Question 1:
The VPN that is used is Tunnel Bear VPN. It is a subscription based VPN (Virtual
Private Network) service as well as a companion app that gives an opportunity to the users to
browse the Internet securely and privately. For Android mobile the tunnel bear app is free.
For PC edition there is a free version too. However, in the free version, the user can only
browse up to 500 MB.
Question 2:
At the time of installation, there was no issues either from Desktop or from mobile
phone. For installing in Desktop, I just go to www.tunnelbear.com then I downloaded the free
version from there. For installing in mobile phone, I just go to app store then simply
downloaded the tunnel bear application from there by searching for tunnel bear.
Question 3:
The experience of using VPN is very good as the user interface of the application is
very easy to use and simple. One can change the location easily just by selecting the location
from where the user wants to browse the web address. If a website is blocked from any
country the user can access the location by using VPN and by changing the location. The
VPN always changes the IP address.
Question 4:
The VPN is having the ability to hide online identity. It can hide the IP address as
well as encrypt the online traffic. By using the Tunnel Bear VPN I have connected to various
servers. For some web sites (e.g. https://www.microsoft.com/en-sg/, https://www.uber.com/se/sv/),
it has been noticed that the sites automatically switched from global version to country
specific version. The tunnel bear report is given below:

Question 5:
By using VPN, there can be performance issues. As by using the VPN, it can slow
down the online speeds. Depending on several facts, the speed of the Internet might take a
hit. The slow down of speed might not be noticeable always, however it also depends on
power of bandwidth and CPU. Though, for most of the sites the loading time was very fast.
Question 6:
No I will not use VPN like Tunnel Bear for all time as all devices do not have the
support of VPN. It works generally on most of the platforms that are popular (Windows, iOS,
macOS, Android), but it is not as functional in Linux as other device it is having a very
limited functionality in Linux platform. With the free version of Tunnel Bear, the user can
only browse 500 MB, so sites like Netflix, YouTube cannot be browsed due to limited data.
Also the VPN provides can trace my activities on Internet that can be breach to online
privacy. So, I will not use the VPN always. However, if I need to browse a blocked site from
different country or I need to access a site from the view of a specific country then I will use
VPN.
Question 7:
The VPN is basically a tunnel that is secure between a device and a location that
needs to be visited using Internet. The privacy and security is the most important part in
online browsing. The VPNs is having the ability to encrypt information that the user is
accessing or sending online. It means the details of credit card, login credentials, sensitive
documents or private conversations will not be interrupted by 3rd party. By using VPN a
region based blocked websites can be accesses by changing the server. It can be used across

multiple devices like windows, MAC OS, mobile phones etc. The VPN is one of the vital
most component of cyber security.
