INTRODUCTION
Technology is the creation of tools and techniques which are used in performing the work
easily. It is adopted by the business to grow their business and communicate easily with the
customers or clients without any hindrances. Technology help the business organisation in
maintaining data, manage contacts, tracking the progress and maintain the records of the
employees. It increases the efficiency of the business which help in operating the business
effectively(Shinde, Bhardwaj and Shukla, 2021). Technology provides a better approach to the
business and provides the faster, convenient and more efficient way of performing the functions
of the business. The report has focused upon the organisation which is Amazon headquartered in
US. It focuses on the e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming and artificial intelligence.
The report will cover the role of cloud computing and the benefits of it. Further, it will explain
three security requirements and the framework used for security and control. Moreover, it will
discuss the key networking infrastructure of the business operations.

Question 1
(A) Role of cloud computing in modern day organisation from cloud computing service
perspective.
Cloud computing is refers to the computing services such as servers, storage, networking,
managing of database that are delivered to the users using the internet. This help the organisation
to share information, resource and software and allow the user to work on the remote area. It
assist the organisation to lower the operating cost and make endeavour to run the infrastructure
more efficiently(Kaiji and et.al., 2021). The internet help in connecting the server across the
globe that assists a business concern to share the data and information. There are various
services that are provided by the cloud computing which are discussed as below:
Infrastructure as a services(IaaS): This service is provided by the cloud service
providers which includes the actual servers, network, visualisation, storage of data over
the internet. The users are provided access through the dashboard and rents the
infrastructure. It offers various resources that include calculation, network and storage to
the users on demand, on a pay-as-you-go basis over the internet. It allow the users to get
access the information from different location and also recover in case of

disaster(Buggenhagen and Blind,2022). This service scale up and down on the basis of
the demand and allow the enterprises to focus on the business activities. With reference to
Amazon, it provides security and allow recovery of data and sensitive information. It
enables a business concern to allow its IT user to access the resources via internet. E.g.
Linode, Rackspace and Amazon web services etc.
Platform as a service(PaaS): It is a service where outside cloud service provider manage
the hardware and application software platform and provide user an application for the
development of tools, infrastructure and operating system. It is a flexible and cost
effective platform for developing and managing the application and allow the user to save
their time. This application can be purchased by the user from the cloud service provider
on the basis of of pay-as-per use and get access by using the internet. In relation to
Amazon, it provide s affordable access of the resources to the user and faster services as
well. It provide more freedom to make experiments without any risk and provide greater
flexibility for the deployment of teams(Sadeghi, Mahmoudi, and Deng, 2022). For
instance, amazon uses AWS elastic beanstalk that offers many service of cloud
computing which includes EC2, RDS, and S3.
Software as a service(SaaS): It enable the users to connect over the internet through the
cloud based application. The user, instead of installing and maintaining any software, can
access the service over the internet. It can be accessed on demand basis from the cloud
service provider. The providers of SaaS can make upgrades with less customer risk and
low cost. It includes many business application such file sharing, calenders, customers
retention management and human resources(Gonçalves de Aquino and Oliveira da Silva,
2021). As regard with Amazon, it provides services which consumes less time as it is
installed already and easily get the way of deployment of software. It is easy to use and
allow the user to test the functionality of the software dan provide new realise feature to
it. For example, Amazon ha a mixture of infrastructure of package of serviced software
in which it uses cloud guru which is online train in g platform that sells AWS certificate
at the market place.

(B) Benefit of cloud computing to Amazon.
Cloud computing provides various benefits to the organisation so as to perform the
function and operation without any hurdle. In context to Amazon, it provides following benefits
which are depicted below:
Reduced IT cost: Cloud computing enables the business organisation to reduce the cost
of managing and maintaining IT system. The operating cost can be reduces due the up
gradation of the system with new hardware and software(Jain, Sharma, and Shrivastava,
2021). An organisation need not pay extra cost the staff and eve the cost of consumption
of energy get reduced. In relation to Amazon, it gets the benefits of cloud computing as it
do not need to build their own IT infrastructure or purchase of hardware or any
equipments.
Scalability: It provides flexibility to all size of business and scale up and down the
operation of the organisation and adjust according to the situation. It depends on the need
and required budget which allow the extra bandwidth, computing power and storage
space. Theretofore, instead of purchasing or installing any upgrades, it can be handle by
the cloud service provider itself which help in saving of item and run business smoothly.
As regard with Amazon, it help in getting the storage space without installation or
upgrading of the system and use its services.
Business continuity: As the cloud computing facilitated of recovery of data from the
natural disaster, failure of power other crisis. It help in storing of data to the cloud at the
safe location which can be access any time or anywhere(Schwarz and Bouckenooghe,
2022). This help the business to be continue and recovered it anytime. In relation with
Amazon, it helps the business recover the data in case of loss information and so that
business can run continuously.
Collaboration efficiency: It facilitates a business concern to communicate seamlessly
anywhere in the world and share information to make collaboration with their clients and
customers as well. It authorises to the aggregate users to edit the documents and work on
the files simultaneously with transparency. As regard with the Amazon, it help the
business to communicate effectively with clients or employees and give access of
information so that they can work easily. It also help in sharing the accounting records

