on their learning environments.
Cost effective: online learning is more cost effective as compare to traditional education. Online
learning save many costs such as travelling cost, infrastructure cost etc. So, in e learning students
required minimum cost and few resources so, it is more cost effective. It saves money and time
both.

learning. Online learning provides students an opportunity to learn whenever they want. In
online learning students can learn from anywhere and anytime which suits them. Here, the

students can earn while learning that is if they work (job or internship) then they will take their
classes according to their suitable time.
It connects internationally: Global campus is an advantage of e learning as it can connect
teachers and students across the world. Through Online learning students gain different learning
and perspectives on the different culture students get thinking skills. Its open the door of more
new opportunities and also help students to develop skills which will serve them in future careers
(Ratheeswari., 2018).
Wider range of courses: In online learning, students have more options to select best courses of
action which they have to learn with their education. Apart from the academic classes some
university provides other courses which help student to get more job opportunities and have great
success.
Time management skill: by online learning students develop their time management skills.
Managing time is one of the important skills. Online learning is environment friendly option.
Students can easily manage their work with their studies.
International networks refer collaborative schools or colleges that could aid with learners’
recruitment using local resources. Cooperated and governments organizations can also involve to
make influence in process. Here, existing campus in London, Europe and finalizing campus,

connections. TBU strengths are good academic programmes, diversity etc. Diverse selection of

Thus, Temple bar university want to move into online learning marketplace to enhance
global reputation. If the university want to take online initiative, then it will create positive
impact on the institute reputation and also enhance their revenue. But there are some technical
barriers and also required high cost to establishment of platform. For traditional university such
as Temple bar university, it is unquestionable that transferring from offline classes' mode to
online teaching mode is a big step. For example, online teaching institutions such as Udemy,
Udacity and Coursera has strong technical team and also have good technical background. So
Temple bar university will need outsourcing company or professional team to establish their
online platform. Therefore, it can be predicted that it required huge amount of cost and time to
establish platform so it is a big problem. For online learning the equipment quality and internet
speeds are very essential factors for successful lecture. Students face internet issue during their
online lecture so the teaching quality would be dramatically influenced in passive way.
As TBU newly launched program, particularly a technical program, an ordering of
training and preparation regarding new platform that is TBU online should be done towards
students, teachers and administration. So they may have lack of experience and the potential
training cost. Employer relevant validated degree is not accepted universally. The increasing of
online education industry, is still uncertain ability and unfamiliar guarantee for job market. From
the employees’ point of view the getting an online degree may face risk of the overrated abilities
and there are chance that they might have doubt on degree authenticity. Employer validation is
limited to geographic conditions. For example, university that have good brand awareness and
enjoy good reputation in European countries they might not be recognized by employers from
South America and Chain. Another important factor is for medical students as they need
practical experiments for avoiding mistakes in future which is not possible in the online lectures.
One of the major drawbacks of online learning is it focuses on theory part not on the practical
part. Because practical need equipment’s and face to face interaction which is not possible in
online learning. An education system should include wide range of workshops, seminars,
lectures and assessment. Temple bar university newly enter in online learning practices so by
assuming that they will equip two factors such as educational and technology resources. Thus,
TBU is a newcomer so a lot of efforts is required such as human resources, time and economic
effort will needed to put it before finalizing online TBU system and also get positive feedback
from the students.

Online learning has good scope, it has concluded from the secondary data that every third
students take one online course. There are many online learning platforms like Udacity, Coursera
and Udemy that offer online courses to many students. One of the advantages of resources online
conveniently, and one think is common between these platforms that is they collaborated with
learning enterprises and universities. So, students are free to select course, so they can choose
without restrictions of experience and locations. In traditional classrooms there is restriction on
the capacity of the classroom seats. But in online learning, it allows numbers of learners to
received knowledge at same time. So, this is benefit for temple bar university to make their
students double or even they can grow to large quantity. Online learning has many benefits
because by taking online classes they can save their time and cost of travelling. In the past, this
class was considered as one way teaching but now technology is advanced. So, by the use of
application students and teachers are communicate face to face through videos calls. With the
progression of digital communication, teachers and students easily communicate with each other.
Interactive quizzes and assignment can also make online classes more interesting and also
enhance learning process. Temple bar university can utilize online platforms and also start
collaboration to offer good courses and make good reputation online. Thus, temple bar university
has already had networks in Australia, China, USA, EU, Canada so TBU can take advantage of
this and exchange their online courses links with such universities. Through, this they easily
target their potential customers and also offer wide range of options to future students. It is seen
that due to covid- 19 students attend their classes online and now they want online classes. In
the past research it states that more students are want e-learning way as compare to the other.
Due to pandemic higher education learners are adapting online learning approach.
Theory and practice
Online learning has some consequences such as it limits the recourses, for example
practical experiments is not done in online classes (Tate, and Warschauer., 2022). Traditional
learning is more reliable and sustainable as compare to the online learning approach. In online
learning market there is also having competitors such as Udemy, Coursera etc. Thus, in the
renowned world universities, temple bar universities might be less or more, late for enter the
marketplace. So, they will face issue in the process of establishment and development.
Transformative learning theory in combination with the scientific methods allow and encourages
teachers to participate actively in making application and content of learning activity (Mezirow.,

2018). Transformative learning three things such as critical reflection, centrality of experience
and the rational discourse. In this learning methods is concerned with the using delegation,
participation and discretion in the decision-making process. Action theory is philosophy of the
mind that is especially important for ethics; its apprehensions the distinction among things that
ensue to an individual and things one does. Action theorists study the issues such as desire,
motive, decision, purpose, deliberation, trying, intention, and free will. Experiential learning is
the constructivist learning practice of learning by doing. So, teachers must focus on creating
practical project and assessment so students learn by doing things. By this approach they will
learn more because they learn from their own practice. This is the best approach for making or
creating interest of study between students. By this student also analysis their own strength and
weakness so, they will easily improve timely.
Recommendation
Temple bar university must seize the opportunity to take step in online learning market.
As university has great advantage of being a part of European education system, they retain
global networks with the other universities in different countries. But is very important for TBU
to stand out or survive in the market and grow their recruitments. So, for these they could focus
on training to grow tutor and students. Because of lack of experience in training online, TBU
should reflect providing comprehensive training to teachers in giving more attractive lectures and
how to declare the majority of the learners are motivated (Dhawan., 2020). In this way, the
learners are likely to be certain quality of online lectures. In addition, the temple bar university
should also concern learners who are unfamiliar with the online classes and offer them training
to ensure that they have a great high-quality online learning experience. Firstly, to launch an
online initiative, temple bar university might need or required to pay attention to design of the
website, as well as the, content, engine searching friendly, and interface useful for the potential
learners. They can also add some features to online classes, such as online quizzes, video
interaction, games to involve the learners in. Besides, make sure to offer timely support students
whenever there is technical problem or issue and ensure that the learners’ questions and doubt
can be solved within a time, and these are some key factors to deliver the satisfying services.
Along with this temple bar universities also take advantage of campus in Shanghai and London;
it helps to grow their connection in the real life. New campuses are not only for online learners to
interact in person and also make a professional network, but also to offer students a place to

establish events, to do workshops together, which is somehow difficult for the online lectures to
achieve.

The above report includes the scope and importance of online learning. As universities want
to enter in the online learning market. Furthermore, this report also discusses critically practice
related to the temple bar universities with some theories and practise. It is concluded that online
learning is growing and get advantage to cover all countries. By this TBU also get good
reputation which will helps universities to grow and get more and more success.
