1. INTRODUCTION The entire course has been introduced to us so as to understand project management and its basic principles along with understanding what a project actually is. A project is generally considered to be a temporary endeavour which is specially designed for the purpose of producing a unique product or service or results which is having a well- defined beginning as well as ending. Project management generally refers to the practice of initiating, planning, executing, controlling and lastly the closing of the work done by a team for the purpose of achieving a specific goal or for meeting the special success criteria. 2A. LESSONS LEARNT: FRAMEWORK 2.1 How I planned to gather and document lessons learnt When I planned to identify and collect lessons learnt Who I planned to involve in the process of gathering lessons How I planned to document lessons At the beginning of the course I have planned to identify and collect the lessons which were going to be presented to us throughout the entire course. I have planned to involve my fellow classmates throughout the entire process of gathering the lessons. I have planned to document all the lessons after each and every week. 2B. LESSONS LEARNT: FRAMEWORK (CON’T) 2.2 What actually happened? When I identified and collected lessons learnt Who I involved in the process of gathering lessons How I documented lessons After completion of the course I have planned to identify and collect the lessons which were going to be presented to us throughout the entire course. I have planned to involve my fellow classmates throughout the entire process of gathering the lessons. I documented the lessons after the entire course was completed.
3.1 LESSON 1 1. Situation2. The situation made me feel… 3. What I learnt from reflecting on the situation Time Management The situation made me feel that I was lacking the capability of managing the time. Every portion of the project was running behind the schedule and for that reason the time of completing the project kept on increasing initially responsible for increase in the budget of the project. From this I learnt about the fact that there exist multiplicative effects of the tie management. Besides this I understood the fact that a good time management is essentially needs which is associated with allowing the accomplishment of more and more within a shorter period of time and this in turn would be associated with freeing up the time and this would be helping in taking advantage of the learning opportunities, lowering of the stress, helping in get more focused. All these things would be helping in achieving a more successful career. Each and every benefit that are to be received from the time management would be helping a lot in improving another aspect of life. 3.2 LESSON 1: IMPROVEMENT STRATEGY 1. Improvement strategy 2. How to measure if the strategy works 3. Why the strategy is achievable 4. Relevance of strategy to address the lesson 5. When the strategy will be implemented One of the improvement strategy which can be used is the reviewing of the daily progress. This includes the keeping a track of the daily In order to check if the strategy is working by making use of a time management chart which can be used so as to record all the activities at The strategy is easily achievable and is also considered to eb most efficient time management strategy. The strategy is easily achievable as This strategy is relevant as this would be helping in the identification of the productive as well as the non- productive time. Whenever the unproductive time The strategy is ti be implemented at the beginning of the project.

performances so as to chech if the things are being done as per scheduled or not different time intervals of the day. recording the tasks is very easy and the only thing that is to be done is recording the daily activities along with the time that is taken so as to complete the activities. is being tracked it would be providing the opportunity of reducing that time or eliminating that that time and using it for useful purpose. Posting of the revised time management goals would be helping in improving the efficiency. 4.1 LESSON 2 1. Situation2. The situation made me feel… 3. What I learnt from reflecting on the situation Communication problem The situation made me feel that I am not capable of providing a proper clarity of the project. Besides this due to communication problem I as was also not capable of creating a positive relationship with the other members of the project as well. Lack of effective communication lead to distribution of the information in a wrong format to the wrong team member. Besides this the wrong style of communication adopted by me provided the wrong format of information or informations that are entirely not related to the requirements. For every project the communication is associated with playing a very vital role and communication acts as the comer stone for the collaboration and is greatly associated with contributing towards the project success. It is essentially to be made sure that the communication which is to be conducted is in a continuous flow without any kind of interruptions and it is very much essential to make sure that everyone is involved with the project are included in the communication process, 4.2 LESSON 2: IMPROVEMENT STRATEGY 1. Improvement strategy 2. How to measure if the strategy works 3. Why the strategy is achievable 4. Relevance of strategy to address the lesson 5. When the strategy will be implemented
The strategy that is to be used so as to eliminate the problems related to communication is by the creation of a communication plan. This is the plan which can be defined as the policy-driven approach associated with providing the stakeholders with the information that are required. This plan would also be associated with defining the way of providing information to a particular person in a formal way along with making sure about when the information is to be shared and what communication channel is to be used while delivering the information. The strategy can be evaluated by making use of meeting evaluation form. This is a type of survey that can be filled by the participants whenever the communication process amongst the team members end. Besides this while using this tool it is to be made sure that the survey is short enough for the participants so as to fill it as quickly as possible, this survey can be done by means of the e-mailing immediately after the information is communicated, This is easily achievable as the communication plan is easy to create and the only thing that is to be done is noting down all the important sections of the project where the information is to be communicated. Besides this one of the major reason behind making the communication plan achievable is that it just needs to identify the current means of communication in accordance to the person to whom the information is to be communicated. This particular strategy is highly relevant to the problem that is being faced as this is the only means by which an efficient and effective communication can be created. The communication plan is to create at the planning stage of the project as to avoid any type of conflicts in the middle of the project. 5.1 LESSON 3 1. Situation2. The situation made me feel… 3. What I learnt from reflecting on the situation Change management The situation made me feel that I’m not capable of handling any of the changes which are taking place in the project. Besides this I was also not capable of dealing with the transitions or the transformations which were taking place in the objective, process and I learnt about the fact that change management is one of the systematic approaches which is associated wit dealing with the any kind of changes taking place within a project. Besides this I also understood the fact that in order to manage the
technologies that were used in the project. changes in a proper way there is a need of implementing strategies so as to have effective changes and for controlling the changes as well along with helping people in adapting the changes. This is the strategy which includes a structured approach so as request a change along with an appropriate mechanism so as to respond to the request and for taking follow up. 5.2 LESSON 3: IMPROVEMENT STRATEGY 1. Improvement strategy 2. How to measure if the strategy works 3. Why the strategy is achievable 4. Relevance of strategy to address the lesson 5. When the strategy will be implemented Change management can be improved by making the entire team work in a collaborative way. In this strategy the relationship exiting between the project team and the change management resources is teo be clearly articulated and besides this the roles and responsibilities are also to eb defined. Includes the deliberate Work so as to establish partnership with a Sigle goal in mind which would be helping in delivering the intended results and outcomes of The change management can be measured by looking into the results after the changes are made. This can also be measured by comparing the outcomes with the results that have been expected at the beginning of the change management. The strategy is not hard to achieve as this only requires the collaboration of the team members who would be working together so as to make the change management effective. This strategy is entirely relevant to the lesson as this helps in managing the changes in an effective way along with helping in making the changes work out well with the progress of the project This is the strategy which is to be implemented at the time when the project is going on and certain changes occur.
