Cooking is an art and this is also one of the most common practices that are carried on
almost everywhere (Bandholz et al.). Cooking is carried on in each and every household and also
in the restaurants. Cooking is fun but at the same time, there are some instructions that need to be
followed.
There can be many first timers or beginners undertaking the art of cooking. It is really
very essential for the beginners and also for the experienced people for following the instructions
before they start cooking. One of the most important instructions that they must follow while
preparing pastry, pasta and also many other food is that they must maintain a proper distance a
safe distance with fire (Hollywood et al.).
The children or the teenagers must cook under the guidance of any adult members of the
family. This is indeed very essential for the safety and the wellbeing of the children. They might
often unmindful and their dress might catch fire. This would have a very bad aftereffect.
Steps involved
The other most important instruction would be safe handling of the cooking utensils like
the knives and the other sharp material. Knife is one of the common and essential cooking
equipments that will be needed while cutting the vegetables that could be used in pasta or any
other such kinds of food.
If the food that is to be cooked is some cake or other kinds of desserts, one has to keep in
mind the methods of handling the microwave and the ovens properly. This is because if the

microwave timing are not properly set, then there can be accidents like some blasts or
explosions.
While cooking in the kitchen one must be able to ensure a free flow of air within the
kitchen else there is a big chance of suffocation. There can also be some severe dangers with the

List of materials, tools, and equipment
A well constructed, properly ventilated kitchen, hand gloves, heat resistant materials
(Omer, Ismail).
There must also be wipes and the first aid box kept ready so that the medical assistance
can be given instantly during any emergencies.
There must be some temperature measuring tools kept at the kitchen. This will be helpful
in ensuring a free and smooth flow of the air (Reicks et al.). If the cooking is done in an
extremely stuffy environment then there is a chance that the people will not be able to
find any proper ventilation. The kitchen has to be kept organized by the
