INTRODUCTION
Learning and teaching resources is used by EYSF teachers to explain things in better ways
and it becomes easy for learners to understand. Learning material helps in increasing
achievement of learner’s. EYSF teacher uses different resources for enhancing knowledge of
learners and develop skills (Nguyen, 2017). The report examines, purpose of resources in
teaching and learning as a reception EYSF teacher. Principles of resource design, theories and

a) Purpose of resources in teaching and learning by providing practical examples as being a
receptionist EYSF teacher
There are various purposes of resources in teaching and learning which not only consist of
making the educational process more attractive and interesting but also engages learners in
learning and creating the environment of being productive and delivering their best performance.
I, as a receptionist EYSF teacher am engaged into learning and making the teaching process of
learners active so that they are able to make the most through the process of learning and
teaching. I, as a receptionist EYSF teacher know that the resources that are used in the learning
and teaching are very important and through this I am able to initiate the growth and overall
development of student. This is the main stream where my teaching and learning is improved and
enhanced as through different programs and various opportunities which are made available to
me in the process of learning and teaching (Zinger, Tate and Warschauer, 2017). I, as a
receptionist EYSF teacher will be practising my teaching that will help me in enhancing my
scale of learning and development. Practical examples as being a receptionist EYSF teacher are
– helping develop child’s abilities and skills, knowledge and social skills effectively and
efficiently.

Resources in teaching and why used in reception school
Resources are important in teaching as it facilitates the learning and knowledge acquisition
at large scale. I, as a receptionist EYSF teacher need some resources which will help me in
knowing and making children prepare for their development in activities. Resources are used in
reception school as they help in process of teaching and making learn some very important
aspects through which I, as a receptionist EYSF teacher will be able to initiate growth of learners
and make them prepare for activities (Gönülal and Merzifonluoğlu, 2018). Resources are helpful
for me being a receptionist EYSF teacher as I will guide children.
Purpose of resources in teaching and learning in reception school used by EYSF teachers
Resources are very important for the purpose of making learn and teach children and I, as a
receptionist EYSF teacher will make learn the children as how to prepare for the student to learn
new and new things, enhance their existing knowledge. Resources are very important in making
and framing the scale through which I will be able to learn and initiate the practice of preparing
student to learn new things. Teaching and learning in receptionist school is used by EYSF
teachers as it helps them grow and learn and make the children engage in activities such as
preparing them so that they are able to grow and develop and learn.
Specific resources in reception school and the benefits for EYSF teachers and children
Specific resources in reception school are activities such as imagine books, filling the
worksheets and teaching and learning through books, use of new technology and supporting
individual learning so that learners can take part actively. These are the major resources which
are very important in knowing that they benefit EYSF teachers and children. Resources such as
books, worksheets and taking up of activities I, as a receptionist EYSF teacher am able to
engage learners so that they are attracted towards learning and I will be teaching them and
preparing them. Thus, this initiates base through which all possible factors of how the activity is
to take place is known (Osborn, 2017).

It is important to use some resources so that learners can understand things easily. I as a
reception EYSF teacher apply some resources in meeting individual learning needs like,

activities is organised, practical examples and learning through books. These are some resources
which help learners in learning things easily and doubts are solved.

Supporting individual learning and study – This is one of the resource which is used to
meet individual learning needs. Benefits of supporting individual learning and study is learners
feel confident to discuss the topic,
Limitations of Supporting individual learning and study is that can restrict insights into how
a learner complete understanding has gained. Secondly, it does not focus on knowledge acquired.
It is difficult to decided which resources can be provided to specific individual for enhance its
knowledge and well being. (Shiu, Chow and Watson, 2020).
Aid to demonstration- It means to give practical examples or provide appropriate suppert to
learners so that they can understand things properly and all their doubts are clear. I as a reception
EYSF teacher use this resource to teach learners and enhance their knowledge. Benefits of using
Aid to demonstration examples are,
Some limitations of practical examples are, lack of scientific skills, limited support and right
skills set are not applied.

