INTRODUCTION
Using technology within the business practices helps in management of the companies in
an easy manner. Deployment of the technology has helped the business in making its daily
operations easy such as collecting, storing and recording the information and data in an easy and
quicker manner. It has also made the interaction easy within the company and outside it.
Technological advancement is an integral part of the corporations as it is aimed to bring
invention or innovation in the offering of the company which can help in customer satisfaction
and also helps in farming the data in the confidential manner so that the competitive advantage
may be gained (Delsing, 2017). This report is based on the Arden University. It will cover the
details regarding big data and its benefits. It will also cover data privacy and IT security
measures for implementation by companies and the concept, principles, advantages of the
cellular network.

Big Data and its role in the Arden University.
Big data is defined as group or combination of the information that covers exponentially
grown numbers which are maintained for a period of time. It is mainly larger in the size and also
supports the management of the complex data by using different techniques and tools which can
ensure effective and efficient working. It is mainly of three types which includes the structured,
semi- structured and the unstructured big data. It generally helps in effective decision making for
the companies and contributes in maintaining the new opportunities in order to help company to
get advancement. Big data plays an important role in the collection and storing of the
information and data (Sun, Hall and Cegielski, 2020). Arden University effectively makes use of
the big data so that the essential information is kept in the confidential manner. It helps the
University to protect the information and allows the access to the information and data which
relates to the students and its staff.
Characteristics of Big data

This data comprises of the six features which are also called as 6Vs that are discussed
below-
 Veracity- It mainly provides the quality data whose support helps in making the source
of the unreliable information and uncontrollable environment.
 Variety- It provides about all sources of the data which is in the form of unstructured big
data so that there is maintenance of the heterogeneous taxonomies and the frequency.
 Volume- This helps in the monitoring of the important signs and the high advancement
in technology.
 Value- It provides the longitudinal studies in respect of all the data and information
which is relevant in order to ensure that accurate data and information is collected.
 Variability- It states that necessary health evolution and effect of illness and disease
health together with its evolution. These kinds of data help in maintaining the
information about the seasonal issues of health.
 Velocity- It is aimed for analyzation of the high speed processor with eight seasons
which is taken quickly in order to generate data with increased frequency regarding
infrastructure and health (Du, Liu and Lu, 2021).
Role of big data
The big data is mainly used in industries such as banking, insurance, education and the
governmental areas. It is used by Arden University so that it can maintain the track of its all
information and data such as records of the new and existing students so that it can be
maintained properly and timely. In the Arden University, the Big data plays an essential roles
which is discussed below-
 Examination unit- The purpose of the big data in this department is to maintain and keep
the record of the students and their performance in their each academic session. The
record of their score is also kept with the help of big data.
 Administration unit- This department is aimed to keep the student’s records and big data
helps it to maintain it so that there is proper record being maintained of each student such
as its personal details, past education, etc. (Yang and Hou, 2017)
