INTRODUCTION
Technology plays a significant role to enhance the business organisation and is helpful to
earn profitability from the competitive market. It is the system which is concerned in collecting
and storing different sets of data into a proper digital manner. The technology advancement used
to meet certain inventions so that the organisation can develop their products and also provide
them to their targeted customers in an effective manner (Barker and et. al., 2020). The company
uses different Technologies in order to keep their financial data in a confidential manner which is
also helpful in getting competitive advantage from it. The report is being discussed about the
roles and responsibilities which are required in the organisation to Technologies. The Chosen
organisation is Arden University this report will further cover all the information about the big
data and also the measures which are acquired by the organisation to keep the data privacy and
also their benefits in the business practices.

Evaluation of big data and its role in Arden university with example of two
departments
Big data
It is the group of data which is used in order to cover all the exponentially increased
numbers that must be maintained from time to time. It is usually a large size of data which is
required to be managed in the organisation as it is a complex traditional data. There are several
tools and processes which can be used by the organisation to maintain the efficient work. It can
be made with the help of three kinds such as unstructured, semi structured and unstructured. Big
data is helpful in order to make effective decisions within the organisation and also used to
maintain new approach which can be taken by the organisation in order to enhance their
business. With the reference of big data it is used in order to store and collect the important data
of an organization (Benghozi, 2018). The Chosen organisation used to keep on tracking the
important information in the collection of data so that they can keep it confidential with the help
of big data. Big data helps speed University to save their information and other data from an
unauthorised access.

Big data six V's
There are mainly six important features of big data which are discussed below:
 Velocity: It is used in order to determine the high speed processor with 8 seasons which
can be taken in a fast manner which can be helpful in data generation about health and
infrastructure. It is used to increase efficiency.
 Volume: The big data hands used to monitor all the important signs and all the hi
technological advancement in such areas.
 Variability: These factors talk about the important health effects and evolution with
respect to the illness and health because of several diseases and their evolution (Castex
and Blaizot, 2017). The seasonal health issues can be maintained with the help of this
type of data in an effective manner.
 Variety: This factor is providing all the unstructured sources of data which can be
maintained in frequency and also the heterogeneous taxonomies.
 Value: It talks about the longitudinal study which is dealing with the relevant data
information so that accurate information can be gathered out of it.
 Veracity: It provides the quality data with the entire unreliable information source and the
uncontrollable environment solution can also be determined with the help of this factor.
Role of big data
Big data is used in all the various factors such as banking, education,
industries, insurance and other government departments. With respect to the chosen organisation
they used to keep the entire track with respect to the information or data which is stored in the
form of files in their system (Crick and Bentley, 2020). As it plays a major important role in the
universities which is discussed below:
 Examination department: With the context to the Arden University the organisation used
to track their performance of students in specific academic years with consent to their
scores and other things. The organisation also used to analyse their performance in order
to improve the examination and other patterns so that the students can develop their skills
and knowledge in an effective manner.
 Administration department: Arden University also uses big data so that they can maintain
the records of their students and new students also (Das, 2020). This organisation used to

provide an enrollment number so that they can keep their records in a proper manner and
Ken takes relevant information whenever they are required.
State the benefits of organisation after adopting big data
The important benefits of Big data are discussed below:
 Analysing potential risk: Big data used to analyze the problem and the risk and evaluate
the solutions which can be adopted by the company (Delić and et. al., 2017). This will be
helpful in managing the risk and used to maintain the enterprise in an effective manner
and make them aware about the factors of risk.
 Improving customer’s retention: Big data aids the enterprise to maintain the demands of
clients in an effective manner and also to frame out their desires and rights to maintain
the choices. This helps them to determine the needs and wants of their customers.
 Innovation in products: It is used to maintain new innovative techniques and ideas which
can be helpful for the organisation to attract their customers. This helps the organisation
to upgrade their systems and also used to protect their services.