Active involving learning- This resource is used by me as a reception EYSF teacher for
improving knowledge of learners. As I try to involve and engage more and more student to learn
and graps new things in order to improve their existing knowledge.

c) Principles of resource design in reception school
Principles of resource design is meeting the learning need that is linked to preferred
learning styles, sufficient quality and quantity, simple method that are used to measure. There are
some principles of resource design in reception school which is applied by me as a reception
EYSF teacher are:
Meeting learning needs
Meeting learning need means to identify ways by which needs of individual learner can
be satisfied. All learners have different way of learning and understanding things. I as a reception
EYSF teacher apply this principle so that needs of individual learner can be satisfied. Likewise, I
have learn and teach student as per their capabilities to learn things, remember so that they
cannot forget the same.
VARK
According to VARK principle of learning there are four types of learners i.e., visual,
reading/writing, auditory and kinaesthetic (Husmann and O'Loughlin, 2019). I apply this
principle because it helps in identifying strength and preference of every student. So through
applying this principles I am able to match the learning style, strength with the student
requirement or learning needs.
Bloom Taxonomy
Bloom Taxonomy is a learning model which has six stages such as, create, evaluate, analyse,
apply, understand and remember (Zorluoglu and Güven, 2020). I apply this principle in meeting
needs of individual learners and help them in enhancing their knowledge. Such as I first remind
thing that they have been taught, then lay efforts to understand them, apply, analysis and evaluate
the things in order to create information.
Links to preferred learning styles
Another principle which is applied is links to preferred learning styles. It means to
identify learning styles that involves different ways by which learners can learn easily. This
information can be used at the time of studying learning approaches. This principle helps me in

identifying strong point of every student and provide them good education as I have put efforts to
understand the best manner that could be used to taught them.
Sufficient quality and quantity
Principle of sufficient quality and quality means to provide proper notes and clear all
doubts of learners so that they can learn things in better ways. I was providing good education to
learners and giving them notes which helps in meeting needs of individual learners. Along with it
take feedback from student to know whether they have understand and learned information or
not.
Theories of inclusive curriculum design
Reinforcing experiential learning cycle (Kolb)
Kolb theory of learning cycle includes four stages such as, concrete experience, reflective
observation, conceptualisation and active experimentation. This can be used to inform resource
development in my area as a reception EYSF teacher (McLeod, 2017). It is my responsibility to
provide relevant information to learners and helps them in learning new things. Kolb learning
cycle help EYSF teachers to use more tools so that learners can enhance their knowledge.
The learning cycle is explained in the manner which helps in addressing that how the
learning is done and in what manner. There are certain key aspects which help in addressing to
the learning method and process in an effective and efficient manner. The process includes –
Concrete Experience - The learner encounters the experience of how the learning is done. This is
the new experience and a new concept which helps in addressing to the aspects as to how the
learning is done.
Reflective Observation of New Experience – It reflects on the existing knowledge of the learner.
And inconsistencies between the experiences and understanding is addressed.
Abstract Conceptualization – It reflects on the rise of the new knowledge of an existing concept
and a new theory. This addresses that what the learners has learned from their past experiences.
Active Experimentation – They are the modified or created concepts which helps in giving rise to
the modifications and changes and gives rise to experimentation.
This model plays the major role in addressing the receptionist EYSF teacher to ensure
that the learners are able to follow this learning model are creating value in gaining knowledge
through conceptualization and concrete experience.

