Teaching Philosophy statement
I, Bizuayehu “Buze” Lema, am very serious about the methods through which I will
continue with my teaching process. I follow all the moral guidelines that are required during
teaching process.1 I think it is always important to know about my responsibilities that would
help me to grow as a teacher. I have taught at the graduate level in many colleges and
universities previously. I was an adjunct lecturer in the Zion Technology and Business College
where I used to teach introduction to economics and microeconomics. I was also the adjunct
lecturer at the Arba Minch University and I taught the graduate level students on the subjects like
macroeconomics, microeconomics and Economic Thought. I was responsible for designing the
course syllabus that had covered all the major issues in the syllabus.
The purpose of education is to___improve the cognitive abilities of students and enabling
them for success_____.
Why do you want to teach your subject? I want to teach my subject because I believe I
have good depth inmy subject and I can transmit my depth of knowledge to other
students.
Students learn best by______following the inclusiveness within the classroom and
understanding the need for acquiring the knowledge positively.________.
When you are teaching your subject, what are your goals? My goals are to assist students
to improve their knowledge, improving their cognitive abilities and fulfill their career
goals.
The most effective methods for teaching are_____experimental teaching method on
various students, generation of knowledge through discovery and teamwork with the
