INTRODUCTION
Developing and managing team is an important for an organisation or an academic
institution in order to manage the people in a better manner (Ābeltiņa, 2021). The development
and management of teams should be there in a company to perform organisational functions in a
more precise manner. In this project an essay on development of teams and individuals for an
organisation is mentioned including theories and approaches. This project also includes ways to
manage multiple and virtual teams to achieve desired success. It is very much essential for a
company to analyse tools and techniques to develop ways of assessing the teams in a company.
This project also includes reflection on to shape core values as ethical and values based leader
and manager for the future. Managing team is a focused task of top level management and
leaders in order to manage several employees.

In the recent times, the importance of managing and developing teams is increasing day
by day. Companies at the marketplace, try to use professional techniques in order to deal with
different consequences of team development. Developing standards in a team is the most
important function of management which enables a a team to perform specific functions in order
to achieve the objectives and goals. In the recent times, the importance of managing team is
increasing with a increase in market forces. The leadership theories are mainly related to develop
team performance with appropriate measures. It is the responsibility and duty of the company to
briefly analyse different theories of leadership and choose the best. The evaluation of leadership
theories is crucial for the management in order to increase team and employee satisfaction. In the
corporate world, many successful companies take helps of leadership and its support to manage
large number of workforce for the company (Fehr, 2018). The leadership theory includes
application of leadership related functions in a business for its long term and sustainable growth.
Companies in the competitive world, majorly focus on evaluating theories of management of
leadership functions. The main aim of different companies is on applying the democratic style in
order to succeed at the marketplace. This is main role and responsibility of a company to choose
democratic leadership as it facilitates management of employees. Advantages of democratic
leadership style mainly focus on effective approaches of decision making by formulating risk
free decisions. Many global and international companies focus on selecting appropriate
management style in order to gain marketplace advantage.
The leadership theory includes three major types of leadership approaches which are
beneficial for a company to manage different operations. First leadership theory includes
autocratic leadership, which states that decisions related to organisation will be formulated by the
leader. In this approach there is a facilitation of decision making in the company, major
companies in the marketplace, also use this approach for formulating quick decisions. Another
major leadership style is democratic leadership style, which includes the decision making by the
team members. . In the democratic leadership style, there is a formulation of effective decision
making which helps it to grow in a sustainable manner (Magnusen, 2018). It is recommended for
a domestic or global company to include democratic leadership in its operations to gain effective
