Introduction
Technology is the most important factor which helps the business organisation to conduct
their operations in an effective manner. It is used in order to interact with different rules and
regulations which can be framed out. Information system is mainly done while collecting and
storing different sets of data. All technological advancement helps in order to meet certain
inventions which helps them to develop their products and services in an attractive manner so
that they can satisfy the needs and wants of their targeted customers. The companies used to
frame their data in a confidential manner which also helps them to get competitive advantage
from the Marketplace (Barthel de Weydenthal, 2018). This report discusses their roles and
responsibilities which are required by the company for technologies. The report is based upon
Arden University and feather covers information about the big data and also measures which
helps the organisation to save the data in a privacy manner. The benefits in the breakfast
practices are also discussed in the report.
Task 1 - Case study
Assess of Big Data and its role in Arden university with the context of two
departments as a example
Big data
Big data refers to a group of data which covers all the exponentially numbers which are
maintained for a particular period of time. The large science data helps the organisations in order
to determine how to manage the complex traditional data with the help of different tools and
processes in order to maintain the efficient work. These are of three kinds such as unstructured,
semi structured and unstructured ((Boireau, 2018). These data are used by the organisations in
order to take effective decisions with respect to their practices and also determine the effective
measures which helps the companies to maintain a new opportunity which are used in order to
enhance their business in future. It is used in order to store and collect the important data. Arden
University also keeps on tracking the important information in a confidential manner with the
use of big data. The university used to provide access to the information to their students and
other employees and restrict it to outsiders.

Big data six V's
The characteristics of big data are as discussed below:
Velocity: it is measured as a temporary value of data. Big data is rapidly changing and it
is said that organizations need to process structured and unstructured data in a quick
manner so that they can take advantage of the trends in the real time (McClelland, 2019).
It talks about the conditions that are required to to process the data within minutes or
seconds.
Volume: it is the obvious feature of big data which is mainly about the relationship
between size and processing capacity. This is related to rapid changes as the data
collection is continuously increasing. It is like ok enhancing the capacity for storage and
processing.
Variability: this factor talks about the effect of Health and evaluation with respect to the
illness and several diseases (Malhotra, N., Sahadev, S. and Sharom, 2020). These types of
data help the organisation to maintain the information with respect to the seasonal health
issues faced by the people.
Variety: it talks about the instructor source of data that helps with respect to maintain the
frequency.
Value: this factor describes what value one can get from which data and how big data
gets better results from the Stored data (Carlton and Mills, 2017). It is a good way to
value big data to work with personas.
Veracity: it talks about the quality and origin of data which allow a considerable question
conflicting or impure and also provides the data about matter which talks about how to
deal with it.
Role of big data
The big data plays an important role in banking sectors, education, insurance and many
other government departments. With respect to the shoes in organisation it helps them keep all
the track with all the data stored in the form of files (Monaghan and Santos, 2020). It plays a
major role in university which is discussed below:
Big data helps the university in order to track all the performance of their students in the
respective academic sessions.
