The organizations in this business context are relying more on the teams dispersed in
different parts of the world. These virtual teams are effective in accessing the geographical e
dispersed expertise. There are numerous challenges related to the team dispersion that affect
the organizational growth and performance. The main problem of this team dispersion is the
barrier of team communication that negatively influence performance. this study has
collected sample of 53 innovation themes having Geographic dispersion configuration. This
study has examine the role of transformational leadership in team dispersion, team
performance and team communication which ultimately results in in a positive way. the
authors have found out that only transformational leadership can reduce negative effects of
dispersion on the performance of the teams. This is due to the fact that the teams are given
opportunity to who share their ideas in the decision making process.