This theory is used in the resource development by being EYSF teacher as there is active
experimentation of the learning process which is being initiated by the learners and this is how
the resources are being used and are addressed at large scale. The resources which are to be used
by the EYSF teachers are books, online systems such as computers, laptops etc.
The Kolb’s’ Learning Cycle of inclusive curriculum design can be used to inform the
resource development in the specialist area which is being an EYSF reception teacher helps in
reflecting on the experiences and concepts towards new learning and understanding and making
the learners learn in more active and detail manner. This model has helped in understanding the
aspects of learning made easy for the learners by the reception teacher.
Maslow theory of needs
Maslow theory of needs is a theory in which there are five stages i.e., physiological, safety, love
and belonging, esteem and self- actualisation need. These needs should be fulfilled by reception
EYSF teacher to meet individual needs of learners (Amin, 2021). Maslow theory of needs
provide EYSF teachers a reminder that learners are not going to perform well if their needs are
not fulfilled. This theory helps me in identifying need of learner and provide them relevant
information so that their needs can be satisfied.
There are five stages which are included within the Maslow theory of needs and are
explained as –
Physiological Needs – The human requirements such as sex, food, sleep, drink, shelter, warmth
are being analysed within this perspective. If these needs are not satisfied, then the human body
is unable to function as they are the most important needs which are to be addressed and
fulfilled.
Safety Needs – The safety and security of the individual is being addressed within this need.
These needs can be fulfilled by the safety and security needs which are keen and for the purpose
to be fulfilled.
Love and Belongingness Needs – It involves feeling of belongingness which helps in knowing
that the love and belongingness is very important for addressing the major points which enables
the individual to take care of themselves.
Esteem Needs – It includes self - worth, respect, accomplishment. There are two aspects which
are addressed within this need which are – esteem for oneself and desire of respect from others.

Self – Actualization Needs – It is the ned which helps in analysing the need of having the analysis
of potential of self. By also seeking personal growth and development of self by analysing
personal experiences at large scale.
This model is linked to the aspects as to how the learners are made to learn about their
needs and requirements by the help of understanding and providing knowledge through
receptionist EYSF teacher.
The resources which are needed by the EYSF teachers for application of this model is
analysed by providing the learners the safety and security needs and the other needs which helps
in addressing and fulfilling the psychological needs. The regular needs and resources to the
learners are made valuable and this helps in knowing that the resources such as shelter, food and
water are providence for the aspects of how effectively the resources are managed and are
needed by the EYSF teachers.
Examples of reception area EYSF teacher are – They help in motivating the children and make
them available the resources for learning so that they are able to gain knowledge. The EYSF
teacher within the reception area helps in understanding the roles and responsibilities of
themselves and addresses the children by providing the details and information regarding their
learning.
The Maslow Theory of Needs can be used to inform the resource development in the
specialist area which is being an EYSF reception teacher helps in knowing that there are some
requirements while living a life which are to be fulfilled at large scale. The needs theory also
helps in understanding what is the basic needs of the individual.
Virtual learning environment
Virtual learning environment means to provide online based platform which offers learners and
EYSF teachers digital solutions. This theory helps in enhancing knowledge of learners and
develop skills which is beneficial for them (Jani and et.al., 2018). I as a reception EYSF teacher
provide digital environment to learners and try to find creative solution of problem to meet needs
of individual learners.
Example - The specialist area which has been addressed is teaching. And this model helps
in ensuring that how effectively the learning is being done in an appropriate manner. The web –

based platfor4m helps the learners to learn new things which helps in gaining knowledge to them
and this is how effectively and in appropriate manner the changes are being done.
The virtual learning environment helps in providing the resources which are used by the
EYSF teachers are digital equipment and resources like computers, laptops and how effectively
and in appropriate manner these resources are being used by EYSF teachers to provide learners
with the best education so that they are able to gain more knowledge and try to solve the
problems which are being addressed at large scale.
Adapting resources
There are different sources available which can be adapted by me as a reception EYSF teacher
like, images can be used to present things so that learners can understand easily.
Use of images and videos
First way to adapt resources is to use images and videos for explaining topic to learners. In
reception school, topics should be presented with the help of images so that learners can
understand easily and there will be no issue.
Providing alternatives at different level
Another way which is used by me as a reception EYSF teacher is providing alternatives at
different level. Different options are provided to learners by which they can enhance their
knowledge and learn new things (Hodge, Lieberman and Murata, 2017). When alternatives are
given to learners then they can select best option for them.
These are some of the adapting resources such as use of images and videos, providing
alternatives at different levels as with the help of these, the EYSF teacher will educate and
provide effective and efficient information to the learners.
Example of resources which is adapted from the learners – The resources are through
books, videos, images, classrooms and other aspects such as learning can be done in the form of
having lessons learned verbally and written and by the support of some technological sources
such as usage of computers, laptops and mobile phones.
The reception children will be able to utilize the resources in an effective and efficient
manner and will be able to increase their knowledge by gaining the details and information
which has been provided to them by the EYSF teacher. Examples related to reception children

