1TEAMWORK AND ITS PERSPECTIVE The aim of this easy is to consider the different aspects of working in a group. In order to consider the nuances of working in a team, this is important to consider the fact that working in a team refer to the process of sharing common interest and achieving certain common goals (Anvuur et al., 2015).Workings in a group rerefs to the process of bringing unity and enthusiasm of all the members in one platform and working towards the fulfilment of certain gaols.Working in a group consists if consideration of each other’s point of view and understanding the viewpoint of the team mates. This helps us to understand the diverse perspective of all the stakeholders (Genter 2016). However there are number of issues associated while working in a group. One of the strengths of working in a group is the developing an attitudeof tolerance.Teamwork providesample opportunitiesfor the individual members to learn and experiment with the different alternatives and opinions. The strength of working in team can be concluded as: development of synergy, empowerment of the self and the teammates, promoting the habit of careful listening and fostering flexibility (Van Knippenberg et al. 2016). These also promote the sense of achievement and develop motivation for persuasion of certain goals. This is considered to be the best ways of working together when it is taken in the right spirit. However it is not to deny that there are certain inherent weaknesses of every teamwork (Genter 2016). Firstly, it is essential to consider the fact that there will be number of intrinsic conflicts and lag in decision making process. In case of team work, decision making is time taking process which also leads to the process of loss of creativity. This is also time consuming asdrawing conclusions based on overall consensus is difficult to achieve. In order to erase the unnecessary glitches, it is necessary to develop sound communication between all the parties and we as team communicated over Facebook. This is where it is necessary to mentions that communication over the digital media leads to number of issues like misinterpretation of information and lack of consensus (Van Knippenberg et al. 2016).This communication method acted as barrier to our
2TEAMWORK AND ITS PERSPECTIVE conveyance since digital media should be considered as a mode of communication only after the facet-face interaction has taken place.Hence it can be argued that the developmental sound communication is based on the face-to-face interaction and modes of interactive session (Salas et al. 2015). However in case of sharing residuary information, it can be conveyed over the digital media. Lastly, the issue of diversity within the context of a team is crucial since knowledge about the diverse perspective is essential in order to work in harmony (Roberson et al. 2017). Sine as a team we had cultural and gender diversity inside out group, we had ample opportunity to understand the importance of accepting different perspective and ideas. This also leads to the heightened sense of motivation since it is considered as a learning process where everybody gets an equal chance of learning form the other. Hence it can be concluded that the importance of teamwork is essential to develop the knowledge about the different aspects of personality as an individual.
