A) Identify and discuss in detail Big Data and its role in Arden University with examples of any

Big data is defined as complex set of data which is formed from new data sources. Big data helps
in systematically extracting and analysing information which is strong and is complex and too
large to deal storage application software. Future actions can be taken accordingly by relying on
big data predictions. Importance and usage of big data for Arden University is explained with
help of velocity, volume, veracity, variability, variety and value.
Velocity – The temporary value of data is measured by the velocity factor. To provide the real
time information big data is changing rapidly to the organizations and this involves the velocity
for information of University so that they are able to process data and results for which the whole