are being addressed as – giving the children the active role by making them understanding their
roles and responsibilities so that they are able to create value in their learning.
Ways to adapt resources
Provide positive environment
Positive environment in the classroom must be provided by EYSF teacher so that learners can
actively participate in activities. I as a reception EYSF teacher creates healthy and positive
environment so that learners can take part in classroom activities actively.
Online classes
Online classes is best way to provide education to learners and they can enhance their knowledge
by learning new things (Pepin, Gueudet and Trouche, 2017). For providing growth opportunities
to learners it is essential to take online classes and develop skills which is beneficial for learners
in getting good opportunities in future.
Apply new technology
I as a reception EYSF teacher use new technology like, share information online and encourage
learners to participate in activities. Online activities is conducted to encourage learners and this
help in increasing their knowledge because they get chance to learn new things. Applying new
and latest technology helps in meeting needs of individual learners (Kumar, Martin, Budhrani
and Ritzhaupt, 2019).
The ways in which resources can be adopted are –
For example – By learning through web based learning using technology, by learning
through books and reading, by learning from the lectures, borrowing the notes from the
colleagues.
Evaluation of information resources development
Internet resources to inform specific subject or area
Nowadays, there is rapid change in technology and new techniques must be used in
reception school so that learners need can be fulfilled and they can enhance their knowledge. I as
a reception EYSF teacher use this technology to meet need of individual learner.
 There are different internet resources which can be used to provide good education to
learners (Crompton, Bernacki and Greene, 2020).

 I use this source so that extra study material can be provided to learners and interactive
sessions can be organised.
 I arrange some online sessions in which clear doubts of learners and relevant information
is being provided to them.
 Activities is organised to encourage learners to participate actively and enhance their
knowledge. Internet resources also known as online learning and beneficial for growth of
learner.
 Using new technology creates positive impact on learners and boost their confidence. I
as a reception EYSF teacher is responsible for develop or identify ability of child and
knowledge.
 Furthermore, internet is being used as in current scenario, the internet have all necessary
information related to any topic that are useful.
 While selecting information from internet, the website are selected that has been written
by well known author and are valid, accurate.
 This helped in getting information related to specific subject or area and can be easily
learn by student.

and changes can be done as per need of learners.

 It is essential to take reviews so that mistakes can be identified and it help in meeting
need of learner.
 For learners it is easy to give online review with the help of smartphone. This is the
benefit of new and emerging technology and it can be applied by other EYSF teachers for
identifying their mistakes.
 At the same time, online review are also been taken to evaluate the information resources
development through making use of digital technology that helps in extracting useful
information and better decision making

school are, email can be done, video conferencing can be organised, live lectures, interactive
sessions, educational activities etc. These are some resources to engage and meet individual
needs of children in reception school. Nowadays, there is rapid change in technology and it is
beneficial in satisfying need of learners and their doubts can be solved (Huda and et.al., 2018).
After class is finished, extra lectures is taken by me as a reception EYSF teacher and notes are
provided by email. Resources for online reviews are, use smartphone and share your views. With
the help of reviews, EYSF teacher can make some changes in their performance to meet needs of
individual learners and develop skills which is beneficial for them in their future growth.