IT security and data privacy measures
 IT Security: It is discussed with respect to cyber security, an unauthorised access of the
information should be protected in order to protect the confidential data it includes
networking and computer data both. It is used in order to maintain the relevant and
confidential information and block others from accessing it. It is helpful in maintaining
the integrity of an organisation by keeping the safe information and data from the
unwanted users. The activities of unwanted users affects the business practices and what
that IT security helps out in order to protect the important personal information and other
data in an effective manner. In context to the Arden University, they used to secure the
relevant information of their students and employees in an effective manner as this helps
them to maintain their confidential data with the help of big data. Which is used to

maintain the Secure data and helpful in giving information and protecting that from the
hackers who have a malicious intention.
 Data privacy measures: It is the method which is adopted by the organisation in order to
protect their networks, files, information and other database devices. It is used in order to
allocate the resources as such tools are helpful in order to control the technological
advancement in a private sector (Fallah Haghighi and et. al., 2020). The most significant
element of data privacy is to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the data which
is possessed by the organisation. It is also used in order to protect such data from the
unauthorised access so that no adverse effect can be created on the university or any of
the business organisations. With reference to the order in university they used to focus on
securing the data while developing a protocol and frame internet cyber crime and protect
their data from the unwanted users.
Tools and techniques of data privacy and IT security
With the changing technology and advancement in technology there are many threads
which can be upon The Organisation in order to prevent their data. It is important for every
organisation to determine such tools which can be used by them in order to prevent cybercrime
and secure their information from unauthorised access (Iselborn and Hanf, 2017). Some of them
are discussed below:
 Domain name system protection: It is a kind of a tone which is held out as an IP address
which is the address of Browser and also looks at the source from the internet while
providing a unique IP address. It is used in order to maintain the reliability and
application through cloud services and also provide an approach with the purpose of
security interest. Address necessary for every organisation in order to protect themselves
from various threats which are present in the competitive market (Jafari and et. al., 2020).
The Chosen organisation used to frame how to use the true DNS protection and also
determine different ways in order to maintain their data and avoid all the cyber crimes
which can become a barrier in their education sector.
 Firewalls and intrusion protection IPS: This security head south so that we can monitor
all the outgoing traffic in the network and also can block some specific actions and
protect them from unwanted users to access it (Krige, 2020). It is used in order to monitor

different sources that all are accessing it that are unauthorized users and proclaimed to
block them.
For instance the university is trying to manage all the Consulting activities and their analyses
with respect to the different approaches so that they can save their data in an effective manner
and protect them from cyber crime. The outgoing network areas used to maintain the business
from the threat of unauthorised users by securing effective safety procedures.
GDPR and Key Provisions
It refers to a General data protection regulation which is giving a legal framework and
other guidelines in order to process the personal information which should be maintained by
every individual who is residing in the European Union (Leclerc and et. al., 2019). This is mainly
governed by the European parliament and the Council which laws ensure the general data in
order to maintain the general data protection regulation. Some of the provisions are discussed
below:
 Consent: This is the provision which helps in order to ensure that the organisations are
relying upon the various processes in a lawful manner. The companies used to adopt a
valid manner in order to take personal data in a proper manner.
 Data protection officer DPO: It is used in business practices where all the public
authorities and workers used to track data with the help of different tools. The large scale
business organisation can appoint the dpo involuntary manner which is used to monitor
their business practices in order to maintain the data protection and helpful in order to
serve their Customer services.
 Reduction of time period for individual rights: Customers and their information from the
companies must be maintained in an effective manner and the organisation should be
liable for the loss of such information (Lertxundi, Barrutia and Landeta, 2019). In a legal
manner which helps those to give a derogative tree and deal with information requested.
 Enhancement of rights of individuals: This helps in providing the personal information
and data in a particular framework with the access to the right individual. It is upon the
organisation not to disclose such information to someone else in order to generate
profitability from them. It is the duty of the search companies to ensure that the data of
their customers or other individuals should be protected in an effective manner.

