Teaching and learning have their own importance in every personal individual life. The
present report aim is to provide deep knowledge related to teaching and learning in a student life.
To achieve future goals and objectives, an individual or student has a knowledge related to their
subject. Report identify and meet the individual needs of learner and analyse the role and use of
initial and diagnostic assessment for individual learning goals. Further it describe the importance
of appropriate behaviour and the ways to promote the equality and value the diversity. Report

needs of an individual and also analyse the effectiveness of resources as well as benefits of
communication methods and media. Study also present different learning and teaching
approaches which help to meet individual needs and describe the purpose and assessment which
is used in education and training with their effectiveness.
Report further analyse the ways of minimum core elements which are used to
demonstrate in planning, delivering and assessing teaching. Report also describe the roles and
responsibility of ant all over with the companies choices. teacher and different codes of practice
as well as legal requirements that help to relate own roles. Report also shows the relationship
with teacher with other professional roles by showing the internal as well as external
requirements. In addition to this the study describe the effectiveness of own practice in planning,
delivery and assessing the methods of teaching and learning.
TASK 1
1.1 Explaining why it is important to identify and meet individual needs
According to Liu, Song and Miao (2018) every teacher has to believe and understand that
all the learner or student should acquire equal hopes and must follow the aspirations from their
learning. For this reason teacher has to identify as well as meet the individual learner which help
them to achieve best quality because in a classroom, each student come with their emotional,
behavioural and social challenges. But it is up to a teacher to identify their weakness and then
apply measure in order to overcome such problem and then acquire education without any
barriers. After it they should develop talent and remove all negativity in a classroom and creates
a some amount of interest among all student so that it will help them to enjoy their education.

As per the views of Elbaz (2018) planning classroom activities is another personal needs
which a teacher has to meet because it is a simplest key which help a teacher to understand the
nature of a student. This is a way which help all student to keep interacting with each other and
in short each activity targets the needs of specific students at the end. Another way for a teacher
to organize the classroom which help to identify the characteristics of each learner. Such that if a
student has a visual difficulty then teacher can sit them near a blackboard in order t understand
the thing easily.
1.2 Role and use of initial and diagnostic assessment in agreeing individual learning goals
As per Kaufman (2018) states that in initial assessment which provide the basis to a
student in order to begin their studied. Hence it is quite important for a teacher to analyse the
needs of their student which is an imperative part of the process of agreeing individual learning
goals. This can be done by using variety of questionnaires, activities and one to one assessment
methods that help a teacher to analyse the stage of an individual learning and then set a goals.
On the other side, diagnostic assessment are basically related to some specific skills which
provide a base line to a teachers with some specific knowledge to determine the individual's
strength and weakness. This information is further help a teacher to take better action as per the
situation required for a student.
TASK 2
2.1 Presenting why it is important to promote appropriate behaviour and respect for other
According to Donohoo (2018) it is necessary for a teacher to promote an appropriate
behaviour and respect for other such that if a teacher is getting through a lesson without any
disruption is actually possible when students or learners are disengaged with a program. Even it
is also proved that younger students could behave better than a group of adults and for a good
teacher to re- engage a group again. Generally behaviour can diminishes when a student fail to
cope up with rules and the best example for this is to rang a mobile phone during a classroom.
Therefore, behaviours should be promoted in the classroom while a session of lesson is carried
out.
Briggs (2018) stated that teachers are only responsible for their own behaviour as well as
respect in a classes. Double standard can be occur if a teacher is distracted by their own mobile
phones. For a teacher, being a good listener, not to be overly judgemental, treat each learner as

performance and to improve the quality of teaching methods which are provided the students.
Such that assessment help for different reason such as motivating, creating, learning
opportunities and providing feedbacks. The main purpose of assessment is to conclude the exact

5
ï‚· Summative assessment: it comes in an end and is used to acknowledge or present the
records of students overall performance at a given point. This are done at the end of study
period which provide an exact result of individual which they perform at the time of
entire session.
ï‚· Diagnostic assessment: it is done to identify students strength and area of improvements.
In this assessment, teacher can easily find out the weak points so that through this,
teacher can take any initiatives for further improvements. This assessment is done to
diagnose what skills a student posses and then their progression level.
ï‚· Evaluative assessment: it is concerned with overreaching performance or arrangements
in a schools. It is the last method under which entire method are combine which shows an
exact result of a student. This method mainly focus on their academic result and then
teacher take initiatives for their further improvements.
4.2 Effectiveness of assessment methods
All the assessment methods are done in order to evaluate the actual performance of the
students during a session. The methods of formative assessment basically focus on improving
learning while on the other side summative assessment provide an entire result at the end of a
period of a study (Ary and et.al., 2018). They both are interrelate with each other as well as
complementary. Therefore, the information which is collected during formative assessment are
supplemented by the class test that further help to ensure dependable summative assessment. On
the other side, during diagnostic assessment which help in evaluating the entire strength and
weakness of a students so the quality of assessment is basically based or depends upon the
teacher's professional ability which they are used during the entire classes in order to produce
best result of their students. The methods of assessment will link between teaching and learning.
Which provide a way to take steps as per the needs or requirements of their students.
The effectiveness of an assessment method will helpful because it provide an exact result
of every student such that through diagnostic and evaluating method which help to determine the
students progress which can be done by using grade level. This way is actually suitable for
teachers as well as students because through grading system, teachers can easily evaluate their
academic performance as well as non- academic performance (Broadbent, Panadero and Boud,
2018). The evaluation is further helpful to determine the exact performance of a students and
then provide them special tutor who will support and encourage them for their best performance.

4.3 Communicate assessment information to other professional
Assessment will help to evaluate the the students general knowledge as well as their skills
regarding that particular time of period. If teachers wants to communicate those things to some
professionals then they provide them a sample of assessment which help to determine the exact
information or strength and weakness related to any subject. For example, as the summative
assessment are done during a period of time and then a student is promoted to higher class then
at that time a teacher go through the assessment of previous class which help them to identify the
actual performance during past class (Elbaz, 2018). Therefore, while promoting a student in
further classes, these assessment are helpful for teacher as well as professors in order to
determine the exact information of their students.
While communicating assessment information through a teachers to any professional then
it will helpful for a professional to determine what are the key area of improvements of their
students and what are the strength points. Through this information, any professional can easily
take some action for their students further improvements. As the assessment are helpful to
determine the overall academic performance as well as non- academic performance of a student
then it will be easy for a teacher to took some action in against and favour of it (Bowen, 2018).
Through assessment, teacher or professor will come to know the exact information related to
each and every students.

Assessment will help to evaluate the the students general knowledge as well as their skills
regarding that particular time of period. If teachers wants to communicate those things to some
professionals then they provide them a sample of assessment which help to determine the exact

at that time a teacher go through the assessment of previous class which help them to identify the
actual performance during past class (Elbaz, 2018).