e) Ways in which resources can be stored
Use of storage device or system
There are different ways in which resources can be stored like, use of storage system or device
such as USB device or floppy disc. It is important to store resources safely so that information
cannot be leaked and needs of learners can be satisfied. I as a reception EYSF teacher use USB
device and laptop in which all the resources are stored. I made presentation of topic which I have
to explain to learners. I collect information from different sources like, internet, books, articles,
and other sources. All the collected information is stored in laptop so that good notes can be
provided to learners and they can enhance their knowledge by learning new things (Peyrefitte
and Lazar, 2018). It is essential to store data somewhere so that it can be deliver properly to
learners. Information is collected after doing a lot of research and only relevant content is
selected for learners which is beneficial for them in their growth and development. So, I use
device to store data and provide good notes to learners.
Secure environment for tools and equipment
Efforts need to be lay on providing safe and secure environment for tool and equipment
so that no harm can be caused to student in any of the circumstances. Furthermore, effort need to
be lay on organised the resources in well-equipped manner so that it can be easily accessible and
used for learning. Along with that alternative method need to be planned to minimise the risk
present in environment for health and well-being of all.
There are certain resources which are used in the reception class and this helps in
addressing that how effectively and in appropriate manner the learning is made easy and
understandable. These resources are – primary resources such as making the games and activities
for learners who are interested, making the learners play cards, framing activities within groups
at large scale.
There are certain resources which are used in EYFS which are addressed as – Shape Pigs,
Sight Word Pizza, a dice game which is role a monster etc. These are some of the EYFS
resources and activities which are undertaken largely.
Sharing resources with other professionals
Offering training opportunities

It is important to share information with other professionals so that mistakes can be
identified and better plans can be made. Professionals are having experience and suggest better
ideas which can be applied so that learners can get good education and enhance their knowledge
by learning new things. I had consult my senior EYSF teachers after gathering information and
take help from them so that I can explain things properly. I solve doubts of learners and ask
professionals. Training opportunities are provided to EYSF teachers so that they can develop
some skills to teach learners and improve their performance. I attend all the sessions which
includes, how to teach learners, language which must be used etc. which is beneficial for EYSF
teachers.
Access to VLE
Virtual learning environment is an online way to teach learners and digital solutions are
provided by professors to enhance knowledge of learners and solve their queries. EYSF teachers
should give access to VLE to learners so that with the help of this online based platform they can
learn new things and develop skills which is beneficial for learners in their future growth (Raman
and Rathakrishnan, 2018). Access to VLE is given by me as a reception EYSF teacher in which
through providing access to module by making use of virtual method is able to teach student and
enhance their knowledge.
The resources can be classified and stored through the digital systems which help in
addressing the aspects as to how effectively the information can be analysed. The resources are
stored in the computer and laptops so as to take concern of how effectively the information is
stored. The information and resources are shared with other learning professionals by addressing
and keeping in point of view of taking concern of providing the learning materials to the
reception children through learning environment in positive manner.
f) Legal requirements and responsibilities related to use of resources
It is important to apply some legal requirements and responsibilities in classroom so that
learners can learn things easily and equal treatment should be given to all. It is essential to apply
some laws in school. I as a reception EYSF teacher apply laws like, equality act, health and
safety act so that learners can learn new things.
Equality Act 2010

Equality act 2010 means to give equal treatment to all learners and there must be no
discrimination among learners on the basis of gender, race, caste, colour, religion, age, disability
or any other basis. I as a reception EYSF teacher ensure that every student is getting equal
treatment and there is no discrimination among learners. It is the responsibility of EYSF teacher
to teach properly to learners and give marks according to their performance (Moffat, 2017). I as a
reception EYSF teacher treat every student equally and give them feedback on the basis of their
performance. The main purpose behind applying Equality act 2010 is to eliminate discrimination,
teach learners properly, to provide more opportunities to learners for their growth and
development. This act helps in maintaining good relation with learners and better education can
be provided to them. Equality act 2010 is beneficial for learners as they get equal opportunities
for growth in future.
Health and safety act 1974
Health and safety act 1974 means to provide safe and healthy environment to learners so
that they can focus on learning new things. It is the responsibility of staff members in school to
take care of learners and premises must be clean so that learners did not get sick. Health and
safety act is one of the important act which is beneficial for safety of learners. I as a reception
EYSF teacher apply this act and make sure that premises are clean and learners did not face any
problem. The main points of health and safety act are, to provide adequate training to staff to
ensure that staff has understood all policies and procedures (Chappell, 2020). At work adequate
welfare provision for staff members and safe working environment must be provided to learners
and maintain cleanliness.
Implication of intellectual property rights in resource use and development
There are some implications of intellectual property rights in resource use and
development as a reception EYSF teacher are, fair use, educational performance, library copying,
focus on innovation, increase research and creative skills. It is important for learners to develop
some skills which is beneficial for their growth and development. I as a reception EYSF teacher
teach learners to think in an innovative and creative way so that they can get better opportunities
in future. Intellectual property protection is essential because innovative ideas can be used by
others. I teach learners to develop some skills and learn things so that they will not face any
problem in future. Intellectual property right helps in protecting ideas and information, learners
can learn new ways to safeguard their ideas.

