The Role of Technology in Human Resource Management

Reflective Essay

Human resources refer to one of the most important asset which is seemed to be transformed
along with technology within its field. Conventionally, it is outlook as a paper- concentrated,
inventive area, a sector where salary assessment and employees are appointed and fired up.
During my training period I learned to incorporate human resources in accordance with need of
hour. I experienced several human resource management system proposals and excelled my
knowledge in same through applying them on continue basis. Through this I have learned how to
use the latest technology, as it allows us to execute existing ability and project management
procedure more effectively. Further, I learned how to communicate effectively with staff and
extract information from store files. The same assisted in scrutinizing their performance and
work in improved manner. Effective communication is a two way communication among two or
more than two persons wherein the intended message is fruitfully delivered, received and also
understood (Schäfer, 2016). It is very important for each organisation to assure that
communication system within its management is efficient enough that information is understood
in required manner.
The immense of the technology evolution is going to incorporate with human resource
management platforms. Various other technologies like mobile technology, cloud computing,
social media are significantly utilized with HR sector. With application of technology utilization
of human resources can be done with effective and efficient manner (Treven, 2017). Moreover,
the manner in which paraphrasing of human resources have been playing significant role in
allocation of resources has been proven through experience of various organizations.
Paraphrasing refers to assessing the skills and capabilities of human resources in appropriate
manner. It assists in resolution the dilemma of over-quoting and under-quoting of employees. It
trains us how to be time effective by assisting in making appropriate choice for required
department.
If employee is not trained then even application of latest technology will be of no use.
Technology has advanced to extreme extent it can control human resources effectively as well as
assist in allocating same in appropriate manner. Running a fruitful HR department results into
reduction in grievances and attainment of enhanced benefits for staff too (Duarte and Cunha,
2015). I had good experience at working seminars and practical presentations too, as I was able
to manage team in appropriate manner and allocate department operations in accordance with the

field of each individual. The fact cannot be denied that though computerization of particular
function and procedures leads to free up the staff from that operation. Further, the same can be
allocated to issues such as scrutinize, modernization and stratagem. Business that devotes in HR
technology not only develops workflow and departmental utility but can also improve the
contentment and welfare of the organisation (Zhao, Fanle and Dawang, 2017). This enhancement
is seen by assisting the staff which I had learned from this so that they can get knowledge about
latest technology particularly the employees which are younger who mature up within the
technology-driven traditions that we have nowadays. I also learned that indulging Human
Resource Management and technology result into efficient and effective application of available
human resources in appropriate manner. As per assertions of Cascio (2018), with evolvement of
technology the advantages which can be attained by any organization comprise: allowance to HR
managers to utilize data to track development or further enhance contributions to workers.
Through technology we can make the things easy to collect and collapse to get a broader view. In
order to assess the progress within relation between manager and worker can also be analyzed
through application of technology.
The experience of learning period was full of enthusiasm, as I learned executing various new
applications and software. This learning will be helpful in future also and will assist me in
managing human resource of organization in which I will work. I analyzed that appropriate
technology is necessary but in order to implement same in successful manner it is necessary that
appropriate training should be provided to employees in order to execute the same. Thus, it can
be concluded than only through implementing latest technology, an organization cannot be
successful. In order to attain success it is necessary that organization should emphasize on
training and development of available human resources. Further, if required new recruitments
should be made so that full utilization of technology can be made by organization. As, it is the
only way to take advantage of all available opportunity through application of technology.