All such methods must be maintained by the organisation in order to ensure the general
protection of data of their employees. This helps them in maintaining and emphasizing the
exercise of data while framing and focusing on different manners in a better way.
Task 3 Telecommunication and spreadsheets
Define cellular networks and its principal components
Cellular networks are also called as radio networks are mobile networks which can be
used to share the data from one place to another in the digital mode. It is the technology which
helps out the hierarchical structure by BTS which means face transceiver station. It is also
covered with a mobile switching Centre that is MSC. These are the tools which are used to
maintain a proper direct communication with the help of mobile phones and other devices
(MOHAMMAD, 2018). The Public Switched Telephone Network used to register with their
location and maintain it in an effective manner. These kinds of networks are used to maintain on
track all the other important and relevant information with respect to their location. These are
also maintained with several channels and also categorised areas so that the organisation can link
its channels with the help of different wireless communication that can be maintained with
respect to all geographical areas. It covers the phone and other sectors with the help of Wireless
networking as it is used to maintain in order to have proper communication and should be kept in
privacy with the help of such wireless headset sound as they are the one who are maintaining the
cellular digital packet data CDPD. They provide information with the proper transmission as
they are making a frequency and a wireless connection.
Components of the cellular network are dependent upon 4 important areas which includes
mobile telephone switching office MTSO, public switched telephone networks PSTN, mobile
subscriber unit MSU and all sell sites with several antennas. It is used to maintain proper
business functions with the help of strong networking sites. With the help of different
approaches, organizations can protect their mobile data such as mobile projects, documents;
assist programs with mobile chat groups, etc. Arden University employees use different
approaches in order to have a proper communication between their students and employees. The
complete and use email, video conferencing, chatting and other group chat so that they can
provide education in an effective manner to their students (Nishioka and Takeuchi, 2018). It is

important for the organisation to frame mount different approaches so that they can maintain
proper communication with the help of cellular networks and other productive things. This can
be used by the organisation in order to enhance their performance which will result in increasing
the profitability.
Benefits of cellular networks
Reason for urgent for organizations to maintain a proper cellular network as it is used to
increase their performance and also used to transfer their data in a speedy manner. This can be
done only with the help of adoption of advanced technology (Quisbert, 2017). The cellular
networks also use several data to transfer it in an effective manner. It is helpful in order to
maintain better communication facilities within the organisation as they are able to collaborate
with their members by adopting several technical ideas and inventions with the different tools.
There are various connections that have been made which are being mentioned below:
 Proper increase collaboration with members: These kinds of networks used to maintain
proper communication while having collaboration with their employees and other fellow
members in an area. It is used by the members in order to maintain an easy frame with
the help of cellular networks while adopting different frames of communication.
 Increase communication: The cellular network heads out in order to maintain
communication among their customers and other colleagues. It is used in order to
increase the share of relevant and important information in a quick manner so that it can
be accessed at the lower cost. These are used in order to maintain the value scale culture
and other applicable of the organisation while working over there. The Arden University
can also adopt this in order to and hence the quality of communication and also useful in
order to save their time as they are adopting an easy platform.
 Time saving process and minimum cost of operations: These kinds of networks are used
to maintain a proper communication and also used to save the cost and other time
(Rödder, 2020). As there is a rapid change with respect to the technology it is important
for the organisation to develop their mobile technological sectors so that they can save
the cost with time.
 Response enhancement: The mobile technology is used to improve the employees
response and also used to manage the work in a better and easier manner. These

platforms are also used in order to interact with one another. With the adoption of
Smartphones, laptops and in other platforms there is some enhancement In response
between one another.
 Increase production: In today's scenario the mobile technological advancement is at the
peak which resulted in the performance of their employees in a better manner. This helps
them in increasing the productivity of the organisation and also takes competitive
advantage by providing the best network to their employees. It is the kind of a positive
approach which is adopted by every organisation in order to develop better
communication processes within the organization (Safdari Ranjbar and et. al., 2020). This
helps in framing different methods which resulted in the growth of an organisation in a
better manner.
