they face problems and issue to the difference in the ideas
and thoughts and to develop and enhance the problem solving
skills are useful. The problem solving skills are fundamental
skills for each and every member of the group work.
Importance
The problem solving skills are important for group work
because it contains the ability to resolve the issue with
multiple angles.
Through this the time management skills are utilized so
that problem can be resolved timely which will drive the
members of entire team towards the productivity and
profitability.
INTRODUCTION
Group work or team work is the collaborative form of
working in which two or more individuals work together
to complete the task in effective and efficient manner.
Team working is most kind of working in which
independent individuals form the group with common
goals and then together put efforts to accomplish the
goals.
Skills helpful for group work
Skills helpful for the group work are known as
teamwork skills that are essential for working well with
the other group members. The important skills helpful
for group work and their importance of this are
discussed below:
Communication skills: Communication skills are the
ability to interact with other person which includes the
effectively understanding the point of view of other
person and get the self point also clear. The person must
effectively communicate through all medium such as
email, phone call, message or in-person.
Importance:
For group work a clear exchange of information
between the team members is highly important for
which good communication skills are essential.
A effective communication skills foster the team
work and also nurture the openness, honesty and
trust between group members.
The good communication skills are also useful to
make everyone in the group feel safe and secure to
speak their thoughts among everyone.
Conflict management skills: Conflict are the part and parcel
of the group work because when multiple people with
different thinking, nature, behavior work together they
involve themselves into conflict. Therefore, the conflict
management skills are useful for the group work for better
flow of work and to maintain harmony and peace.
Importance
The conflict management skills help the group members
to preserve the conflict from escalating and rather act as
mediator to deal with conflict and manage it effectively
for betterment of team and also to maintain the
performance and communication in team.
Collaboration Skills: The group work is only helpful and
worth when everyone in group have collaboration skills. The
skills that provide the ability to individual to willingly and
collaboratively support and listen each other in work.
Importance
The collaboration skills are helpful for the group work
because they increase the level of performance and also
through this there is peer to peer support to enhance each
other skills.
The usefulness of collaborative skills is to share each
other creative ideas and to share different perspectives and
experience of learning.
The collaboration skills are also useful during the
challenges as during such time people show concern and
work together to explore new approaches. Also through
this there is development of more productive team.
Leadership skills: A leader is one that leads and guides
everyone to work as a group. To lead a team it is essential to
have leadership skills which means a ability to act as mentor
and contributor for team success. Leaders are coach of the
other group member as they assist, support, listen and direct
them towards organization goals.
Importance
The leadership skills are useful for group work because
they sharpen and enhance the other members skills and
motivate them to work effectively in team.
The leadership skills are importance for group work as they
act as true team player with skills like team management,
and also promote collaboration and encourage other to
grow and push team collectively towards the success.
CONCLUSION
From the above information it is understood
that for the better completion of work in current scenario the
individual's must contain the qualities and skills of group
working. For the student, employees or any other people must
be supportive and sporting towards team work for better
performance.
The communication skills are highly
important for the team working as when there are two or more
people work together they must interact and communicate
effectively to understand each others perspective. Hence, for
individuals to work in a group a person must learn, develop
and enhance the above mentioned skills to become a good
group member.
