TCP/IP NETWORKS AND PROTOCOLS1
Executive Summary
Today networking plays a critical role in ensuring the operational
efficiency of any business organization. The internetwork of the different
LAN and WAN network segments within the company should ensure that
the network devices of one segment seamless communicates with that of
other segments. The report proposes such a network design and explains
the IP configuration. After talking about the configurations necessary for
providing various network services the report ends with conclusions.

TCP/IP NETWORKS AND PROTOCOLS3
Introduction
The report provides the internetwork of the client LAN and the
server LAN networks over a WAN network. The report shows how the
network ensures seamless connectivity between network devices of
different network segments. The report begins with network requirements
and then explains the network setup with a logical network diagram and
the respective screenshots. After talking about the configurations of
network devices and necessary network services, the report ends with
conclusions.
Task 1: Network Setup
Requirements
The proposed network is to form an interconnection of the client network
and the server network.
The client network should obtain the IP address and DNS configuration
from the DHCP server.
The client network should be able to access the website hosted by the
WEB server with the help of the DNS server.
The firewall of the WEB server should block HTTP TCP communications
while allowing HTTPS TCP and ICMP ping communications.
