Executive Summary
The technology used in the corporate while doing the communication has various advantages
as well as disadvantages. There are various challenges faced by corporates that include the
problem of the communication barrier. The increase in the use of internet and access to
information challenged the corporations as they communicate with their vast array of
constituents such as employees, customers, and investors. Another challenge of using the
technology is a distraction from the core work. The from constantly overhearing cell phone
conversations, to the workers who are constantly texting or emailing can actually do the
opposite of that by distracting the other person from work. Another challenge to corporate
communication is a proliferation of new and uncontrolled media outlets like weblogs
(Commander, 2014).
Another challenge faced by the use of technology is privacy and security issues. All
employees in the organization have some personal or confidential information related to the
company, which they can share using flash drives. This should be the highest risk that the
business can face. Leakage of data and private business information should be the biggest
challenge for the corporates. Sometimes it becomes difficult to maintain the relationship in
the workplace due to the use of technology. The formal meeting and face-to-face
communication ignored by using the technology in corporate (Chron, 2018). Due to the use
of video calls, texting, the interaction between the employees come to zero. The interpersonal
communication is important in building the workplace relationships because employees will
get a chance to know each other in person, sometimes they can share also their personal
issues with them. Due to the use of these communication tools in corporate employees
become more reserved and self-centered. They buried into their work, which will work as a

great harm to the business. These challenges can convert into the opportunities and can make
technology beneficial for the business (Quick FMS, 2018).
With the use of technology, faster communications can be possible, thanks to email and text
messages. In fact, according to the Walden University, the use of the internet has allowed the
business people to communicate easily regardless of the time zone and language issues.
Technology gives the various opportunities to the business houses to explore the business at
large. The relationship in the business can maintain without ever meeting the person with the
use of technology. The internet has made available a wide range of variety of business
communication tools, which includes targeted advertisement, instant messaging, emails,
VOIP telephony, social media, cloud computing, video conferencing, and WebRTC. Many
other applications and apps introduced in business for communicating with each other. Use of
technology makes the communication, and handling and coordinating with another person
easy and simple. These applications or app include Team box, Yammer and Google chat etc.
introduction of these applications and technologies makes the business communication faster
and more efficient. Use of technology makes the mobility, outsourcing, globalization of
business easy (Daniel, 2013).