G) Effectiveness of design and use of resources
I as a reception EYSF teacher use different resources to engage learners and meet the
individual needs of children like, video conferencing, educational activities, live lectures and
some games. These are some best ways to engage children and their needs are satisfied. I use
these resources after analysing market situation and determine needs of learners. It is important
to teach learners with the help of some resources because it is easy for learners to understand
things. I organise activities competition and involve all the learners. In activities questions were
asked related to education and it helps in enhancing knowledge of learners. Video conferencing

understand (Suartama, Setyosari and Ulfa, 2019). I use simple and easy language while
explaining topic to learners and help them in developing skills.
Stories are being used to teach student as they learn and remember the information that has
been presented to them in pictorial format. Furthermore, it is best method of teaching student as
they can remember the teaching for longer time frame. I arrange some puzzle games for learners
and this activity was in group. It is important to engage student’s in all activities and encourage
them to participate in activities and learn new things. In live lectures, I teach learners some basic
topics and ask them questions in between to check that learners are understanding or not. It is the
responsibility of EYSF teacher to use different resources and creative ideas must be applied so
that learners can learn things in a better way. It is important to teach learners in unique way like,
use of images, videos and presentation because these are best way to teach learners.
Resources used by me as a reception EYSF teacher was affective because I take help from
professionals and use resources after analysing needs of learners. It is important to provide good
education to learners and develop skills which is beneficial for learners. I as a reception EYSF
teacher organise activities competition and encourage learners to participate in activities. It is
essential to focus on use resources which is helpful for learners in learning new things. It is the
responsibility of EYSF teacher to provide all the necessary facilities to learners and satisfy their
needs.
Resource was easy for the learners to access as a reception EYSF teacher because with the
help of resources learners can understand things in easy way. It is essential to teach learners in
easy way and give feedback to learners so that they can improve their performance. It is essential
to engage learners in activities and meet their needs. I as a reception EYSF teacher use resources

so that learners can understand easily. A EYSF teacher is responsible for providing good
education to learner and for satisfying needs of learners use images and videos. This is the best
way to teach learners and enhance their knowledge. They understand things easily with the help
of images and innovative ways should be used so that learners can understand easily. I use VLE
(virtual learning environment) for that I give access to learners. I take online classes or live
lectures by sharing link. It is important for EYSF teacher to use resources which are efficient and
apply them so that learners can learn things and develop skills.
h) Reflection of own practice
I as a reception EYSF teacher try to give my best to teach learners and take their test to
ensure that they are learning or not. After delivering teaching, I analyse my performance by
determining strength and weakness. It is essential to evaluate own performance so that
improvement can be made. I use different resources which is beneficial for learners in learning
and help them in enhancing knowledge. I was explaining things with the help of images and
videos so that learners can understand properly. Some strength and weakness of me as a
reception EYSF teacher are:
Strength- it means positive points which is better than others and help in creating positive image
in minds of learners. In my class, I use simple and easy language which is easily understand by
learners and they can learn new things. I am having skill to influence other and encourage
learners to participate in activities. I use different resources like, video conferencing, live
lectures, organise activities competition to enhance knowledge of learners and develop skills
which is beneficial for their future growth and development. I use new technology like,
smartphone and apps such as google meet, zoom for teaching learners. These are some strengths
which help me in satisfying needs of learners.
Weakness – it means negative points which I have to improve so that next time I can give good
lecture and help learners in enhancing their knowledge. It is essential to analyse performance and
identify weak points. In my teaching practice, weak points are my research skills are not good
which affect my performance as I was not able to collect much information. Another skill which
I have to improve is to explore new technology. I need time to understand how to use new
technology so this skill I have to improve so that I can teach learners properly.