which can be very risky or threat to be stolen of important data. Hence, the security requirement
that are essential for the business are as under:
Internal firewall for individual application: This is a internal security which is
designed to protect the network from the attacks that have already perimeters firewall. It
enable to prevent the unauthorised access to the information. It proactively works towards
the threat for the protection of the information. In context to Amazon, the internal
firewalls with the multiple networks are used by it so that it can be able to protect the
internal and external attack(Mohammadi and et.al., 2021). It provides restriction on the
access of the sensitive data dan and have a profound understanding of the internal traffic

security to the clients and employees of the the organisation and alert them from the

data. Intrusion detection system: This is a system which is designed to monitor the computer
system in order to detect the intrusion or misuse of data so that it can provide the positive
response to save the data(Furda, R., Molnar, E. and Greguš, 2022). It assists a business
concern to detect the threat in advance in respect to prevent such intrusion. As regard
with Amazon, it ha adopted the compliance standard that help the company in tracking
and recording the intrusion attempts.

This is the framework of the policies and standards to protect the sensitive information or
data of the organisation. There are number of document which states the policies, procedure and
process that generally adopted by a company for the data security. The organisation implement

help the organisation in determining the cyberattacks and respond in a positive way. It includes
the best practices such as identify, protect, detect, respond and recover. Therefore, this
framework assists in getting the opportunities by identifying the areas of strength and protect the

(A) Key networking infrastructure of everyday business operations
In relation with the Amazon, which is multinational conglomerate use networking
infrastructure for it daily operation for smoothly running of the business. The networking
infrastructure are the hardware and software resources that are consisted of various types of
networks and assists the organisation in making communication, managing operations with the
proper connectivity. The hardware networks include the routers, switches, LAN cards and many
more. The service includes T-1 line, DSL, satellite wire protocol dan many more. Amazon
provides the service of Ethernet cable in order to connect the internal workload of the business
concern(Mulgund and et.al.,2021). With the help of the networking structure, Amazon operates
its function easily such advertising, marketing, financial service and so on. The networking
infrastructure is an effective practice which ensures the connectivity of the networks and make
effective communication by reducing cost and enhancing the security of operations. The network
security help the a concern to assist in minimising the threat that are related with loss of data or
information. Amazon enable the people to communicate with the assistance that are provided
over the internet. It allows the organisation to keep the information safe by adopting the firewall
policy so that it can not be attacked by the intruder. Thus, Amazon uses the its web service to
conduct the daily operations of the a concern.
(B) Calculation of the forecasting of the revenue for number of countries:
I) The total of all countries’ “Quarter Totals”, and the Mean, Median, Max and Min value
of this total as per the spreadsheet below.
Total = 166000+130000+89000+38000+215000+84000+113000= 835000
Minimum = 38000 whose country is Nigeria.
Maximum= 215000 which means UAE is considered as Mode as it has largest modal
value.
Mean= sum of all observations / no. of observations = 835000 / 7 = 119285.714
Median= 113000 which means Germany is considered as median.
ii)The number of countries during Q2 with a forecast of more than £27,000.

iii) the number of countries during Q4 with a forecast of less than £15,000.
= 1 country
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion it has been concluded that technology in an organisation is
really important as it helps the business in growing faster and speedy working of the operations.
An organisation uses the cloud computing in order to store lots of information of their clients and
employees and ret rive it whenever it wants. A business concern have fear of loss of sensitive
data, hence it store it on cloud so that it can save it from the cyber attackers. Technology help the
business concern to make the business more effective and appropriate communication. Thus, by
using cloud computing it saves data over the internet which can be taken from the cloud service
provider. It is cost effective and help in making collaboration with the clients of the business. As
the report has discussed about the cloud computing and its role in the business organisation is
effective. It has explained the many benefits and with the security requirements.