Opportunities to improve own skills as a reception EYSF teacher
Observation and evaluation of practice – as a reception EYSF teacher I want to improve my
observation and evaluation skills. I need to improve my technological exploring skill so that I
can teach learners by using latest technology. There are different sources available like, 3D
pictures can be used, advanced technology can be used. So, I have to improve this skill and there
are many opportunities available. As a EYSF teacher it is my responsibility to provide good
education to learners and help them in enhancing knowledge.
Verify information from different sources– another way to improve own skills as a reception
EYSF teacher is to take feedback from peers or verify information from other sources. This is the
best way to improve research skill because if details are verified from other sources then it can
be determine that in which area I am doing mistake. It is essential to verify information from
other sources and make changes if required. Taking feedback from peers is best way to improve
own skills.
i) SMART action plan
It is important to make plans for continuous professional development in the design and
use of resources. To enhance learning of learners it is my responsibility as a reception EYSF
teacher to evaluate performance and make SMART action plan so that goals and objectives can
be accomplished. SMART means specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time based.
Retraining
It means to provide training sessions to EYSF teachers so that they can develop some skills
which is beneficial for growth of learners. Performance of EYSF teachers must be evaluated and
organise training sessions accordingly. This should be done weekly and make improvements as
per the requirement. When training is provided to EYSF teachers then it helps them in
understanding different ways by which they can teach learners and enhance knowledge of
learners. Continuous improvement is necessary because it helps in determining weak points in
which improvement is required and plans should be made which is attainable (Hongxia, 2021).
Performance of EYSF teachers is measurable and changes can be made in plans so that goals can
be accomplished.
Observation of more experienced colleague in same area
Another way for continuous improvement in professional development is to observe experience
EYSF teachers. I as a reception EYSF teacher should observe experience professors and

colleagues who are having more skills and knowledge. This helps in making changes in my
teaching patter and I can learn new things from experience people which is beneficial for me.
After observation, note down points in which improvement is required and make plans
accordingly.
Participate in seminars and conference
Continuous improvement is essential for growth and development of learners and they can
enhance their knowledge. For improving performance EYSF teacher should attend seminars and
conferences because it helps them in learning new things and some key points are explained
which is beneficial in making plans. Seminars are organised for EYSF teachers so that they can
learn how to teach learners, words which can be used etc. I as a reception EYSF teacher attend
seminars and conferences, make improvement in my plans so that learners can enhance their
knowledge.
Attend online workshop
For continuous development another way is to attend online workshop. Nowadays, online
courses and workshops are provided for EYSF teachers which helps them in making some
changes in teaching pattern. I as a reception EYSF teacher attend this online workshop so that I
can identify my weak points and improvement can be done (Yu and Liao, 2021). In workshops
some tips are provided for how to teach learners and satisfy their needs. Workshops are available
for different time like, one week, one month, two months etc.
Practice in developing resources
Practice in developing resources means to use different resources by which learners can enhance
their knowledge and develop skills. There are many teaching and learning resources available
such as, lectures, text books, novels, images, video, audio etc. This can be used for enhancing
knowledge of learners. I as a reception EYSF teacher should use novels and text books so that
children can learn new things. I have to do this improvement in my teaching practice and provide
good notes to learners to satisfy their needs.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion it can be concluded that, resources must be used in teaching and
learning practice as it helps in enhancing knowledge of learners. Resources like, activities,
learning through books, their benefits and limitations has been discussed. Principles of resource

design in reception school such as, VARK, Bloom taxonomy has been described and theories
like, Kolb, Maslow and VLE (virtual learning environment) has been discussed. Further, ways to
adapt resources to meet needs of learners. Ways in which resources can be stored like, USB
devices or laptops and sharing resources with other professionals has been discussed. Legal
requirements like, equality act 2010 and health & safety act 1974 has been described.
Opportunities to improve own skills and smart action plan has been discussed.
